1 Minute Astrology - What Happens When Authority Meets Authority? Elsa P Collides With The FBI aka Libra Control Freak In Nature

Astrology in real life

From May, 2008 - Er… this is current again because the police just visited my sister’s house about this case…. today, I mean under this grand cross.

Convo with my sister when we got home that day. I was railing.

“They are going to fuck this up!”
“Elsa I know that.”
“Well what the fuck?”
“Elsa, I agree. I think you would be great at running the FBI but you asked if you could and they said no.”

Ha! I immediately thought of Capricorn when I heard the words “you don’t run the FBI.” Reminded me of the time I was bitching at my SO (Cap Sun/Saturn conjunct) about all his Cap traits and he said very seriously:
“Jesus was a Capricorn.”
I couldn’t stop laughing…anyway to answer your question of “Could I have run the FBI?” Damn straight you could!
You don’t think they swear and be coarse on the job?
Perhaps it’s about Libra…hmm…what was your Libra post the other day about? Oh yes. Smile and be pretty. A ha!

I love this whole discussion of ‘authority meeting authority’ - have been there many times, and not knowing what else to do, have utilized the lockjawed tenacity of a bulldog to just force my way through to where I thought the situation needed to be - but made a lot of enemies doing that! And yes, I hear you loud and clear on the control freak nature of Libras - was married to one for 23 years - thanks for confirming what I learned through hard experience! But a Leo sun and Scorpio rising and Scorpio Moon give me some experience in being a control freak too - at least I’m sure that’s what those enemies would say! Sometimes I bring a tank to a battle when a slingshot would do - and I too have been told, “you don’t run the (whatever)!” But then I just literally hung in there and usually ended up getting my way anyway, but at a cost certainly.

And I have a question: how do you know when you are experiencing a Saturn return, I mean, life tells me that I am, but how do you confirm it by looking at one’s chart? I am very curious about this, but do not have enough knowledge or information to look it up for myself. Can someone please guide me?

Hope everyone’s having a great day and enjoying Spring.

Saturn has a 28-29 1/2 year cycle, peppermint so everyone has their Saturn return better 28-30 years old.

Oh! Thanks for that answer Elsa, it rules that out at least. Now if only I can remember what was going on back then . . .LOL

I do always tend to believe that subtle powers of persuasion (can i spell?) always work best. Like last night when a friend told me that they took action that I had recommended against but they took it anyway and then flashed it in my face. I should have had the awareness to be cool and continue to present myself as an authority on the matter whether they challenged me or not. But I didn’t and ended up upsetting myself with no change to the situation. So my intentions were good but my approach didn’t produce the result that would’ve helped the person I wanted to help. Happens all the time to me but I’m trying to be more aware and dare I say “tricky”. Good post.

It is very hard for me too, when I know someone is making a completely stupid choice, to keep my mouth shut. My husband is sooooooo much better than me at being diplomatic. He knows to still be respectful of whoever his current department head is, even if they really are making ridiculous decisions, and even though he knows they will be gone in max 2 years. He is a tenured teacher, and could tell most of management to kiss his you know what, as many of his colleagues who are tenured do. But he knows how to play the game, and as such has managed to be liked by all, colleagues, principal, superintendants, you name it, he plays them all. I suck at bullshitting - if I do not have any respect for you, I just can’t fake it.

I don’t know why, but I didn’t get this video when you posted it the first time. The answer to your question? Maybe. Charm, manners and framing help a lot, (it’s the only way I get anything done…. laughs) but it’s often not enough, even when you’re right, if the other party has made their mind up. It goes without saying they should have listened to you! Is this in your book? I want to read it! :-)

No, it’s not in the book!! I only put the tip of the iceberg in the book and was told that was too much, remember?
::smiles::
I would talk about all this stuff but I don’t have the time. I have to make a living and nobody believes me anyway!
This morning I was having to try to assert the soldier is a real person again. The challenge to overcome this is… overwhelming.

All I can tell you is I am obviously not a liar but if it is not obvious to you then anything more I say is a waste of time.
