Astrology Bloggers - The New Astro News… An Update
Outtakes and various other sundries
A redesign is underway. I know a lot of people don’t like the look but I am very excited about what is going on behind the scenes - I think you’ll like it and we do have the thing is cookin’ gas on other levels. What I like best is the frequent updates (big surprise) and I am working hard to maintain diversity around what gets posted and when we get everything together I will have more tools to this end.
Meantime, check show the content is shaping up (the rest is due to change) and don’t forget you can access the entire days headlines via the links on the right.
As always, thanks to all who support and contribute.

Clear Thoughts, Happy Feelings: Mercury’s Trek Through Libra by Art Ofner
Outtakes and various other sundries
There is a perfect storm (gift) that will form in Libra in September. Venus, Mars and Mercury will hook up in the sign in September and having Mars Mercury conjunct in Libra natally, I am very focused on this.
I am going to be writing about it no doubt but for now, here is an introduction - Read Art Ofner with a sign by sign treatment of the upcoming Mercury transit through Libra…
Ofner writes:
“Mercury, the thinker and communicator of the zodiac, enters Libra, the sign of human relationships and togetherness, on August 28, where it remains until November 4, 2008. It is in retrograde motion from September 24 to October 15.
With Mercury in Libra, you’ll receive social invitations and experience unexpected meetings where you’ll encounter new people and enjoy pleasant conversations…”

Quick Note On The Astro News - Seeing The Earlier Posts….
Outakes and various other sundries
I have had a few people write me asking how to see the earlier posts on the Astro News.
There is a lot of content and it spins by pretty quick. You can actually do this very easily by clicking the dates on the box on the right under “Astro News Archives”. When you do that it will load all the posts for that day.
We realize this is bad design / not what people want or are used to so we will be looking to improve this as soon as possible but it does work.
I should warn you not to click yesterday because we updated a bunch of feeds and flooded the page. We are still tinkering and I am having to manually add some of the blog posts. This will be automated as soon as we can get the bug out. Other than that, I hope you are enjoying the variety of content because that is what I like the best. I like amusing you all — there is no use denying this.

Scott Leather Writes: On The “IT” in “ART”
Outakes and Various Other Sundries…
Scott writes:
A common dilemma facing all artists is how much effort do you put in regarding the details at the expense of the underlying communication of the work? Or, in other words, one can get so caught up in perfecting every detail that one loses sight of the original intention and energy of the
work.
In my field of classical piano playing, this is a very common malady. There are literally scores of competent musicians out there that can do a respectable job of performing what are frightfully long and complicated works. Performing these things requires extended study for most of us, difficult memorization and intense practice and concentration to perfect.

What to Expect Astrologically Under Pluto in Capricorn by Isabelle Ghanesh For Llewellyn
Outtakes and Various other sundries…
A sign by sign treatment of the effects of Pluto’s transit through Capricorn by sign:
Isabelle Ghaneh writes
“You always know when Pluto decides to stop by for a visit, since there is no mistaking his calling card; this applies whether he is considered by astronomers to be an official planet or a mere dwarf….”
And here is a sample:
“Pluto in the First House: The way you feel about yourself, and the image you project to the outer world will change radically. Your need to be in control of yourself and of your environment will also change, and you may find that your lifestyle alters considerably under this transit.”

Calling All Astrology Bloggers: Update On The New Astro News
Outtakes and Various other sundries
Great news (especially for me) on the new Astro News. We found a way to get all the feeds to work which is a great relief because I have been trying to keep up adding them manually like some kind of crazed gerbil. I am loading the feeds now and should have everyone in there by tomorrow so if you are posting and now having your headline show up near the end of the week, please email and let me know.
Now many of you know the Top 10 Astrology News came back up unexpectedly, the same way it went down. I am greatly relieved because it represents and ungodly amount of work over the last 2 years. So it is going to be there (as far as I know) but will be morphing into a collection of astrology blog headlines where the Astro News will be what Top 10 was… a very robust and often updated source of astrology-themed content from all over the web courtesy this gerbil, Elsa P.
