Astrology Today: July 4, 2009 - Independence Day
My eye on the sky
The Moon in Sagittarius runs into Saturn in Virgo today and as a result the collective mood drops a few degrees. Just as important, Mercury is now in Cancer opposing Pluto in Capricorn which is a similar exchange.
It is independence day here and Americans are sure to consider have their “home country” on their mind and be stirred at a deeper level than what is usual for the holiday.

Our independence day celebrations started off with a call to help our 85 year old WWII vet neighbor who had fallen and couldn’t get up on his own. His wife got my son’s attention. We rushed over and called the paramedics to check him out. He may have broken a shoulder and was in some pain. We sat and waited until the paramedics arrived and then cleared out to give him privacy. He began to cry when we called his daughter to let her know what had happened. Very somber mood here.

(((poor guy)))
He’s home and surrounded by family. We went back over to check on him. Have had a good afternoon/evening with good friends and were happy to have been there to help earlier. It was just such a clear match to what Elsa described here I had to come back and report.
Right now they’re setting off fireworks in the back yard and trying to avoid burning down the barn. ![]()
