HCSQ - I would not contact my astro-twin (one exists) because I don’t want anything to do with me. I am far more interested in other people’s energy.

This is why I don’t understand couples very close in age, who hook up when they have so much in common. I’d be bored out of my mind.

Dear Woman,

It does not happen very often although I see people born within a week of each other fairly frequently and it is hard to say if it is a good match or not.

For me, it would be a terrible match because I want someone odd and unusual and would be bored to tears dating someone so similar to myself. However this tendency is shown my chart and another person may take a lot of comfort being paired with someone very much like themselves.

I would say that traditional astrology would be against the idea, the premise being there is little challenge or opportunity for growth but this really doesn’t hold up in reality because if you are a difficult challenging person and so is he… well then you’re going to have plenty of difficulty and challenge.

Based on all this, it would have to be judged on a case to case basis but really the only judgment that matters is yours.

Are you happy? That right there is the best barometer.

I was thinking about astro-twins on the crosstrainer today, I tend to meet more than my share of them.

My ex, the AMF is astro-twin to the guy in the Little Mike story who broke in my house, took off his clothes and got in bed with me.

I used to workout alongside the soldier’s astro-twin in the gym (Astro-Twins: The Soldier and The Salesman) and the my ex who is getting married today and our mutual friend who will be attending are also astro twins. Dear Twin,

I don’t think this problem is necessarily twin related. With Mars (anger, fighting) conjunct Pluto (intense) in your charts, both you and your sister have copious amounts of intense energy which will find expression one way or the other. And if you don’t find a healthy way to channel this energy, you are going to wind up ripping someone a new one… period.

Now I imagine it’s your sister (or in her case, you) who suffers the attacks simply because you are the person in proximity. And although this could exacerbated by the fact you are a mirror images of each other, I think this is irrelevant when it comes to the solution - which is this:

One or both of you will have to stop looking at the other and become aware of all the energy you have churning around in your gut all on your own. One has nothing to do with the other.

Once you understand this… that you have gobs of energy to manage and direct in ways that are healthy, you can start choosing to aim your gun somewhere other than at your sister’s head. And it really is this simple, but you must find some way to express this energy.

Mars wants to compete. Mars wants to fight and to be a hero. Pluto wants passion. Can you think of something to do with this energy, besides have passionate fights with your mirror image? Of course you can.

Go do something authentically heroic. As soon as you do… and as soon as you both learn how powerful you really are, you’ll be able to use your energy to empower each other - rather than the current scenario that is so destructive - and you will amazed at the awesome results.

I am willing to bet this story has a happy ending.

“Where’s your… where’s that guy?” he asked. “He’s not here today? He’s not chasing today?” He meant the Salesman.

“He’s gone, Denis. He. Is. Gone.”

He laughed. “Really?”

“Yeah, he’s actually gone. He moved back to the desert, starting today. We’re not going to see him anymore.”

Well I have another manifestation of Mars Saturn to report and I like doing this, by the way. Because like I said at the beginning of this thread, Mars Saturn has a terrifically bad reputation in astrology. So I think it’s good to throw all these various manifestations of this energy up here to illustrate two things.

First that when you have an aspect in your chart, it shows up everywhere, all the time. It pervades your life. And secondly, the list of ways a particular aspect or energy can play is endless so when you read somewhere that Mars Saturn is cruel… period; you can know this is ludicrous. It is one person’s observation based on their experience, or worse, it’s based on what they read somewhere else and are now repeating because they have no idea of their own.

So anyway, I’m going to tell a story about Mars Saturn, along with some other things and this is the beginning of it.

I mentioned that I got a better workout when the Salesman was in the vicinity. And the difference isn’t mild, it’s extreme. For example, I stay on the crosstrainer, 50% longer when he’s around as compared to when he’s not. Remember, the Mars in these charts aspects mine. So when they go, I go and vice versa. And Mars is competitive! So when the Salesman told me he stayed on the crosstrainer for 45 minutes, I immediately extended my workout from 30 minutes to 45 to compete! Think I am going to let some Salesman outlast me? Forget about it!

So maybe you can picture this. I’m on one machine, working out furiously, the Salesman alongside me doing same.

“What level you on?” he asked. “I’m on 14.”

“Level 20,” I said smugly, with a chuckle.

“Oh,” he said, as he tweaked up his workout just a little.

And back in the day I would leg wrestle the soldier. And he never could beat me. As a matter of fact, I’d throw him clean off the bed, onto the floor.

“And there I’d be on the floor. And I’d be thinking it had to be a fluke,” he said. “She didn’t just throw me onto the floor, I’d think as I was getting up off the floor. This can’t be! I’m going to have to try that again. We’re going to have to have another match and this time I’ll pay attention because there is no way she can beat me. Her legs aren’t stronger than mine.”

I laughed.

“And we’d do it again. And you’d throw me on the floor again! Bam! Onto the floor! Bam onto the floor. I’d go flying, too. You could literally flip me off the bed.”

I roared. I could vividly remember my heart pounding in my chest as he got back on the bed and got in position to have another go. And I was going to beat him, believe me. Or die trying! I’d be grinning ear to ear, too. Bring it on, you turkey!

