Saturn Transit the 9th House: Learning Anything?

Commenting on the comments

jupiter necklaceshell asks on the Decoy Catholic blog:

“Do you find that many people go through a tough life-altering experience during a Saturn transit in the 9th house? I was just wondering because it seems many people turn to religion most especially when things like death, divorce, sickness, etc. happen? Or is it a natural transition from the 8th house to the 9th?”

Well, with Saturn transiting the 9th house you have to get serious and learn something I would say. Something that enhances your perspective. It could be religion but it could also be go back to school in general or study Vedic astrology or whatever else you can think of.

Whatever it is to be in my case, I am sure it will be made abundantly clear to me and also that it will be in my best interest seeing as Saturn is my ruling planet. Which is a theory of my sister’s by the way… I’ll turn that into another blog.

Anyone have Saturn transiting their 9th house? If so, are you studying anything?

Astrology That Scares The Hell Out Of People - Pluto Transit The 12th House And The Syphilis I Am Doomed To Suffer

Astrology in real life

taj.jpgSome months ago, realizing Pluto was about to enter my 12th house, I googled “Pluto transit through the 12th house”and found all this stuff about horrible diseases I was going to die from.  It prompted me to post this blog: Astrology That Scares The Hell Out Of People

I don’t really believe in astrology that scares the hell out of people so I committed at that time to chronicle my experiences during this transit so when people googled it in the future they would have some alternative material and while I haven’t updated since (Pluto is slow) I am surfacing today to let you all know I have not contracted leprosy however I did have a brush with syphilis.  ::smiles::

The Sobbing Decoy Catholic - Difficult For Everyone Involved

decoy-424.jpgThe decoy Catholic (me) attended Mass again today and cried throughout. I am talking snot-problem level crying.  ::rolls eyes::

I also fought with the soldier about it; we have a very rocky road here that neither of us can get off though we both threaten.

“If we get off, we’re just going to have to get right back on,” I said.

‘Well I know that!  But at least we could have a break - go a couple Sundays without a fight,’ he said.

“You have to do this because of God,’ I said.  “I think you do.”

“Well yeah. I had to do Special Forces because of God too; it doesn’t mean I have to like it.”

Exhausted from 3 hours on intense emoting, I waved my hand to dismiss and we both smiled.

I don’t dare break it to him but Saturn won’t be in my 9th house (religion) for 2 years.

Pluto Transit To The Moon - Mine: A Breakthrough

Astrology in real life

perspective.jpgLast night at dinner I was talking to the soldier…

“Today I had a moment of total peace about Mosta (my daughter),”  I said. “I just felt completely okay about everything, every shred of it. I don’t know how I got there but I did and I could barely believe it. I realize it probably won’t last.”

“Yeah, P?”

“Yeah but the place exists.  There is a way of seeing this and feeling about it that allows me to feel okay and live comfortably regardless… regardless of whatever.  I am talking complete acceptance and comfort with the situation.”

He didn’t say anything so I reached across the table and tapped his forearm. “I touched it just like that,” I said. “And I figure if I could touch  it and be there today… I felt good all day long, then it means this place exists.  And if I get thrown off, I should be able to find my way back eventually and maybe live there full time?  Most of the time?  In whatever case, before today I did not know such a place existed so this was a really important day.”

“That’s good.”

“Yeah, what you said and what some people say about the reasons things like this happen to some people and not others is very true. You have to have some capacity and I do have it because I found this out today. I figured it and most strangely I could even see a benefit to everyone involved. Everyone. Me, you, her… the people who read my blog… everyone.  So that’s my report.  Port. I have found a port. It’s a place I can stand and have no problems even in this situation and I think it’s pretty much a miracle don’t you?”

Do you have a port in the storm?

Jupiter Types - Just Not Prone To Complaining

Astrology in real life

jupiterToday I told a pal the soldier was taking me to dinner because I was his his girl, since  that is what he told me.  As it turns out he had Mother’s Day on his mind as well and we wound up going out for Greek.

The waitress was an obvious Aquarian so I complimented her hair (Venus in Leo amusing herself).  She offered us a sample of some wine she was pushing, we tried it and liked and ordered a bottle.

Back with a new bottle she opened it and allowed us an opportunity to okay it.

