Open Question: Effects of Saturn’s Transit Through Libra?
Ask the collective
With Saturn transiting Libra, I think relationships will definitely be more defined, serious and committed. Tastes will be more conservative (clothing, clothes, etc.) and people will be expected to conduct themselves with some degree of decorum.
With Saturn in Virgo we learned to think and communicate our ideas. With Saturn in Libra we master the art of discourse where the other person’s point of view is considered.
Coarse, self-centered people will be rejected, as will people who are inconsiderate in relationship. People who are considerate and think and act in ways that are fair will find themselves solidly supported.
What do you think Saturn’s transit through Libra will bring?

I hope this shuts up, or at least severely tempers, all the loud-mouthed, rude and obnoxious “opinionators” in the media (on both sides of the spectrum)!
I’m really happy to hear all of that. My question is, after it’s done transiting through Libra, does the effects linger for a while or is that all forgotten? I was really hoping Saturn would just make it’s final resting place in Libra. Not possible you say? Damnit *snaps*
Libra is about bridge building too, one way or another, so maybe some gaps will be more solidly bridged. Saturn in Libra, old fashioned courtesy, yes please! Thrift is wise, but in a balanced kind of way. Lessons to learn about moderation.
As Saturn heads into Libra and jars with Pluto in Capricorn, maybe we can hope for the demise of the Pluto in Sag celebration of celebrity based on sensational often crude activities to be replaced by the resurrection of recognition of clever/artistic achievements!! The end of cruel/crude reality shows would be welcomed by this (sounding like a grump) Saturn in Libra woman, too. Ah that felt good though!!
Saturn in Libra could help to bring in a better understanding of how we treat people, especially those whose views are so strongly opposed to our own. Today we see such conflict with regard to how people express political differences in public, for instance. And it’s getting everyone no where.
I think Saturn in Libra will help all to understand that we are actually speaking of the same thing, all on the same side, working toward the same goal. When we stop shouting and get to the root of what is bothering us, we might all realize we are all saying the same thing. And those who are just yelling because they prefer to be angry and inconsolable children will also be dealt with - in the way that Libra can be strong and tell it like it is, straight and to the point, with power and force, when necessary.
It is my sincere hope that the Saturn in Libra transit helps to steer the Pluto through Capricorn transit in helping empower people, helping us turn from a culture that values things and reminds us of what matters: our relationships with other people. I pray that Saturn in Libra reminds us of the value of a quality life, balanced, healthy, loving and beautiful, that highlights our connections with others and makes us all feel a little less alone in this world that seems to be crumbling around our feet - as well it should.
(Ready to jump into my Saturn Return…)
Thanks for this, Elsa. Saturn in Libra will be transiting my 10th house so more considerate people will be welcome!
The ’80s Saturn in Libra time was the absolute worst time of my life thus far. I think Pluto was with it then. 1983: ((shudder)).
Anyway thinking back, ’80s big-shoulder-pad-suit fashion time. TV show Dynasty. Reagan/Thatcher. Falklands War/colonial vestiges. Lebanon. Afghanistan. Bernie Getz (?) in NYC.
People are going to be pissed about perceived imbalances in a lot of things I bet.
ps Phyllis Schlafly etc defeating the Equal Rights Amendment.
panic!
(eh, uhm, aries speaking for saturn transiting her pluto…)
maybe i’ll finally start to get a clue on this libra stuff and, more specifically, my pluto stuff.
otherwise, for normal people… i’d like to think more dignity in our debating would be good for everybody.
Endurance, tolerance, maturity in relationships. Betting folks who cut and run, hide, can’t problem solve in relationships will find themselves deprived of one in no time. Relationships that last take hard work, discipline and effort!
More boundaries! with compassion.
But first Saturn’s gonna tip the scales I think. Libra energy can be angry and crazed, I’ve known some like that. I think that’s partly what all those wars/genocides were about the last time around.
But luckily now there are more people than ever who are tuned into the (proven) power of intention. And hopefully more will come together and intend a better more peaceful and harmonious world.
I like what everyone said. I especially like what c said about how Libras can be strong, and that it’s our relationships, our social networks that really matter. I have been hearing that message over and over again. Having been isolated for a few years or more, I am sending out applications to various tribes
Please don’t wish for it to stay in Libra. I am a Libra and have had enough pressure the last few years to last me a lifetime. Now more pressure headed my way for the next 3 years. Libra’s need a b reak!
