Elsa, this and the Saturn Pluto post are, I think, the most essential and timely (as in ‘of this time’) pieces of advice I’ve ever read here.

I went to an investment seminar a couple of years ago, run by an Israeli self-made millionaire - it was designed against the needs of these coming times and how to safeguard your hard-won money. One of the days was on the mindset of the successful investor, and I remember sitting there, watching this graph of a stock that had hit its peak and was now falling, falling, never to return.

He said that what people do in ignorance, is buy at the top, just before the stock tanks, and when they see it tanking they hang on, and hang on, and hang on, hoping it will go up again. Because they don’t understand that the stock market, like everything else on this planet follows the natural laws, and when something is in the down part of the cycle you have to accept that this is how it is and CUT YOUR LOSSES, quick before you lose any more. The emotional attachment to the money or the stock is what makes people lose everything.

So I sat there, and I realised, like a bucket of cold water being poured over me, that this was exactly what I’d been doing in my relationship for the past ten years - investing everything in something that wasn’t just giving me no return, but was bleeding me dry to the point I had nothing left.

Three months later I was out of there. And my life now is totally different. I hope to God people get this lesson, because it’s becoming so much more serious now, with Pluto involved.