The soldier looked at her like, “pour the son of a bitch already.” :)

“Should I just pour?” she asked, picking up the cue.

“Yeah,” I said. “We have a very hard time being unhappy,” I explained.

“Yes, we just tested it didn’t we?”  she said dispensing with the formality and filling our glasses.

A few minutes later it hit me how fortunate we are to be this way.  Hit us with your best shot.  It is only going to go so far and it’s far at all.

Is it hard for you to be unhappy? Where is Jupiter in your chart?

Alternately if it is difficult for you to be happy, is there anyway you might work to reinforce your Jupiter function (Jupiter in Capricorn)

Taurus Lament

Astrology in real life

pig.jpg“I’m just cursed is all,” the soldier said.  “I eat like a bird, I gain weight like a pig.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah, and if I eat a hog, I gain weight like a double pig.”

I felt sorry for him, how about you?

Transits In Astrology: How They Work In Theory (And In Reality) - An Introduction

Astrology in real life

zodiac-transits.JPGIn theory (and in reality) when a planet in the sky transits in aspect to one of your natal planets there are various events.

In theory (and in reality) when that same planet transits the same natal planet there are more events that relate to the prior events.

For example, around 7 years old every experiences a Saturn transit to their natal Saturn. Generally this occurs when a kid starts school which is a pure Saturnian experience. They go public (Saturn) and are forced to grow up. No more mommy at school, see?

Now at 14, Saturn opposes a person’s Satturn, generally as they are entering high school and it is not hard to see how these two periods are related.

Rules Of Astrology - For Libra And Jupiter Types…

Astrology in real life

bike-path.jpgYesterday the weather was nice and I wanted to get out and do something. I had appointments in the afternoon so we were somewhat limited but I told the soldier I wanted to get out and around the way we did when we were kids. He was always able to take me somewhere interesting (or vice versa) so next thing you know we are on the bikes. Bicycles that is and we took off to the park on the trail.

We spun around the park for awhile and then he asked me to make a u-turn on the path.  I turned and went back to a trail he’d seen jutting off the bike path. It looked like something kids might walk on but in whatever case we turned off onto this thing on our bikes and it did not take long for the path to become treacherous.

Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra With Mars Involved: Oppression

Astrology in real life

special forces patch insigniaI was lying on the bed last night wearing a gauzy skirt with a wide (about 5″) band of elastic across my lower stomach. The skirt is meant to be worn high, low whatever and, “See this?” I asked the soldier, patting my stomach through the elastic band.  “I have a little bit of cramps from my period.”

He smiled.

“Yeah and this band of elastic, it feels crushing.” The elastic is actually comfortably body hugging but it did seem this way at the time.  “This skirt is pushing down right on the place that is uncomfortable.  Come to think of it, I am oppressed by this skirt,” I said with a chuckle.  “Hey!  That means you have to help me.  Aren’t you Special Forces guys supposed to liberate the oppressed?”

“Well yeah,” he said.

I roared.  “Well then I guess you’ve no choice but to get this skirt off me - You swore an oath.”

He stared.

“It’s a pretty good line; I am surprised I never thought of it before. Anyone ever tell you that before?  Hey soldier! I am oppressed by my jeans, can you help me?”

“No.”

“Well my God, I am clever.”

Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra (With Mars Involved): Sucker Punch

Astrology in real life

mercury-the-trickster.jpgThis morning I asked the soldier, “Was I a pain yesterday? Was I? Did I cause a lot of trouble, or was I nasty or hard to be around?  Was I?  Let me put it this way,” I said before he could answer.  “Yesterday, was I a B-I-T-C-H?”  I asked with the biggest grin in 18 states.  I was in his face too. He was sitting on the couch and I was leaning over him, face in close for this quiz.

‘Well, no.  You weren’t a bitch. We had a great day yesterday. We had all kinds of fun,” he said.

“Yeah, that’s what I thought. And guess what? Today I got my period so that means no PMS excuses for you.  When I get pissed off I don’t want you blaming PMS because as it turns out, I don’t have PMS, huh?  I have this pimple right here and that’s it,” I said, cheekily pointing to the pimple on my cheek. “So how about that?”

He smiled his appreciation, that’s all. Meanwhile Vidroid stood by, taking notes.
