Astrology And Valentines Day! Oh Boy, CANDY! by satori

“Only one man in a thousand is a leader of men; the other 999 follow women.”
–Groucho Marx

Valentine’s Day is the second solar return of the meeting chart with my sweetie so I’ve been scrutinizing it, of course. I’m trying to figure out whether I’m going to get lots of candy or have a piano fall on me from a great height. Those are usually the two options I experience.

The chart of the day looks pretty decent, really, could be worse (RUN, RUN, IT’S A BEAR!). In fact I find it’s fairly instructive for a chart, seeing as I’m the one looking at it and it doesn’t have illustrations and safety handrails. One thing that stands out to me: two yods. Okay, two things stand out to me.

A yod is a configuration consisting of two planets sextiling each other, both of which are quincunxing a third. The short story on this is their focus on the third planet, pointing to it, “hey there… YOU… pay attention to this planet!” and they are exerting their energy upon it.

Two points in the holiday chart are singled out in this way: Saturn and Mars pointing at Venus, standing next to the Chiron Neptune conjunction (now complete with all New Moon/Sun energy); and Pluto and Venus focusing on Mars, which happens to be retrograde. Also pointing at Mars is Mercury at opposition, like Cupid’s arrow in a yod bow. Overcome your inertia, transcend your fear and painful conditioning and ACT. Send a card, make a phone call, even if it doesn’t turn out the way you hope it will this energy is potent and SOMETHING will happen. Take the bull by the horns; reach out and goose a Taurus (or an Aries, or a Capricorn…)!

I just LOVE these posts you are putting together, Satori because I always end up laughing my head off.

I’m making my sweetie a red Valentine’s cake . . . and he’s giving me flowers ’cause I can’t eat chocolate anymore. Yeah . . . how unfair is THAT!! :-(

That’s funny my first date with my husband was on Valentine’s Day. We joked about how you know “oh, not too much pressure for a first date!”.

The weird thing is Valentine’s Day is no big whoop for us - we exchange cards of course, and I get my roses, but we never felt the need to make it into this big “pressure on” kind of day.

I think I stressed out about it much, much more with previous boyfriends - it was like, “what did he get you?”, oh guess he does not care that much (ugh!) lol.
