Astrology And Life: Is There Such A Thing As A “Get Out Of Jail Free Card”?
Astrology in real life
kashmiri writes regarding Saturn
“Basically a person needs to accept there is no ‘get out of jail free card’ and things improve. Exponentially.”
kashmiri, I understand what you are saying and know you would elaborate but I have to jump on and argue this. I have been handed many, many “get out of jail” free cards in life. I have stood on the ground and looked up at the sky time and time again and asked God exactly this:
“You’ve got to be kidding me? You mean I am going to get away with this?”
And apparently God approves because I do get away with the thing.
I have had it all, from judges who rule for me even though I am 100% wrong and say so in open court to enjoying spontaneous unexplainable healing after devastating injury. These things happen to me, I swear they do and as far as I am concerned it may very well be Saturn giving me the pass. What is a judge if not Saturn? It is as if the authority looks down on me and says you know what, Elsa? You don’t suck after all and this one is on me.
For the record, I also hand these cards out out all the time. Take my son. He is such a good kid. You think if he makes one mistake I am going to come down on him? I’m not. I am going to get him out of his trouble in the the most painless (for him) way possible and then shrug.
I think you can get beaten all your life and then run into someone who is just not going to be party to it under any circumstances and I think the people who spare you are the Capricorns I mentioned here -> Capricorn, Saturn and Compassion
Nice segue, huh?
If you do get them, to what do you attribute this too?

Capricorn, Saturn And Compassion
Astrology in real life
The soldier tells me not to worry all the time but I think he worries at least as much as I do. Pisces rising, he has Virgo on his seventh house so projects this energy but sometimes it’s owned…
“I wouldn’t worry about that,” I said. “Look. We are in impossible conditions, trying to have a life. I have been in impossible conditions myself, for 9 years. The conditions are completely impossible but I have still managed to have some kind of life.”

So Who Feels Compassion For The People No One Feels Compassion For? Scorpio!
Astrology in real life…
Who feels compassion for the people no one feels compassion for? In my experience, it is Scorpio, hands down. I have no idea how I would survive without Scorpio. I don’t think I’d manage. I have always been surrounded by people with copious amounts of Scorpio.
During the time I mentioned in the video, I was married to man with 5 planets in Scorpio. He had tremendous compassion for me. The AMF? Scorpio sun, part of a stellium in the sign, also tremendously compassionate. My friend, Ben? Scorpio Sun who sustained me single-handedly for 2 solid years.
My Scorpio rising daughter (Pluto conjunct) is tremendously compassionate, as is the soldier (Scorpio Moon Neptune) and my lifelong friend Leon (Scorpio Moon, part of stellium).
Remember Stevie? Supernaturally compassionate with her Moon, Venus, Neptune, rising in Scorpio.
HQ’s wife? She has a stellium in Scorpio and if you’re in her charge, she’s got your back like no one you can imagine.
Guess who came to Britney’s aid today? Scorpio, Julia Roberts!
Say what you will about Scorpio. When you live in the trenches the way I do you find out real fast who you can rely on. And they go to the dirty, icky, gross places no one else will even acknowledge exists and they will stay with your for the duration. I’ve had Scorpio process so much pain for me, it’s not even funny.
What about you? Do you agree?
Who feels compassion for the people no one feels compassion for?

Astrology And The Midheaven - How Do People See You In The World, Redux
Ask the collective
Saturn in Virgo is kicking up my natal Saturn (reality) Neptune problems, big time. On the way home from the gym today, talking to the soldier…
“Well I am going to try, try, try. I just have to do this stuff. I have got to get some of these things done, people have no idea.” I rattled off some details. “I look around and see this stuff and I just want to cry. I have got to put some of this stuff together so we can function around here. My kids. There is just no other option and I can’t believe no one can see the trouble I am in.”
“Well they’re judging your persona by those videos.”
I laughed. “That doesn’t matter. I can tell people what is going on in plain language and I can do it 100 times and they still can’t see it. They just cannot see it and you have the same problem you know. People can’t see you either. They have no idea how hard our lives are… what we go through.”
“No they don’t.”
“Yeah, we have that in common. I think this is why we get along. It’s because most people could stand to live even one day of either of our lives and they don’t know it but we know it about it each other. We have compassion for each other. But anyway, this is what I am going to do. I’m going to do same as you do when you have an impossible day. You focus and do not let up. I am going to do that today. I am going to just go non-stop and see how much of this I can knock out because if I do not manage… well things are just going to fail around here, that is all there is to it. It just can’t get any worse and I have no choice but to knock things back, or else.”
“Okay, P. Well you sound like you have some momentum…”
“Yep… see ya.”
We talked about this once before… it was one of the most commented blogs of all time:

