Using Astrology To Identify A Person’s Psychological Blind Spots

November 15th, 2009 @ 8:53 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

There are parts of the personality which a person will tend to ignore, project or simply be unaware of. Planets in the 12th house give reliable information as do planets in the 7th.

Planets touched by Neptune or placed in Libra give clues.

Anyone else got ideas about this?

cancer sunAfter  thinking about the people I know and how I tap them for opinions I started to wonder what roll(s) I might play for others. I have a feeling if I asked I would be surprised. Because when I told my inner circle,  “I call you for blah blah blah”, they were completely surprised at how I see them.

Scott had no idea I see him as the ultimate compassionate person. He’s not going to write anyone off, ever! “There’s always hope, Elsie.” This is what he says all the time about everyone, every time so when I get in a situation where something falls off the page of everyone I know, I can call Scott and voila! There is still hope!

neptune-steeds-walter-crane.jpgLynn writes regarding my idea that all problems are resolved through the 12th house:

“I know from personal experience that when I pass to the 12th house without the full gut- wrenching turn of the wheel I know that someone or something will remind me that I may have thrown away the key to that karmic chapter in my life but the window is still open!

How do you know when it’s over? That it’s due for the 12th house or whether it’s one more go round the block?”

Lynn - Hi (I think you are new) and thanks for this. That’s a great question but the part about the window still being open is something that occurred to me that I had left out.

For example the fact you accept a relationship is gone does not mean it does not, will not, cannot come back into being!  There (probably) really is no end.  The relationship may come back in this life or in the next or the next after that.  The possibilities are endless and this is the 12th house defined. Faith! Don’t worry, the universe has your back!

”How do you know when it’s over?”

In my case, I find out something is over when it comes to me on the wind. That’s what I call things that just flow in. I have no idea where it comes from but in my case the release is never gut-wrenching because I am in the 11th house before I hit the 12th. I am detached, that is. In preparation.

Can anyone add to this?

Jealous And Suspicious Girlfriend: Astrology-Based Advice

March 17th, 2008 @ 3:30 am by Elsa

Dear Elsa,

I have only been in love once. I fell in love at the moment that they first spoke to me. I literally forgot what my name was and was unable to find it on the paper I was to sign.

As time went on, I could do nothing right in her eyes. She has a Pisces Moon and everything I did or said she took the wrong way. I literally smiled at her once and she was even suspicious of that. If I was talking to someone then I must be speaking badly of her. If I was laughing, then I was surely laughing at her. Is there something in my chart that points to me causing someone with a Pisces Moon to be either afraid or angered by me?

I would like to heal this and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Virgo Moon
United States

virgo erteDear Moon,

I don’t think the problem is in your chart, it is in hers. You are dealing with someone who is significantly paranoid which is not the fault of the Moon in Pisces. I don’t know what this woman’s problem is but the fact you are feeling the problem is caused by you reflects your own problem and the proclivity to this is very apparent in your chart.

With your Sun in the twelfth house, part of a stellium there it’s a challenge to know where you start and others begin. Virgo Moon is often very self-critical and the fact yours is opposed by Saturn does not help. I would guess this girl has her Pisces Moon on top Saturn in your chart and this leaves you feeling you must be making some kind of error but I am pretty sure (we’ll see by the comments) that it is clear (to others) that this girl has a problem that is completely independent of you.

I am sorry this is probably not much help as it does sound as if you love this girl very much but if she is not willing to discover what is driving her intensely jealous and paranoid feelings then I am afraid you are simply going to be up a creek.

Good luck.

She Wants To Go To Jail To Kick Her Addiction! Gotta Be A Pisces!

August 7th, 2007 @ 9:37 am by Elsa

Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…

jodi perkinsMeet Jodie Perkins. She wants to go to jail to kick her cigarette addiction. How Neptune is that? She’s got to be a Pisces or a 12th house Sun.

Funny thing, I did the same thing. Hearing of a 30 day inpatient program for smokers (back when I smoked) I called my insurance and begged them to pay to lock me up for 30 days…

Jail Me So I Can Quit Smoking, Says Iowa Woman

‘I Would Do Anything in the World to Quit,’ She Tells ABC News

CHRIS FRANCESCANI writes:

“An Iowa woman who smokes two packs of cigarettes a day became so frustrated with her addiction that she called the sheriff’s department last week and asked officers to jail her for several days - just to help her kick the nasty habit…

Unfortunately, the jail won’t take her. Read the rest here: abc news

Cancer Woman Frustrated In Long Distance Relationship: 7th House Aquarius Moon

July 17th, 2007 @ 3:41 am by Elsa

Dear Elsa,

I am young woman who’s started a relationship with a guy who lives thousands of miles away.

At first we agreed to “just try it and see how it works,” but it is becoming increasingly frustrating. Both of us desire to have a future together but I am confused about what to do about the present situation. He is an Aries and I’m a Cancer, and people often tell me such a union is destined for failure.

Please help!

Double Cancer
Nigeria

cancer jewelry astrology zodiac 2008Dear Cancer,

Aries and Cancer is a tough match, though I would not say it is, “doomed to failure”. What is doomed to fail is any relationship where the people involved live thousands of miles apart! In fact, I would say there is no actual relationship until and unless the two people spend time together in person. I mean, it’s fine to meet online but then what? Who is going to move?

