The Moon in Capricorn crosses Pluto while is squares Saturn and Uranus overnight. In a word? COLD.
Mars is also square the Sun in Scorpio. The whole situation sounds like cruelty to me, not to scare anyone.
Fact is you could be going in for the surgery that will save your life today but if so, coddling or nurturing will be very hard to come by in the process.
If you are someone with your Moon in Service (Virgo, Pisces, etc.), you’re very much needed out there so do what you can.

My mom is getting married on Friday - so I will put my Cancer Node into effect (certainly the aqua moon might not help).
Interesting post!
Hey Bananas! I know how u feel…my ex was a Cap moon too.
Do you know if Capricorn moons are known to be colder and less emotional than a Capricorn sun? This truly would not surprise me!!
same here — ex with a capricorn moon. with the emphasis on EX. my sister has the same placement — that is a mighty cold placement — *brrrrrrrr*
Sounds like a tough time.
To be fair, if capricorn really is offering life-saving surgery and I need it, I’ll gladly take it! I’ll worry about feeling fuzzy later.
(moon in sadge)
I have a capricorn moon and while at times I may seem cold (not usually, really, just when the shit hits the fan) I can assure you my feelings run as deep as anyone’s.
I want to be clear: not stirring up anything here, nor taking offense, just offering my first-hand perspective.
I’m with Satori on this one… Pisces Sun with Capricorn Moon here too. I don’t think I’m cold… although maybe that’s just my opinion about me and others may disagree ![]()
I had a friend who had this kind of energy in her chart:
Sun-Venus-moon conjunct in Cap/11 in a grand trine with Saturn and Chiron. Sun-V-moon is also sextiling Uranus and squaring Pluto, and she’s Aquarius rising.
I wouldn’t call her cold, necessarily. She was very interested in other people’s problems and would help you however she could to find a way through. But, and this is a biiiiiig but, she meddled in others’ problems so she could ignore her own and was extremely manipulative. I always got the impression that, though she did care, she’d rather get dirt to spread to anyone else who would listen.
Then again, that might just be because she can’t keep a secret worth a damn and not necessarily malicious on her part.
On the positive side, there’s two Cap moons here that are obviously very caring and not cold at all (from what I can tell from online): satori and kashmiri. I know there’s more Cap moons here, but those are the ones that I can remember off the top of my head.

Cap Moon seems to be, actually, a very common among people who are interested in astrology. And it’s not just because I’m a Cap Moon and notice other Cap Moons. When I first got serious about astrology I posted to a board in my mother tongue that did a poll on Moon signs of the readers. Capricorn was one of the most common ones.
I’ve often wondered if that’s because what ever the rest of the chart suggest, Moon Caps are very concrete people. We tend to express our feelings in concrete ways. And astrology is, basicly, a very concrete disipline. So, I’d say it’s only natural Moon Caps with otherwise warm charts would be interested in helping people through astrology.
I correspond with a fellow astrologer who has a Cap Moon, and she conveys her emotions so well, she cares in the way that means she will come up with practical solutions, something I do as a Moon/Saturn person, which is similar but not the same.
She has very deep emotions, but she has them contained and doesn’t expect anyone else to be responsible for her, possibly as life has brought her a lack of warm caretaking, but she is warm and real, and I’m greatly enriched by her friendship.
I hear the same strength around Satori and Kash too, and others..
Interestingly she gives shape and form to her emotions through art, as do several others I’ve known of.
But actually I headed onto this post to say that’s a fine analogy of the energy around right now from Elsa. I am doing a business call then heading to my daughters to help with the kids as she has the flu, nasty one, but actually I’m coming down with it myself so I don’t physically feel like doing that, I simply NEED to help while I can.
agree that cap moon is not uncaring, but rather stoic, self-contained, and to those moons that blob all over the floor like jelly, maybe cap moon seems cold, i think they are just in control of their emotions- or try to. my father is a cancer with cap moon, most people see him as cold- he is one of the most sensitive caring individuals…but self-contained.
greatpost on the cold, thankyou elsa.
My sister in law has Moon in Capricorn and it can seem like she’s not a Sagittarius at all, but a Capricorn!
“Do you know if Capricorn moons are known to be colder and less emotional than a Capricorn sun? ”
Only on the outside. Inside they are very very needy people.
never felt more love than exudes from my Capricorn Sun grandson..age 5!
The Capricorn Moon today is definitely all about duty and also about another Cappy area, grandparenting.. me and the other team are helping out..and I’m hearing a lot about that troday..flubugs everywhere..
have a good weekend all xx
Thanks for the Cap Moon backup! LOL
Beth, I agree, as a Cap Moon, I do appear stoic on the outside and I AM very needy and I don’t even have a problem saying it. I’m a needy little love machine, or to quote my Pisces friend:
“pet me pet me, love me love me!”
Togi and Shell are also Cappy Moons, and there are a few more I’m forgetting. ..
My Cap Moon activity (I also have a Virgo Ceres conjunct Ascendent) today is filling the freezer with pizza. I’m currently baking the 7th one. Oh, and listening to Gino Paoli’s early 60’s classics before the Aries Moon comes home and tells me that Italians haven’t been able to make good music after Puccini. If you know “Senza Fine”,which was covered by Connie Francis and Peggy Lee, you know that music doesn’t get much more romantic.
Hey, this explains why I had a HORRIBLE time falling asleep last night. And when I did finally fall asleep I had nightmares, lol….it’s some kind of universal joke. But thanks for posting that, it explains some of my insomnia/bad dreams last night.

My ex is a Capricorn moon. Today he told me that his mom is taking a writing class. Her teacher said her paper was the best thing she’d read in 15 years and she should enter it in a contest. So I said, “Ooh! What did she write about? Did she read the paper to you?”
He had no idea, and that’s because “that’s as deep as it goes,” I guess, when you’re a MAN and a GEMINI with a CAPRICORN moon.
And me, I figured it must have been an essay about his dead brother.