Astrology, (Lack Of) Compassion And Exactly What Happens When You Project Your Shadow: Scorpio, Pluto and the 8th House
Commenting on the comments
Kashmiri writes on Watch As Teenager, Elizabeth Smart Owns Jerk, Nancy Grace
“Wow, that’s incredible. I didn’t realize that for some, having empathy for a victim of crime depended on how hard the victim tried to get away.”
kashmiri - I repeat this all time, Elvis Costello’s line, ‘It’s nobodies fault, but we need somebody to burn,” because I’ve never heard it said better. I would add that we (the collective) also need someone to judge. We need to be better than someone.
Take Elizabeth Smart. That commenter suggested a 6 year old could and did do better than her. Since we can assume the writer is at least 15, we can just imagine how wonderfully she would deal with being kidnapped from her bed in the middle of the night. She’d be a rock star, I guess. Compassion, Violence, Humour: Markers In The Natal Chart
Ask the collective
satori writes:
I’ve never understood violence and humiliation as humour. Today I watched a video on the nets where a woman was humiliated. Comments on the video were overwhelmingly of the flavour that while they’d be mad as hell if it happened to them they had laughed their asses off. I also don’t get the whole Three Stooges I-hit-him-in-the-head-with-a-hammer school of funny.
I think it speaks to a lack of compassion for others. I think it’s pretty pervasive in our society, and I’d bet there’s a marker for it in individual charts. Suppose there are markers for everything: isn’t that what reading a natal chart is all about? Markers, for compassion, lack of compassion, maybe markers for killing.
When you have non-compassion with a marker for killing, well maybe you get the potential for a puppy-torturing serial killer, a monster. You mix the marker for compassion with the one for killing and you get The Soldier. It’s not the killing that makes one a monster; it’s the lack of compassion. Good men can kill, and yet there are many monsters who never lift a hand in violence.
I read the comments of those without compassion and felt sickened. They didn’t directly hurt anyone but I don’t get the impression they would care if they did. I’ve met so many people who think they’re compassionate when clearly they are not. I guess it’s like how everyone thinks they have a great sense of humour…
Do you have compassion? Could you kill? What if there were a marker in your chart that contradicted your answer?

Neptune, Compassion and Imagination
Astrology in Real Life…
Dharmaruci, DR in my vernacular has asked several times about the soldier’s strong Neptunian signature. He wonders how it plays and here’s a sample of that.
As the back story, I used to sing him the Siamese Cat song from Lady In The Tramp when we were kids. Goes like this:
We are Siamese if you please
We are Siamese if you don’t please
We are from a residence of Siam
There is no finer cat than I am
That last line I would sing with great flourish even though I sing horribly and he’d roll off the bed wiping tears from laughing at me. I used to sing that song all the time. This is one of his strongest memories from that time so with that in mind, last night he calls me…
“Yeah, I was going to have some of that chicken you made for me, P. I was going to make a chicken sandwich but then this pregnant kitty came along and I thought, oh look. That could be, P.”
I laughed.
“Yeah. I thought, that could be P all right and she was hissing at me too. A pregnant cat hissing right at me and looking at my chicken,” he said. “She was eyein’ it. Staring right at my chicken and hissing right in my face. And I thought, is that you, P? Ahhh, that could P.”
“Cause I hiss at you?”
“Yeah, sometimes. Sometimes you hiss at me. But anyway, here’s this hissing kitty who is pregnant. And she’s eyeing my chicken and I know she wants me to give it to her. She wants my chicken for sure.”
I laughed.
‘So what the hell. I gave it to her. I just handed it right to her in case it was you, even thought I though I knew it was probably not you.”
“She take it?’
“Oh yeah. She took my chicken, she ate it and then she just hung out and hissed at me some more. Cute little kitty, too. She looked just like you.”
“I’m glad you fed her.”
“Of course I fed her. She was pregnant. She was a mama, P just like you.”

Scorpio Moon Conjunct Neptune - Redux
Just Blathering…
Regarding the Moon Neptune in Scorpio blog, Eme remarked:
“That’s awful. What would be an example of the good side of Moon/Neptune in Scorpio?”
Eme - There is no end to the upside of Moon in conjunction with Neptune in Scorpio. First, when that happened Neptune was in Aquarius, transiting square his conjunction in Scorpio. An also his Sun in Taurus! So you see, a wipe-out on all levels was virtually inevitable. He did not just lose his home, right? He lost his possessions as well (Taurus). But generally speaking, I would say his conjunction has served him well.
This is my ex, the man who survived nearly two decades as a Special Forces soldier. How often do you think that happens? And I would have to chock this up in large part to that conjunction. There is extreme emotional sensitivity. He can suss out just about anything and while I’m at it, one of my best friends, Stevie also has this conjunction and same thing with her.
These people are fairies. There is nowhere to hide. They have access to knowledge they don’t even know is extraordinary. Well they know, but only when the tide is in! Neptune. Other times they are supremely confused, only to have the tide come back in the nick of time.
And another thing I’ve noticed…well you’ve got Scorpio intensity of course, but there is tremendous empathy. There is no end to their ability to feel compassion and other people’s pain and if you are attuned to this kind of thing, you can feel it radiate from them.
And both of them are enormously giving emotionally. They will feel your pain for you (whether they want to or not). So there you go? Is this good? I think it’s good.
Scott’s sister was another friend of mine with Moon conjunct Neptune in Scorpio. She’s dead now, maybe you know. But she was also a supreme fairy. So incredibly powerful and so incredibly kind. She introduced Scott and I.
And then there’s Leon. He’s another life long friend of mine, with Moon Neptune in Scorpio. He helped me clean out Henry’s house when he died. And he kept showing up…he kept coming to my house, inviting me places and so forth in the months following Henry’s death, even though I could not stop crying to save my life.
His ex-wife from 20 years ago contacted him recently. Her current husband has died and she was in a crisis. He immediately offered his energy. He has supported her (emotionally) for a year now, expecting (and receiving) nothing in return. He does the same with his second ex-wife.
“She only calls me when she wants something,” he said. “And I just give it to her. I’d rather have her as a friend than an enemy,” he explained.
I nodded.
“I just can’t see…holding on to that bad stuff,” he said. “I just can’t do that…”
I didn’t say anything, but you know what I was thinking? I was thinking what a privilege it was to have such a compassionate loving man for a friend for so many years.
So there you go, Eme. I hope this serves.
