We went back to the gym two days later with the same plan and no expectation of trouble. The soldier was going to work out with some weights and then swim. I still had reduced energy and we still were going to stay about an hour but had no set time. The soldier told me he’d stop by my cross trainer on his way to the pool so we’d have an idea who was where so we could finish up at roughly the same time same as prior. Once in the gym we took off in opposite direction and again we didn’t touch each other.

I don’t think the soldier and I would be mistaken as brother and sister but he could definitely be a cousin and if I were in the gym guessing, this would be my guess. I would assume he was some kind of visiting family simply because I have gone to this gym for 10 years and never ever with a man but anyway, the first problem was Coffee Date, remember him? I explored the idea of dating him after I broke up with the AMF. I was pretty distraught at the time and told him so but he said we could just go for coffee so we did.

My coffee date was going to the desert last week, for work. He was going to Sedona, specifically. There is an astrology conference there at the end of March, if you didn’t know. It’s called “The Blast”. But anyway, since I am from desert, he asked what he could expect.

“Sedona? Well I can’t tell you much. I’ve only been there once. I was on a blind date in a plane, if you can believe that. Yeah. Some guy took me on a blind date in a plane and we stopped there for lunch. We just landed, ate lunch and left to go fly around the Grand Canyon, which was cool. They don’t let you do that anymore. No more flying around in a plane in the Canyon!”

Uh oh. Got my coffee date too. He was talking to me in the gym. I was on the crosstrainer and I can’t remember what he said but I answered him…

“I’m surprised.”

“You are? That’s the second time you said that to me. I guess you can’t figure me out,” he said smugly.

“Yes I can. I can figure you out. I have figured you out,” I said, smiling haughtily.

“But you just said you were surprised.”

“Well I was. I just figured you out right now. Right now this minute. Less than a minute ago, actually. That’s when I figured you out… er, just a few seconds ago, when you said that.”

He chuckled. “You’re quick. That was a quick one.”

I shook my head as if I had no idea what he was talking about. “I don’t know what you mean, quick.” I was grinning like the Cheshire Cat that I am. “Say!” I said, knowing he was leaving town for the weekend. “I sure hope your trip goes well! Fun time for you!” I said, beaming.

He just stared.

“Me? Well I’ll just be right here working out,” I said, panting slightly. “And knowing whatever I know if there is anything I know But hey! Have a great trip. Wonderful.”

He shook his head, amused. “I’ll see you later…”

I nodded and watched him leave the gym knowing he knew I was watching him leave the gym. I was smiling so wide it should be illegal.

Conversation from my coffee date, except this time we’d met for dinner:

“So in that story, (Little Mike) I was trying to convey something,” I said. “Um… well when you hear on the news about a story like this. A man breaks into a woman’s house and gets in her bed. You have no idea what goes on in that bed. You just assume certain things. Really, I don’t think most people think about it at all. They don’t consider it because it’s something never told. Reading about something like this in the paper, people think, oh. That happened. And the next question is, did they catch the guy or not?”

He agreed.

“Right. Nothing else. What happens in the middle of that is very mysterious. The whole thing is secret. Whatever went on, or goes on during something like this.. no one reports it.”

“That’s true.”

“Yep. It’s just blotted out. And since this happened to me, I wanted to see if I could transfer my exact experience of that to the paper. I was going to try to write down the exact truth of what happened, without regard to politics… or anything at all. If people think I’m stupid… let them judge. It was a challenge at the time. I wanted to see if I could do this. And I did. So people can read that if they want to know about something that’s mysterious… well there it is. They can read it. One person’s experience anyway. Because I know that I like to know things that are mysterious. I mean, why not? I can’t think of anything better to do then know things I’m not supposed to know.”

And what is your Pluto / 8th house / Scorpio situation? Any ties to Mercury?

Regarding my coffee date, that first time we met, we discussed some of the regulars in the gym. I wouldn’t call it gossip, since neither of us are the type. It was more a sharing and comparing of our impressions of people which was really enjoyable to me because he’s observant but very different from me.

Like our writing. I write (true) stories and this blog. He writes lyrical poetry. He writes some other things but primarily he writes songs that record his emotions (Pisces Moon). I met my coffee date from the gym for dinner last night. He’s a poet and a songwriter and I had this idea we could meet for dinner, each bringing the other something to read.

I was telling my coffee date about the Asian women in the gym (18 - 80 years old) who have fascinated me for years. They travel in a pack, coming in early in the morning. They don’t workout that I know of. They just use the steam room.

Speaking of Libra (known for their manners), I was talking to a friend last night about a man she’s been seeing.

“He asked me why I didn’t come in (to his house) and I told him I wasn’t invited. If I’m dropping someone off, I don’t just walk into their house.”

“Me neither,” I said.

From my coffee date. He’s a Libra (polite) with a Pisces Moon (intuitive). His mother is a shrink. That’s his word, not mine.

“Yeah, I’ve been watching you for awhile. And one day I was standing with this other guy and you were walking… you were headed for the locker room and you were walking all straight, with your head up.” He straitened out his posture. I listened.

I just had coffee with someone from the gym who told me that the Salesman has been running telling everyone I was “his”. Can you believe that? I can. Jerk! And he got away with it too, because now he’s gone. The worm has left the building.

“I couldn’t figure it out,” my coffee friend said with a grin. He has a Libra Sun with Neptune conjunct and Pisces Moon and Mars, so of course he’d be confused. “I thought, hmm. If this is her man, I think she needs an upgrade.”
