Astrology Today: August 8, 2009 - Early Warning And A Song That’ll Save Ya

My eye on the sky

Yesterday’s sweet Moon in Pisces now hits some lumps and bumps and probably some bruises as it collides with Mars in Gemini (Ouch!) Saturn in Virgo (Ow!), conjuncts Uranus (JOLT) and squares Pluto (”No use talkin’ about it…”)

PS, I am posting this early so there is time it can be absorbed. This is a fate one should avoid if at all possible…

Here’s a tune (video) I’m dedicating to Elsa P. and her Jupiter / eighth house connection during eclipse week. This is just the beginning, folks. If anyone is equipped to tell it like it is, it’s Elsa P.!

Oops. I just NOW listened to your cosmic weather “eye on the sky” forecast song, Elsa. After posting that last dedication, angel may not be synonymous with cherie OR elsa, but WTF cares? Let’s fuckin’ dance to dichotomy, y’all!

The diversity is what is best about this blog. That video is hilarious.

Oh my god, I laughed so hard I scared the neighbors. Cherie, if you have any more of that stuff, please please post!

Sorry for the hijack, elsa, but that was hysterical!

Carielle, I jumped ahead (Uranus) with “Eight Miles Wide” by Storm Strong (real name) and posted before I listened to “Angel” by John Hiatt, which is certainly timely and fabulous. I had just finished a “welcome to your new life” astrology session with Elsa and I was on fire. She understands and accepts my impetuousness and I’m glad you liked the video as much as I did. The neighbors need to hear more belly laughs, anyway.

I’ve watched the video a few times myself. Isn’t she great? Here’s some more information on Storm Large:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_Large

Apparently Storm’s mother suffered from mental illness until her death. Storm dedicated “Wish You Were Here” to her mom on Super Nova without letting the audience know the challenges of her background. In other words, she didn’t milk her mother’s history for the pity vote. Here’s an interview with Ellen Degeneres:

I really like people who are totally themselves, unabashed, for all the world to see. Hence my love for Elsa and her looney bloggers!

PS: Satori, your choice of character that accompanies each chart at the Colosseum is brilliant and amazing. I’m about to watch Kramer vs Kramer so I can study Meryl Streep in action while I take notes. HA! Merci, my dear.

have you ever seen Meryl S in The River Wild?

Oh yes! It was filmed on the lower Rogue River, right here in Southern Oregon. I watched the entire movie from the front row, became sea sick and I don’t think my neck has ever fully recovered! Kevin Bacon played such a bad-ass and Meryl (we’re on a first name basis thanks to you) demonstrates the strength and power of women, yet again. Probably my favorite Meryl film of all time is “Sophie’s Choice” (although I don’t think I can bear to watch it at this moment). “The French Lieutenant’s Woman” will haunt you forever and “Death Becomes Her” is a scream. There. My Meryl movie reviews for the day.

From an American Indian perspective this song reminds me of entering the sweatlodge. Going there is a symbolic return to the womb, to re-enter Mother Earth to be rebirthed after purification.

Thanks for the link Cherie. I enjoyed it!!

almost got stuck in the middle of nowhere with the kid and the wee sis after not just one but three freak technological mishaps. and missed out on dinner with someone..

weird day. winged it on a kind of prayer through the storms and gorgeous scenery and put 400 miles on the odometer between one gasup and the next.
i knew we’d be fine.