“And it wasn’t like I was some kind of wimp. I have no idea how you did that. How did you do that? I don’t think we ever leg wrestled where I didn’t wind up on the floor. And I never admitted this to anyone. The last thing I want is people knowing that some girl could beat me, leg wrestling.” He laughed. “We finally quit doing that. I was tired of winding up on the floor, that’s why.”

Now these men have a T-square in their chart. Their N node is the point that completes the Grand Cross and their N node is conjunct my Mars Mercury conjunction.

So it would be impossible for me to do anything with that Mars Mercury (exercise, talk, write, screw, fight, etc.) without provoking an intense response in either one of them.

And it would be just as impossible for me to not be super, super energized by them, in a Mars Mercury sort of way. Nervous, jerky, hunting, calling, etc. And here’s how it played in real life:

When I met the soldier, I was 17. The apartments pictured are the exact scene of the crime. And I was walking along the ledge there on the 2nd floor heading to my apartment when I passed a neighbor’s place 3 doors down. Being as it was the desert and it was hot, the door was open and my neighbor called out to me… “Hey Elsa!”

A few minutes later I was sitting chatting with the soldier. He was courtly and I was swooning. I was ready to faint from love within a matter of minutes. I was just swirling and I went home about fifteen minutes later. You know. I walked a couple hundred feet or whatever and I got my roommate, a man, and told him to go get this guy for me. I was hyperventilating.

“Hurry!” I said. “Before he gets away!”

“He’ll be back.”

“No! Tonight!!! I want that guy! I want him!”

My roommate, a Scorpio, had the idea I could invite him to dinner and I agreed. “Okay! I’ll cook!” I said, biting my fingernails. “Just hurry, man. Don’t let that guy get away no matter what you do!”

He told me to stop biting my nails and headed down to the neighbor’s apartment to invite the soldier to come to dinner.

“Get the right one!” I yelled at his back.

“Which one?”

“The good looking one, who else? Criminy! The one with the dark hair. The good looking one with the dark hair sitting by the door! Him! Don’t get that other one. Don’t get any other one. Oh brother! Don’t get me the wrong man!” I was squealing.

“Okay!”

“Okay!”

“Get him!”

He waved me off with a big grin and I went inside out apartment and crossed my fingers as tight as I could and started praying.

A couple hours later, my roommate cleared out and the soldier came to dinner. I made spaghetti or something. We were getting along fine until I had some kind of power surge and wound up throwing him out of the apartment. Yes! I told him to get the hell out only to wake up in the morning with heartburn about it.

I ran down to the neighbor’s apartment.

“Er… are those soldiers coming back here?” I asked. I was in a panic.

“Yeah. They’re my friends.”

“When? When are they coming back? Whenever it is, I don’t think I can wait. Can you call them? Like now? Please? Tell them to tell that good looking one that I’m sorry. And I want him to call me…”

Later that day:

Brinnnnnnnnnng! Brinnnnnnnng!

I was sitting on the phone. I was waiting and I knew it was him when it rang. It’d better be or I was going to have to sneak on the base and knock on every door until I found him.

“Hello?” I said.

“I heard you’re sorry about last night,” he said. He sounded nice.

“Yeah.”

“And you wanted me to call?”

“Uh, yeah. Yeah, I am. I mean I do. Er… I did. I did want you to call. So hey. How are you?”

So that was that. A week later we were living together, thick as thieves. It’s now decades later and I get boxes. So considering this kind of bond, how could I possibly stand next to his astro-twin and not feel something, regardless of his character?

I don’t get it, frankly. When women write you letters about their obsessions with men who are unavailable, you read them the riot act. Then this guy is doing the same thing and you talk about how you understand because of the astrology. Who’s to say that these women who write to you are not similarly compelled by the astrology? And even if they and this salesman are compelled by the astrology, doesn’t there come a point when they all have to say, “You know what, it ain’t going to happen for whatever reason. This person is not available to me right now, let me move on”?

Marly, the women who write me are in pain. They have a complaint. This guy is not asking my advice, or even having a problem. In fact, he’s enjoying himself immensely and perhaps even having the time of his life.

As for his disrespecting my boundaries, I would say that cost him bad. Because the chemistry is there. And if he’d acted in a way that was respectful several months ago, we’d probably be dating right now. But he didn’t! So this is the turn the relationship has taken.

And he’s running his life and I’m running mine. And I don’t know what all he’s doing, but I am studying him. And I am trying to figure out God’s joke, to put this guy on a crosstrainer next to me in the first place, because this is what I do.

And what I don’t do is tell people how I feel they should run their life when my opinion has not been solicited!

So considering that, I think this situation is fine the way it is. And as a matter of fact, it benefits me because I get a better workout when he’s in the vicinity. His chart energizes my Mars, yes? It does. So I am exhilarated by his energy and channel this into my workout… and I am sure he does same. So this is something I was going to write about.

These two men have similar energy but it does not mean they use it in similar ways. The soldier respects boundaries without fail though he’s certainly capable of muscling his way into to anything, anytime, anywhere. And this is the whole point of this thread. To look at two people with like energy and note the similarities (and differences) of how they act (interact) with a control… that is, me!

And it just happens the interaction is very powerful, which is good. Because do we want something limp? Of course not! We’re trying to learn astrology here!

So these men have the same energy, but they are not the same people. They are not interchangeable! One of them is all about integrity and the other… not! But this is irrelevant to the fact I am energized by either of them while they find me compelling. And it is at this point, free will comes into the equation!
