Women Who Only Make Friends With Women Who Are Uglier Than They Are… And My Criminal Mind
Astrology in real life
“They’d be those kind of women who only have friends who are uglier than they are. You know those women?”
“I thought pretty much all women were like that.”
“No they’re not. I’m not like that. Hmm,” I said, challenged to think about it. “No, I don’t think I am. My friends are always… they are distinctive. I always choose people who are singular and the men who like them, like them. However, when I was single? I always wound up running with women who had taste opposite mine.”
Yesterday I had to turn down a client for a consultation because I just didn’t feel I could deliver what she wanted. This doesn’t happen that often but it does happen.
The person may want some form of astrology I know nothing about like horary. Sometimes they want me to time things like a wedding, and I refer those people too. Sometimes people want me to apply techniques to their chart that I don’t use or don’t like and I refer those people as well.
This led me to thinking about what I am well-suited to and I have come up with this short list:

I am going to reference these (sort of) but I don’t want to pull them up. They are from 2007 for people interested in this type stuff.

3 Years Ago On The Elsa Blog: Scott vs Arie: Can People Change Their Nature? My Opinion

Leopards can change their spots…
Yes - Scott (52%)
No - Arie (48%)
If I were on the jury I would vote with Arie. A reprobate is a reprobate is a reprobate! And Arie knows about reprobates because he is one.

Running with a divergent crowd the way I do, there are times you find you have friends you respect with opinions at opposite ends of the spectrum. For example, take Scott and genius, Arie (a pseudonym). They are both derangedly intelligent men, who are fully actualized. By that, I mean they,ve both developed into distinct people. Neither of them is going to get blown around all that much.
Scott believes that redemption is possible for all human beings. He believes in miracles, he has seen them occur. He has seen people come from the depths and turn their lives around.

Under The Scorpio Moon: My Criminal Mind Figures Out His
Astrology in real life
Once upon a time there was a heinous crime in a tony neighborhood in one of the richest cities in this country. All jaws hit the floor. A (now) famous prosecutor made his career on the case and a number of years passed.

Writing about this “people not changing” stuff made me think of this guy I knew when I was a teenager. He was a cat burglar. Not sure if they still call them that, but he was an honest to God, safe-cracking, high end thief and I happened to know him.
I actually came very close to going to jail (or at least I though this at the time) due this guy who spotted me walking down the main drag in my city and pulled over to talk to me, fresh from a robbery. I knew the robbery was fresh because he said it was. Usually cool as ice, he was quite panicked because he had cut his hand on someone’s window.
(swearing below the break)

“Well he’s pissed off obviously. I had the audacity to tell him he couldn’t play with those lighters.”
“I told him he shouldn’t do that,’ the soldier said regarding Vidroid. “I told to go ask you if it were okay.”
“He never asked me a thing.”
“He didn’t? He left down the hall to go ask you.”
“He faked you out. You have to watch that kid, he’s got Panizzon in him. He’s a Panizzon, he’s tricky.”

Astrology and the Family - Can A Person Be Born To The Wrong Parents?
Commenting on the Comments…
Came across this the other day…
SaDiablo asked on the Single Mother blog:
“Elsa, you said in your response, “…I assure you that your daughter has the right mother, not the wrong one.” Does this mean that you believe sometimes a child *does have the wrong mother? Just curious, as I’ve kicked this question around myself a few times. I’d like to hear a mother’s perspective.”
