“Yeah, it must be a generational thing or something,” the soldier said. “Or maybe it’s cultural? These young guys - that’s what they go for. They seem to like these skinny girls with no ass, I don’t get it. I don’t get it at all. I mean, what’s the point of having a girl with no ass?”
“I don’t know.”
“Well I’ve wondered about this. What if I were to fall in love with a girl with no ass? What would I do? I mean, if I loved her, if I was in love with her..?”
“What would you do?”
“I don’t know. I’m not sure I could stand it, being with a girl with no ass. I guess I’d tell her, hey. Are you going to eat? Do you plan to eat something but if you’re not going to eat, I’m not going to stick around.”

“I’d have to, P. I just like to see an ass on a woman, I can’t see stickin’ around a woman with no ass and if it she’s got a big ass, well that’s okay too. Just an ass, that’s all. An ass of some kind, I don’t want to spend my life sleeping with a board.”

That’s funny, julian. The soldier has told me expressly, “If you’re dying of cancer then I guess you’ll be skinny like a stick but if you are not dying of cancer… well, P, I’d just rather not be with a concentration camp survivor looking woman if you don’t mind. Or a bald squirrel…” (hair removal)
I feel inordinately assured today about my curvy proportions 
I think that’s why I get along so well with inter-racial or ethnic groups…..they love my curves and I might add, my “buttocks”….I am too meaty for alot of white bread american guys….well, they arn’t just american, they can be any nationality, but white=bread mentality…..
I love that attitude in a man. My man feels exactly the same about stick figures and bald squirrels.

I have to say, though, I’ve always thought a woman’s thighs should meet at the top. I can’t stand all these models and actresses being paraded around like some sort of shape gurus and there’s, like, enough space in their inguinal area to shove a rabbit through. Man, funk dat!

All the female Taurii(?) I know do have great asses, even if they never work out - and we’re in our early 30’s so that’s really enviable. Uhm, not that I’m envious…;)

when i started losing weight, my husband was worried that i’d lose my ass along with it. not happening! still got my curves. (and indeed, that’s the way he likes it.)

Okay, I think it depends…I think there is more than one trend and I agree with denamaria. That J-Lo set of hips (ie wide ones) are still very prominent in adverts n TV. Not at all the 1980s body of narrow hips, big breasts and a very much buffed sort of female. And even now the females used in ads for fitness magazines still have those big wide hips bones with narrow waist lines. (Actually i suppose it’s more similar to a is wasp waist. And at the same time–still with those wide hips– the wiaf/heroin addict anoexic figure is still so in vogue…1950s figure without the Merry Widow corset on. It’s all about big hips now. No fat on it or not.
