The soldier is going to a sword fight today. This is with a group of men interested in the Viking era and while he is not sure what to expect, he figures he may wind up fighting with a sword even though he’s never fought with a sword in his life so has no skills. nIn whatever case, he expects to get his ass kicked.

I was invited but took a pass and I am not interested in men type stuff unless there is taboo involved plus I’ve no desire to see him get his ass kicked although I will deal with the aftermath same as I did back when he used to fight with Speedy back in the day because he would come home with all sorts of bruises and black eyes.

He has been teasing me without mercy about this and I saw his T-square come alive last night. Mars (cutting) Mercury (hands) Saturn (old age). (swearing below the break)

Y’all know how much I love to talk about the Hall Of Mirrors and the Pisces, Neptune saint / sinner phenomena is related and just as interesting. Yesterday I did the video about how I would defend myself and my family using violence. Typically this kind of aggressiveness is frowned upon, particularly if it’s a woman. I wrote about this in the comments.

When I took that self defense class, stories were told of women who fended off rapists in real life. Maybe they talked their way out or in one case there was a local woman who used one of the techniques taught in the class. She got the guy off her when he was already on top her, raping her and you might note that this meant she was clearly acting in self defense.

Now those women were held up as heroes but what about the woman (me) who sees the man in her bedroom, knows he intends to harm her and shoots him in the head before he can act? I guess she’s a cold-hearted bitch. I guess she is hard core, she’s probably crazy and this makes no sense.

I got 3 (THREE!) enormously supportive emails today and if you’re a regular here, you know this is unheard of. “Hate Mail” is my middle name and I was so struck by this I had to look at my transits. Because all three of the mail were utterly received if you know what I mean. I internalized them which is something I generally avoid which anyone sensible would do given the usual tone of my mail!! I wrote one man back to say his words were “soothing” if that gives you idea.

In whatever case, it turns out Venus is conjunct my Natal Neptune on the midheaven so that explains that. Today I am a saint not a sinner and I have to say I am overwhelmingly grateful. I don’t think any of the people who wrote me knew it but they in fact fed the starving - Thank you.

The Moon and Venus in Scorpio… the soldier has a Scorpio Moon.

“They saw I was in Special Forces and of course they wanted to know about it.”

“What did you tell them?”

“It was all right.”

I laughed. “What else?”

“They said it looks like you’ve had an interesting life.”

“What did you say to that?”

“It was all right.”

With Venus and the Moon in Scorpio there is a definite undercurrent out there but don’t expect anyone to talk about it. What people are talking about is the Saturn / Uranus opposition. People are taking a position on the various issues and arguing them, except for Libra which is taking whatever side is under represented in the moment.

This seems angsty but there is a way to stay amused in this climate and the soldier has this down to a fine art. For example, Rhino In The City was back in the steam room at the gym again and all the geezers in there were talking about how they are going to stand in line for a bag of potatoes. The soldier stood up:

“Bag of potatoes? Bag of potatoes? I don’t want a bag of potatoes, I want a spaghetti dinner! Why can’t I have some spaghetti, hmm? You bastards can have your potatoes but I want spaghetti or else! I mean it. If I don’t get spaghetti all hell is going to break loose..”

Speaking of hair, here’s an old story…

I was dating a guy once, a Sagittarius with a Scorpio Moon. He was a very good example of both Sadge and Scorpio. He was well traveled and he read everything, particularly psych and self help up to and including Dr. Laura which pretty much floored me.

A Dr. Laura book in someone’s bedroom might normally indicate a conservative bent but in his case it was expansive. You don’t have to agree with someone. It can just be interesting to read their views. That right there is textbook Jupiter. With a packed 8th house, I have spent my life attracting and repelling people and then today I saw something *I* thought was repulsive. It was a bumper sticker and it said this:

“Some Days I Hate Being Me
But Then I Smile Because I Am Not You”

Now what does that say? I suck but you’re even worse? Could you be anymore negative? How would you like to talk to the woman in that car? How would you like to sleeeeeeeeep with her? I am telling you, I had to avert my eyes.

What do YOU find repulsive?

Well really I have had a life time of hair complaints. Dating a Leo and decide to cut your hair? He will probably leave you!

Scott went berserk when I sent him a picture of me with “boy hair” after 13 years. Accused me of deliberately sending him the most un-sexy picture I could (rather than the real fact that it was current).

The soldier also bitches non-stop because my hair used to be straight when I was young so I have to hear this all the time, “P, P. Why did you have to go stick your finger in a light socket?”

And then there was the AMF.. he called the sticking up pieces, “tweakers”.

I don’t know how to tell all you people I don’t look in the mirror. I am just not going to spend my time doing that so it’s very simple:

I either look good or I don’t and if I don’t, that’s your problem because I don’t have to look at me!

Now you can see why I consider myself only moderately vain. I have a time limit on hair fixing and this is it: 14 seconds.

I figure you should be able to use your imagination to figure out what I look like and if you can’t manage well… —- off!

My parents are Aquarian, this should be all you need to know.
