At 9:00 Saturday morning the talks kicked off with

Robert Blaschke: Soul Groups / Pre-natal Synodic Cycles
Renie Brooksieker: The Medicine Wheel in Your Chart
Gloria Star: Right Time, Right Place [topic was relocation charts]

I went to Robert’s talk. He discussed synodic cycles and what he calls “holographic aspects”. What this means is you look at, say, the (exact) angle between Sun and Mercury in your natal chart and whether Sun is ahead of Mercury or vice versa. So let’s say that’s 10 deg, 37 min, 19 sec., with Sun ahead of Mercury. Well, then, once a year Sun and Mercury will repeat that configuration; at the moment that they do, you can erect a chart for where you are, and that chart functions like a return chart. Its influence is good until the next time Sun is 10 deg, 37 min, 19 sec ahead of Mercury (which would be about a year). I’m just back home from the Midwest Astrology Conference at the Double Tree Hotel in Independence, Ohio, near Cleveland. If you didn’t get a chance to go, well, here’s a rundown on my experience. This was my first time attending an astrology conference, yea, first time meeting another astrologer in the flesh. (This is after 9 years of studying in isolation and only talking with other astrologers by email or telephone.) I had a great time. Another Person Having A Good Time! Astrology and Gambling…

Ask the Collective…

slot machineZ writes on the Today’s Astrology blog:

I didn’t realize things were so bad up there… I’ve been having a good few weeks, the first in ages too.

Z - I think some people thrive in inclement weather. I know I do. I went to an astrology meeting once, about 12 years ago, the topic was gambling. There was a gal presenting who had various theories about when a person should or should not gamble.

Well I haven’t gambled in a while but I used to gamble quite a bit and I was stoopid lucky. I once broke open 6 slot machines in one casino in the space of 2 hours. The mechanic would hear the bell and come running… “You, again?” It was embarrassing!

Anyway, I have won way more than my share, and back at the lecture the gal presenting asked the audience to chime in.

One gal, obviously psychically sensitive said that if you walked into a casino and the energy was bad, you should leave. Say what?

“That may be true for some, but for me… when I walk in a casino and I can feel how bad it is, well it just fires me up,” I said. “I become very determined to win. The thing is the energy in general. To me it doesn’t matter if it is good or bad, only that there is a lot of it, the more the better.”

People turned to stare as they always do at these things. I was so embarrassed.

A few minutes later they held the drawing for a door prize. I won and was mortified. For someone with such a big mouth, I sure hate attention! So anyway, finally the thing ended (thank God) and I got out of there as fast as I could. Have you ever seen a walking person, run? That’s me. :-D

Do you ever bolt like this?

Jupiter in Sagittarius - A Plane Story About Sedona, Arizona - Home of The Blast Astrology Conference

Astrology in Real Life

plane blind dateMy coffee date was going to the desert last week, for work. He was going to Sedona, specifically. There is an astrology conference there at the end of March, if you didn’t know. It’s called “The Blast”. But anyway, since I am from desert, he asked what he could expect.

“Sedona? Well I can’t tell you much. I’ve only been there once. I was on a blind date in a plane, if you can believe that. Yeah. Some guy took me on a blind date in a plane and we stopped there for lunch. We just landed, ate lunch and left to go fly around the Grand Canyon, which was cool. They don’t let you do that anymore. No more flying around in a plane in the Canyon!”

“You had a blind date in a plane?” Continue reading Jupiter in Sagittarius - A Plane Story About Sedona, Arizona - Home of The Blast Astrology Conference
