saturn reality checkOkay, let’s change the subject! Did you know there is no such thing a (violent) crime of passion? Up until 1980 it was widely believed that people went crazy and committed violent acts. They were out of their mind and this thing happened. They killed someone or whatever. Many people still believe this and if I ever sit on a jury with one of them I will be able to disabuse them of this notion because I am familiar with the Lonnie Athens work.

dogs playing pokerOn the drive to New Mexico, I was thinking about Kate (Kate Mulvey Can’t Get A Date And It’s Because Of You!) and trying to fathom her and people like her. People who project their shadow onto others, that is. How do they get that way? Better yet, how do they stay that way?

1 Minute Astrology - Neptune And Projection: Hey Psst! Did You Hear The One Where I’m An Alcoholic?

February 4th, 2010 @ 10:13 am by Elsa

Neptune on the midheaven - God help me!

This is from January of 2008, part of my Saturn Pluto crush! As far as I know these people still believe me to be an alcoholic in denial. Fact is, I can smell a glass of wine and get tipsy. Such is the sensitivities of Neptune. I updated this in late 2009 (below). There has been no change since…

If you ever want to discredit someone…

Jupiter neclklaceSome years ago I was dating a lot of men. There was a huge stream of them but I was unable to connect, over and over and over and over and my friend, Ben and I were analyzing the situation.

If you’re a heterosexual woman it’s very good to talk to a gay man about men because nobody understands men better than homosexual man. This is just a fact. They know a zillion men, they are a man and they sleep with men. How are you going to top that?

Ask The Collective: The Worst Thing a Person Can Do To Me Is…

February 2nd, 2010 @ 4:19 pm by Elsa

Ask The Collective…

zodiac 2007I had a friend tell me recently that the worst thing someone could do to her was to make her care. I thought this was pretty profound. And it made sense to me. To care is to be vulnerable and caring is frequently exquisitely painful.

And though I understood this, and I was very impressed she could state this so plainly, I can’t say I feel the same way. Her view is accessible, but this is her “worst thing” not mine. And this made me realize the “worst thing a person can do” is not universal, but highly personal.

What is the worst thing a person can do to you? Can you connect the astrology?

gaslightOn being game-y, my friend said she got a lot of power from doing this. She had control. Judging by the comments it seems we may not all be talking about the same thing so let me clarify.

My friend would engage a man. She would be very attentive to him, leading him to believe she was really interested in knowing him and as soon as she had him hooked she would detach.

Astrology, Mars, Psychological Games and Manipulation In Relationship - POLL

Astrology in Real Life…

mars(From 2007) Last night I was talking to a pal who copped to being what she called “game-y” in relationships when she was younger. She described how she manipulated men by coming on strong and then backing off to keep their energy on her. She’d have them obsessing trying to figure out what she was up to and I was completely enthralled listening to her  because I am the polar opposite of this.

The Pisces

Pisces is a Neptune ruled sign associated with confusion and escapism, often through drug abuse, fantasy, and lapses of judgment, among other things. When a non-Pisces has a Neptune transit, they become Pisces-like and here’s a story. (swearing below the break)
