Sun Square Mars: How About We Dig Up These Dead Guys So I Can Fight ‘Em?

Astrology in real life

cowardly lion fight you with my eyes closedThis is Claire-France Perez again. I always talk to her in as Mars-y voice as I please (ha ha, Mars in Libra says please) because I know she likes the energy. Or she acknowledges it or whatever is is she does. You do not have to think or talk PC with her which is of course a great relief to someone like me. She’s like a port in the storm.

“Well you know you’re looking for a fight when you get pissed off at your tea,” I said. “I drink this tea and it has these quotes on the teabag. I used to like this a dozen years ago but now I read what these old bastards have to say and I don’t agree!”

Broadcasting Your Self Esteem - Is This Rude?

Astrology in real life

auntie mamawyrdling writes:

“…women don’t tend to admit being “pretty good” in our culture.”

No they don’t. Even if the believe it they don’t state it as if it is impolite to have self-esteem. So here I am with Mars conjunct Mercury (loud) in the ninth house (broadcast) in Libra (Venus) and what am I do to? Yell out that I am desirable or pervert my energy?

If you think I should pervert my energy, should I dye my hair too? What else should I do to be more palatable? And why should I do this again?

I think my overt expression of self confidence inspires and allows others to feel good about themselves. If I can get away with feeling really, really good about myself, maybe you can get away with feeling sort of good about yourself and I think this is why Capricorn / Saturn types read here. “She’s got all kinds of audacity, I think I can stick my neck out a little bit further myself…”

Far as I am concerned, someone’s got to be Auntie Mame.

Were you taught to downplay your good qualities?

Astrology And Happiness: Is Feeling Good In The Genes?

Jamie Beatson writes:

“Psychologists at Edinburgh University found that inherited genes control up to half of the personality traits that keep us happy.

The group were able to identify evidence of common genes that result in certain personality traits, which in turn predispose people to happiness…”

Voice Of Mars Mercury In The 9th House - “I Have A Weapon”

Astrology in real life

knifeSaDiablo writes regarding discussion of the people at these meetings attacking me (last time):

“They should’ve picked an easier target, perhaps. *snicker* “

Yeah but I have those dimples. NO matter what I do I look like someone’s (energetic?) wife. It is a true freak out to people when they talk to me and find out not only do I know reeeeams of information but I will communicate in plain language what has been distilled over a lifetime… and then shrug.

I don’t mean to do this, I have no choice. I have to answer the questions and these are the answers to the questions and there is just no smoke about it. Mars Mercury in the 9th is going to relay information in a way that is direct and honest. “This is the knife and this is the knife going in.”

Astrology Describing A Person’s Hands

Astrology In Real Life…

my handDo you look at people’s hands? I always notice a person’s hands and when I do, it is always with this question in my mind:

“Would I like this person to touch me?”

Hands are Mercury ruled. I have Mars conjunct Mercury in the 9th house and my hands are large (9th house) and very energetic (Mars). They are almost constantly banged up (Mars) if not actually bleeding and if I put them on you, you’ll know it.

I feel a lot of energy pass through my hands and I like them, tremendously. I like to work with them. I like to put them on people, for sure. People I like or I love, that is. I don’t like to touch strangers at all! Yecch!

What are your hands like? Where is your Mercury?

Elsa P Goes To The First Catholic Mass Of Her Life

Astrology in real life

virgo carmeliOn the way to mass this morning…

The soldier’s Saturn (slow, guide, control, grown up) in aspect to my Mars Mercury (speeding cowboy) in the 9th (religion).

“Nervous,” I said.

“Don’t worry about it,” he said.

“Okay. But I would like to sit in the back, back, back,” I said.

“The back, back, back?”

“Yeah. So if I mess something up, no one will see me.”

“Well I like to sit in the middle, middle, middle.”

I glanced over and rolled my eyes. “Well I said I was going to have your experience your way, so middle, middle, middle it is. Did you ever see me drive this slow in your life?” I asked. “I think I am going below the speed limit.”

“No I’ve never seen you drive this slow and I appreciate it.”

“You like this?”

“I do.”

At that point, I gave up.

Things You Say When You’re Angry - Do They Count?

