My eye on the sky
The new moon in Virgo is set to be spectacular. The Sun and Moon will be tightly conjunct Saturn and Virgo’s ruler, Mercury so if you want to cement your intention in the Virgo realm, there could be no better time.
This conjunction opposes Uranus and well played you might commit to your own liberation and here are some specific ideas:
Free yourself by controlling your mind and negative thinking.
Free yourself by commitment to healthy diet and exercise.
Free yourself by working smarter and more efficiently.
Etc.
Check the house where the new Moon falls in your chart. It will be incredibly energized and one more (Virgo) detail: Pluto squares the new Moon so unfathomable power is there to be tapped… for the courageous anyway.
If you lack courage I guess you better go hide under the bed or something.

2nd house–working my butt off to get out of debt, and since Pluto is transiting the 5th, hopefully I can do something fun with the same purpose soon.
6th house - conjunct my Saturn and I’m having my Saturn Return - the peak of my Saturn Return on Tuesday to boot! Yikes! INTENSE!

I have loads of stuff in the 10th house + all my natal stuff is in the 10th house…but no significant change in my job and nothing anticipated. Humm.
oh thank god. it falls in my third house, just as i’m starting school. i think this is a good sign.

Close, but not conjunct my sun in the 11th. I don’t see my relationship to friends changing though, so hmm…

In 3rd conjunct N. Node and IC, very damned close to conjuncting my Mars-Venus-Pluto in early Libra.
Honestly, I’d love to make a change for the better, I desperately want to break out of old patterns. But, it’s been one step forward, three steps back for years and I just don’t have the drive anymore. (Of course, that will change in two days, then change in two days, then change in two days. Dammit.) TODAY, however, I’m just depleted.

Saturn leaves my 7th house (equal house system) THAT DAY, so with all this other going on, I’m expecting things to propel forward. In which direction, I cannot predict, but I guess that’s none of my business right now.

Conjuncting my natal Uranus and the cusp of my 6th house, which is at the tail end of a moon-pluto-uranus stellium in Virgo in the 5th. I’ve just had Saturn transiting that stellium for the past several years. (Had a baby during that time.)
I’m looking forward to making some great new changes in my daily life — better diet, exercise, etc. I’m hoping that with the 5th house influence, all this taking care of myself will result in another healthy, full-term pregnancy.

Well, it looks like it’s conjunct my Pluto on that day, which is riding out the Saturn/Sun conjunction, all in the 6th house. I have no idea what this all means… also touching off a yod with my mercury and venus/saturn, opposing my sun. For some reason I have the image of a rocket ship - to the moon, Alice! I hope I survive.
Ok, so I just found out that the Moon transiting Pluto gives you more “guts” to quit a bad habit. This is hopeful. Since this is happening in my 6th house (in Virgo, no less), I’m hoping to free myself of the poundage I put on over the past year (and the bad habits that left it there).
Interesting–I have severed some very unproductive burinsess relaitonships this week.AM feeling a bit depressed it didn’t work out.But on the UP side, I now have the energy and time to refocus on my HEALTH AND FITNESS.. before taking on a horrid day job I had lost 1 1pounds and was getting stronger for hiking–the past 3 months it all went by the wayside.. NOW– this transit falls in my 7th and me and the husband are rejoining the hiking club, working together again, and I have the time and energy to get centered in my HOME MAKING,cooking, family business, and health habits once again–It DID take courgage to UN do a bad decision I made back in June.. but I am now determined to enjoy the AUTUMN season ..

My natal Saturn is at 25-26 Virgo — ie. this will be the peak of my first Saturn Return!
In my chart, Saturn at this degree opposes my Moon, squares my Venus-Neptune, and sextiles my Mercury-Uranus.
I just got my RN license in the mail Friday and am applying for my first so-called “real” job in line with my vocation, and preparing for another major geographical move. I feel a strong urge toward and need for more consistent discipline in my life. It is an exciting time!
Forgot to mention: this Saturn, natally & transiting, is in my 6th house.
Well, it will be in my empty 12th House, but very close to my natal Pluto on Asc (29 Virgo)

The New Moon will fall in my 5th house, conjunct my natal Mercury. This pair will stand in opposition to my natal Moon conjunct transiting Uranus.
… and I really don’t know what to make of that! I got a lot of out Elsa’s previous explanations of how natal oppositions work, but I’m not sure why the energies of an opposition seem to combine (or be able to integrate) during a transiting aspect?
I’m also wondering how you juxtapose natal Moon energy affected by aspect to transiting Moon energy affecting other planets by aspect…
So, um… if anyone’s wanting to practice the fine art of teaching astrology, I offer myself up as your pupil.

Any comments? my natal moon is at 23 degrees virgo, 3rd house. transiting moon, saturn, sun and mercury all basically conjunct. i’m in an Aboriginal Justice camp for four days - and the lessons regarding native language, its organic connection to a person and his/her culture, people, the land, the ancestors are hitting my heart, soul, mind with intensity. at the same time there’s alot to learn, which I am resistant to, about status, reputation, living within the lines, and laws.
the moon, saturn, sun and mercury will all conjunct my natal moon at 23 degrees virgo 3rd house. I’m in an aboriginal justice camp and the lessons regarding native language and song, it’s connective power to community, the land, to creation is very powerful. also powerful is a lesson i’ve been resistant to because of cultural confusion and not believing in the status quo, that OF status, reputation, living life within the laws, to live a good life. How do I know where the new moon is in my chart? Looking at my chart I see the moon in my 5th house, which appears to be Taurus? And the symbol of the crescent moon has the numbers 12 37 by it.
Okay, if I look at where Virgo falls on my chart, Virgo is the 9th house, and Pluto is in there with 01 directly below it and just below and a little to the left of that is the number 6.
So what does this mean for me?

Sounds like you have a 5th house Taurus Moon at 12 degrees, 37 minutes of Taurus. You may like my series for beginners…
As for the new Moon it is Virgo @ 25 degrees so you have to figure out where that would land.
Look for planets in Virgo or Virgo on the cusp of the house. Mostly like 9th in your case.
You can put your chart up on the boards and people will help…
I am a bit confused about the last sentence in your article. You referenced the above reader to your beginners series but can you please provide a link or reference to a specific article that explains how to determine where the current new moon falls on my natal chart? (I wasn’t able to locate that information there and don’t know how to phrase a query to locate this information via my web browser.) I know how to read my natal chart (my moon is in Pisces in the 7th house) but what does that tell me about where the new moon falls on my chart now? Thanks for any help you can provide in demystifying this!

Welcome, jenerickson, nothing like that exists. I meant to point to beginner posts in general. Your best bet is to post your chart on the boards and someone will help you out for sure.

The beautiful Fall New Moon “falls” in my 1st House of Self where Pluto of all planets sits, along with my Virgo Rising. The world I once knew is passing away, but a new world is being born. Resisting this is no longer an option. I’m rather looking forward to it.
the new moon lands right on my Virgo MC ^^ Saturn is about to conjunct my MC in a couple of days. Uranus has been conjuncting my IC on and off again for the last couple of months.
Sun, Moon and Saturn are EXACTLY conjunct N. Pluto. Mercury is exactly conjunct N. Venus.
All of this falls in the 6th house.
Now, the pressure is on to get–get this–a night job stocking shelves at a grocery store.
I don’t know WHAT this guy is thinking. I’m going to have to take my career path back in my own hands before he decides it for me.
This is one thing I can’t stand about him. He’s a Capricorn (Sun at 26 Capricorn, so this New Moon is easy for him!), and he micromanages everything. Why does he think someone with a lot of Aries and Leo is going to just quietly accept his plans?
