Astrology Right Now: Lunar Eclipse Aside, Endings, Lost Confidence, Disowned, Rejected And Tears!
My eye on the sky
Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse aside, with Venus (in it’s detriment) conjunct Saturn and Mercury in Virgo, I am getting nothing but news of people getting reality (Saturn) shoved down their throats. This is limited, there is not enough of that, you’ve got to work harder, longer and for less… in short, you have got to clutch it up and oh by the way - NO WHINING!
We can hope for some relief via the lunar eclipse but this Virgo situation is serious. I found myself calling the one person I speak to frequently and while she did not pick up, my intention was to either find out she was doing ok (a spot of good news for my inner circle) or alternately to make sure all the bad news was in because I am telling you it is not a good day to have your phone ring!

Astrology Around The Web: August 1, 2008: Solar Eclipse for the NYSE
Outtakes and various other sundries…
Very short discussion of the coming total Solar Eclipse for the NYSE

“Here is the chart of the coming (1.8.2008, date is European style) total Solar Eclipse for the New York Stock Exchange…

I compared with the total solar eclipse for the black Thursday of 1929 and - with some additional work that I won’t discuss publicly - the crash is to be seen…”

Jacqueline Bigar On The Solar Eclipse, August 1, 2008
Outtakes and various other sundries
I don’t mind telling you that I love Jacqueline Bigar. I love her upbeat personality, her humanness, her candor and her depth. It pays to remember she’s been prominent in astrology for years so you can just imagine all the bits she’s collected from here and there and everywhere. She sets an example for me in that she is such a giving and generous spirit. If I grew up to be just like her, I don’t think I’d mind.
Once More Chicken Little Time. A Solar Eclipse
Jacquie writes:
“As most of you read astrology blogs, it is no news to you that on August 1, we have A Solar Eclipse. A Solar Eclipse is like a New Moon, sun and moon in the same sign. Because this eclipse is in Leo, I suspect there will be a fair share of drama to those who experience it on their chart.
Solar Eclipses are different in many ways from Lunar. I was told by a wise astrologer who taught me astrology that one needs to eat a lot of sun grown foods the day before and the day of the eclipse. Think oranges.. Energy is often an issue as one could feel depleted. if that is the case, don’t push. The above comments are applicable to anyone in a Solar Eclipse…”

Open Question: What About The Eclipse On February 20, 2008? Is It Scary?
Ask the collective
Elsa, I’ve been hearing rumblings that the upcoming eclipse on the 20th will be a bad one. The planets have pummeled me this past year…should I hide under the covers on or around the 20th?
Wondering
Canada
Dear Wondering,
I would not bother. For one thing, look at that chart. It’s beautiful. (Click to see full size) See the Mystic Rectangle? When I see something like that, I figure by and large, things are going to take care of themselves but in a broader sense when it comes to day to day astrology, I think this:
We have a lot to say about what kind of day we have. It is true that events occur that are outside our control but so? The odds a bomb is going to land on your head are very, very low so it makes no sense to concern yourself with something like that. It takes energy and for what?
Now I will note it when the sky is horrific but only with this ambition in mind:
“We all live amid surfaces, and the true art is to skate well on them” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
So if the day looks trecherous I will have this is mind. I will “pack my lunch and bring my friends” as they say but worry? No way. Here would be my motto:
“See surface, will skate.”
Anyone else?

Eclipse in Pisces Square Pluto in Aspect To My Moon: Will She Let Go Of Her Blue Suede Shoes?
Astrology in Real Life…
With the tomorrow’s eclipse in aspect to Pluto (and my natal Moon) coming in, I am purging my closet.
And I may actually get rid of these today… my Nicole Miller blue suede shoes. My platform pumps with the Leaning Tower of Pisa on the heel, which I have held on to for a good long time for reasons I hope are obvious to someone besides me.
In whatever case, I have their picture now. So if I do toss them, I will be able to prove their existence.
Why this is so frequently necessary, I will never know.
Do you have something you just don’t want to part with? What?