If no one is going to move and put the thing together, then how is it going to come together? It’s not. And how likely are you to move when you are already feeling frustrated? You’re not likely at all.

I think this relationship has served you because with a 7th house Moon, you want to be partnered. But with your Moon in Aquarius, you don’t want to be too close!

You also have a stellium in Cancer in the 12th house and the relationship allows you to live in a state of ‘divine discontent” - but will anything ever come of it? I would say no. I imagine one day it will disappear like a cloud and I’d apologize for that but I am not at all sure this would be bad news.

Good luck.

Marriage Is In A Rut, She Feels Trapped: Virgo Sun, Libra Rising

January 18th, 2007 @ 3:44 am by Elsa

Dear Elsa,

I got married about 8 months ago, and instantly we fell into a domestication that makes me feel trapped and angry. I am unaware of how to change the problem. I imagine myself expressing these concerns to my husband and asking for more of an open like relationship where we decide what we want it to be, versus just going along with tradition. But I can’t seem to do it.

Now I recently met a woman who I have strong feelings for. I don’t think I swing one way or another, I am just always attracted to experiences that feel karmic in nature or those which offer growth. I don’t know what to do. My husband is a wonderful man, but I think I didn’t realize how traditional he is.

Can you tell me if I am a commitment-phobe? Or do you have any advice??

Feeling Trapped
United States

virgo razza horoscope zodiac jewelryDear Trapped,

I don’t think you’re a commitment-phobe as I understand the term. I think what you have is “buyer’s remorse“. And further, I think it has little to do with your husband.

I say this because the way you describe your feelings fits your chart, which tells me you are going to feel this way anywhere you go. You have significant Libra in your chart so you are going to want to be partnered. But you’ve got a second stellium in Virgo, an unmarried woman - and there is the disconnect.

As for the trapped feeling, it’s not uncommon for a person with their Sun (and more) in the 12th house to feel as if they are in prison. So based on this, I would say your circumstance and your lousy feelings about them are going to be hard-wired until and unless you really work to explore other options.

In other words, let’s say you leave your husband for this woman. You could easily do that. You have Aquarius who likes to experiment. But the relationship will either fail, leaving you disillusioned (12th house) or alternately it will not fail and you will hook up with her. But if you do that, odds are you’ll be writing me in another 8 months to say you’re trapped again (12th house), but this time with a woman.

Now if leave your husband, and the relationship with the woman fails, then your Libra will kick back in and you’ll be out looking for another partner… and you get the idea.

Your discontent is internal. If you want to feel better you are going to have to evolve, rather than just keep plugging new people into the same slot, hoping for a new result.

Good luck.

Her Husband Lies: Stellium in the 12th House, Moon Neptune Conjunct in Sagittarius

December 24th, 2006 @ 3:44 am by Elsa

Dear Elsa,

My husband has been lying to me A LOT. I’ve just realized that he’s a compulsive liar and I really don’t know what to do. We’ve been married for three years and I first caught him lying a couple of years ago - about smoking cigarettes - and then a few other times here and there (about lending people money, where he was, etc.)

Then last week I found cigarettes, weed AND A BAG OF COCAINE in his jacket (which I was looking in to find my health card which he had been carrying … it’s a Canadian thing) Anyway, the cocaine wasn’t his, which I actually believe because he has an UNCANNY KNACK for finding things on the ground and it DID look like it had been run over by a car. But the cigarettes and weed are really not okay with me, and way less okay is THE LYING!

So once I busted him, he confessed everything which was very good for both of us, but I really don’t know where to go from here. My parents and ex-boyfriend have left me with very little tolerance for people with addictions and my own morals give me pretty much ZERO tolerance for lies. I am worried that if I trust him again too soon he won’t understand that his behavior is unacceptable to me; on the other hand sleeping in separate beds for this long can’t be good for us I want to trust him again but I don’t know how. I really, really really don’t know what to do!

Married To A Liar

sagittarius horoscope 2007Dear Married,

I understand you don’t want to be married to a liar and an addict, however you are. And I understand you want to trust your husband, however, you can’t. And though I understand why you don’t want to sleep with him, this strategy will be completely ineffectual in changing his behavior.

Your chart shows a person who is very optimistic… someone who wants to “believe”. And obviously this is what is getting you in trouble. Because, take that cocaine. People who don’t use cocaine don’t pick up bags of the stuff from the gutter and put in their pocket and take it home! Think about it. There is a half-used pack of cigarettes on the sidewalk and I don’t smoke. What are the chances I am going to pick them up and bring them into my house?? There is no chance at all. I am going to think they look like disgusting trash.

So fact is, you are married to a person who is just like your parents and your ex-boyfriend. Sorry! And since you have had exposure and experience with this kind of thing, perhaps you know how infrequently people like this clean up their act. And you know it’s something only they can solve and the best thing you can do for them is get out of their way. Let them hit bottom, that is.

Now if you don’t know this, you should educate yourself, the sooner the better. Because obviously hooking up with impaired people is your pattern and your pathology. So that’s what I would do. Head for the nearest Al-Anon meeting (the principles are effective for all addictions) or to a therapist’s office and start to work on yourself. Because all the work you do on him will be for naught.

Good luck.