Ask the collective

mars and venus united by loveLast night someone told me what they said didn’t count because they said it when they were mad. I disagreed, feeling you are responsible for what you say, regardless of your mood and having Mars (impulsive, angry) conjunct Mercury (speech), I have learned this the hard way. Matter of fact, every regret I have… every single one is over something I said that I didn’t mean and always when I was hotted up and angry.

Having suffered profoundly over what came tumbling from my mouth when I was younger I have learned to make sure I say what I mean and mean what I say, sometimes less but never more. Having the conjunction in the 9th house… well I better believe (9th house) what I say (Mercury) or I am going down. And I have gotten really good at this.

Matter of fact, I have gotten so good at this, I have become a precision instrument people can’t believe it.

“You didn’t mean that, when you said it. You were just pissed.”

“No, I did mean it. I meant exactly what I said and I stand by it. Not only that, I will say it all again if it will help you be clear.”

Today I feel really proud of this and I have two questions. Do you mean what you say?

And secondly have you ever been so badly burned and bled so much courtesy a part of your personality you had no choice but to re-work it?

Astrology and an Adventurous Spirit: Jupiter, Sagittarius and the 9th House

Ask the Collective

jupiterI was talking to the soldier… we both have a strong Jupiter signature in our chart.

“I don’t think there are two people on the planet that could do what we’re doing right now,” he said.

“What’s that?”

“Getting together the way we do.”

“I don’t understand.”

“You don’t see how unusual this is?” he asked.

“No. No, I have no idea what you mean.”

“Well I don’t know how you could have no idea this is unusual.”

“Well I don’t know. We’re getting together. People do it all the time.”

“Not like this.”

“Oh God, what do you mean?

“P, we’re meeting up in all these cities. We’re a 1000… we’re 1500 miles apart and we meet up with an hour’s notice. And we do it over and over and over again. You don’t think that’s odd or remarkable?”

“No, that hasn’t occurred to me. Why is it odd? What are we doing? We’re meeting because we want to. We want to meet so we do. Why is it strange? It’s not strange as far that I can see.”

‘Well it is strange. No other two people would do this. They’d say this is too hard. It’s too much trouble.”

“Hmm. Well I’ll think about it but I’m telling you I don’t know what you mean.”

“People can’t do this,” he said. ‘They just don’t have our adventurous spirit, P.”

I laughed. “Oh that. Well yeah, I do like to go. Oh I see what you mean. You mean people want things to be delivered. Is that what you mean?”

“Yeah.”

“Oh, well I’m not like that. When I want something I go help myself. I hardly ever want anything but when I do I want it bad and I will definitely go wherever I have to go to get it. When you only want something every ten years or so, you can do this,” I said with a chortle. “In whatever case, it does seem normal to me. It’s just not queer at all but sitting down or lying around when you’re accessible would be very queer indeed. I’m going to roll every time.”

Mars Conjunct Mercury vs Virgo Mars… In The Car

Astrology in Real Life

virgo craftMy daughter has a Virgo Mars which is another Mars Mercury exchange. We were in the car on Friday, I was dropping my kids for the weekend before I left to meet the soldier.

“Yeah, it’s going to be another longish trip,” I said. ‘So you’ll be spared that.”

“Yeah,” she said before launching into a lecture about that crummy singer in the band she likes.

“Oh, him. Thanks for reminding me I’m going to spared listening to that guy all across the country. I should appreciate that.”

“And I’ll be spared you complaining about people who drive slow in the left lane.”

I turned and stared. “Okay, well I do, do that so touche’.”

I had impulse to launch into a preachy tirade about why this was justified but caught myself… barely.

Do you on and on?

Speaking of Giving: The Amazon Wish List and Mars Mercury in the 9th House

Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…

amazon comI started keeping an Amazon Wish List about six months ago. And I think the Amazon Wish List is one of the best ideas ever because it allows people to do nice things for other people. Did you know you can search a person’s name and pull up their wish list? I learned that from a Scorpio Mars.

So anyway, I don’t want much. I think I’m just a born ascetic because the things I value are almost all ethereal. It’s that or just the fact I grew up with nothing, which never bothered me and it still doesn’t. However, occasionally I want a book.
