“Yeah, people leave you alone in the South but here, I guess you’re supposed to have feelings,” the soldier said.  “We have to go have some feeeeelings, P. You can do it but I cannot.”

“I can do it?”

“Oh hell yeah. We’ll get down there and you’ll know what’s going on. I’ll be looking around like what the hell is this? I just want to know what’s wrong with hotdogs, P? Why not go to the park and eat a hotdog, drink a beer and let the kids run around?”

“They aren’t inviting you to that?”

“No, they’re inviting me to this.  Actually they are inviting me to every thing they can think of and I suppose I may be invited for a hotdog eventually if they’ve got hotdogs here that is. Do people eat hotdogs in Colorado, P? I don’t think they do.” (swearing below the break)

I thought I’d tell you what happened the first time Vidroid met the soldier.  It was stunning but first you have to know what happened the first time they talked on the phone.  It was about 8 months ago and I was mortified.

We were in the parking garage, I had both kids and I was taking my daughter to the doctor when the soldier called.  My daughter got on the phone  and chatted with him - They had already met. She’s a Gemini, he has Venus in Gemini so no problems.  My son asked to speak with him as well so I handed him the phone.

Vidroid called him by his first name and announced this:  “When I see you, I am going to beat you up. I am going to kick your ever-lovin’ butt,” he said.

That was literally his opening line. No hi, no nothing, I thought I’d die.  Instead I wheeled around with a look to kill.

‘What did you say to him? Give me that!”

“You aren’t concerned about your age?” I asked the soldier regarding the Fight Club.

“Oh, I am a little concerned but not that much. I plan to kick their ass in less than two minutes. I will beat them in one minute if I can.”

“One minute?”

“Yeah. Fast enough they can’t react, otherwise I could be in some trouble.”

And if that happens, what?”

“Come home and you give me a piece of meat to put on my eye,” he said.

“I have done that before,” I said. “Speedy hit you and I had to put steak on your eye.”

“Yeah, Speedy the bastard. Well do it again I guess.”

The other night the soldier and I were arguing. Not fighting but arguing.

“Fighting” is if we are both yelling. “Arguing” means that his voice is raised and I am still calm and asking him to quit yelling and/or raising his voice.

He claims he does not have the ability to lower his voice once arguing begins but this does not guarantee that an argument will escalate into a fight because my fuse is actually pretty long.  I can ask him not to yell at me, 10 maybe even 15 times before I start yelling myself in which case all hell breaks loose.

Yeah, Heather M. - We just started acting out a deeply rooted ritual and in fact we still do this. You can see it in the fighting. We fight in way that is primal which I think is why people are so stunned when they witness it.  You just know you are dealing with some kind of phenomenon.

This is Claire-France Perez again. I always talk to her in as Mars-y voice as I please (ha ha, Mars in Libra says please) because I know she likes the energy. “So you would just go out and get killed young? Is that it?”

“Yeah, I did plenty of that. It took me a long time to learn to stay alive,” he said. “But that’s not the reason nobody loved me. I was alive long enough someone could have loved me if they were gonna.”

“No kidding,” I said trying to conceal my amazement, probably successfully. “I see.”
