Now see, that is the kind of thing I would yell at the soldier and he would not know what in the world I was talking about. Seems perfectly obvious to me what I am saying but he would be standing there as he says, “like a hog looking at a wristwatch”. And it would progress like this:

I never finished writing about the big fight I had with the soldier and the truck wash and the gay man and the blonde but we were talking about it a couple days ago. Mercury (communication) in aspect to Saturn creates difficulties in this arena.

If you have this in your chart you may feel something is wrong with how you converse. The soldier has these planets in aspect along with Mars (that’s the fight part) but we also have Mars, Mercury and Saturn mashed up between our charts so this is always, always our number one challenge and actually the only one we face…

As I mentioned half the team (of women) I have been working with over these last months in regard to the anomaly has dropped off. It was a good half too, however the strongest player outside myself remains.

This gal is formidable. She happens to be an attorney but that has nothing to do with it. I have seen 6 or 7 attorneys do their gig since this thing began and they are all pretty normal except this one gal who is IN YOUR FACE.

She has a posture and while I would not characterize her as intimidating you definitely know that when you’re talking, she’s listening and her ability to listen is uncommon.

I don’t care how this sounds, I really need some advice and someone out there can help. As many of you know I have been going to these meetings for months. Each time I am surrounded by people who have authority over me. Generally speaking they are all younger than me and in most cases significantly so. 10 years, maybe even 15 years younger. They have authority because I gave them authority and have no regrets on this front.

Things have gone well in this difficult situation to date. Better than could be expected I would say. There have been a couple of confrontations but these gals (I am working with 80% women) on the whole are smart and equipped to do their jobs. Mostly I am relieved the job is theirs not mine and when there has been confrontation it has been productive. No one is holding a grudge. A grudge against me that is because I am the one speaking up in challenge.

Saturn in Virgo shows struggles to communicate, in this case a double whammy because I am old (Saturn) and was trying to communicate about health (Virgo).

“I have an appointment but I am not sure what it’s for,” I told the soldier. “I had a terrible time on the phone, I could not get the woman to understand me.”

“What do you mean?”

“Well for starters she told me I did not have to fast for the blood test.”

“Yes, you have to fast.”

Mercury (information) is in Pisces (faith) at the moment and the soldier and I were discussing how things get communicated. Turns out we both agree it is often in your best interest to not go out looking for information.

For example, I have all this court stuff going on right now. I have meetings being scheduled left and right. There are all kinds of people in all kinds of committees making all kinds of decisions that affect my life. If I tried to track them all I would do nothing but track them all but as is, I just rely on someone to call me when my number comes up. This is very hard to do. I think human nature wants to know what is going on and the faith method does have some risks. However I think the benefits outweigh them.

“I’ve noticed if you do nothing, you do tend to find things out in time generally speaking,” I said. “One way or the other. Sometimes you find out in a dream, or in your case you may get it via your antenna (his psychic ability). One way or the other what you need to know, you do seem to find out and in plenty of time.”

“I have always felt that way,” he said.

“Yeah, especially in times of stress the last thing you need is a bunch of minutiae. I have just seen this over and over, you do find out what you need to know and always in plenty of time. I imagine we have both been spared all kinds of things living this way…”

How do you handle the flow of information? Where is Mercury in your chart?

I have been tossing this around for a month or so… how I might write this blog without coming across as a total bitch. It may or may not be possible but I’ve decided to try. It is about “talking into a fan”.

Now it was my friend, satori who came up with that idea / the phrasing. I tell her a lot of what goes on, plus she’s read my blog(s) for years and she’s noticed how frequently people react (and often react badly) to things I never said.

The soldier suffers this as well. In fact he’s got the problem worse than I do and I would chock this up to Saturn on his Mercury. He just can’t see to get people to understand him. It is as if he talks and the words go right into a fan to be blown back at him completely misunderstood or deflected by the person rather than heard and internalized. And if you are a person who suffers like this pretty soon you don’t want to talk anymore and it sounds like this:

Yeah but I have those dimples. NO matter what I do I look like someone’s (energetic?) wife. It is a true freak out to people when they talk to me and find out not only do I know reeeeams of information but I will communicate in plain language what has been distilled over a lifetime… and then shrug.

I don’t mean to do this, I have no choice. I have to answer the questions and these are the answers to the questions and there is just no smoke about it. Mars Mercury in the 9th is going to relay information in a way that is direct and honest. “This is the knife and this is the knife going in.”

I broke out the calculator today and determined I am going through an ordeal less than 1/10 of 1% of the population will ever face. Consequently there is no advice. I simply have to operate on instinct, pretty much adapting like the Borg to whatever I encounter.

One thing I have found via the soldier is that what is learned way out at the rim of life is completely applicable to the every day so here are some tips for Saturn in Virgo around effective communication in intense situations or negotiations.

First as I mentioned before you want to be economical with your words. (Blathering Allowed, But Not Welcome) At the beginning of this fiasco I was blathering and storytelling and HQ helped me to reign myself in, going as far in the early stages to condense ramblings into a concise bulleted list… I got the point.
