Pluto in Capricorn: Trends In The Collective - Everyone Wants To Know How To Survive Catastrophe!

Astrology in real life

elsa in desertI was pretty sure I was going to come in to vogue when Pluto went into Capricorn and I have. It’s going to be a nice long run for, Elsa P who was born to disaster and crisis. To say I am in my element is an understatement. I know how to navigate… whatever.

As I mentioned, in Parenting And A Legacy Of Success, I study social psychology and I am watching Pluto in Capricorn themes emerge in the field. One is the realization that sustained effort goes hand in hand with success as I outlined in the first piece. The other is the current interest in people who survive disaster as outlined in, The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes - and Why and The Survivors Club: The Secrets and Science that Could Save Your Life.

Capricorn = the sky falling and Pluto = survival so the connection hard to miss. These books are best sellers.

This is a long way from celebrity gossip ruling the day. Books on how to fix and flip houses have also gone the way of the dinosaurs to be replaced with runs on books who teach you how to pan for gold.

It does give you a sense we are living history but we were also living history when all those middle aged women stood in line to get the latest Beanie Baby.

What shifts have you seen since Pluto went into Capricorn?

To be honest I don’t see that many changes yet because it’s only been 7 months since Pluto left Sagittarius and Pluto is in retrograde now. And there’s 14 or 15 years left, so we’ll see.

Oh wait, Conan O’ Brian replaced Jay Leno as comedian on NBC. Lol! And Obama became president!

’sustained effort goes hand in hand with success’ - Although I’m a a Cap I’ve never climbed that goat mountain. I’ve worked hard in short bursts so I could cruise about, travel and have fantastic times. Now in my mid 30s I last year (in August ha ha) started an accelerated uni course - law degree combined with a masters in law to be completed in 3 years. Pluto is definately taking me somewhere and I can see the long term future unfolding in a long beautiful path right in front of me….is nice….I feel on track and totally in control.

oh, and financial crisis! Things built on falseness fall apart under this influence don’t they?

@ Trish - I was thinking that. The house built on sand will eventually crumble, and here is Pluto, clearing out the crap.

Or something like that *grin*

Totally reflective of this Pluto in Capricorn shift is HOME, a new film which was released last Friday in 4 languages on YouTube and already booked for free screenings in 108 countries so far.
Survival… and responsibility, sustainability and accountability, now, on Earth. The importance for efficiency and temperance, for altering consumption & labor. I was totally mesmerized with it’s amazing cinematography, see from the air, around the planet. The movie managed to avoid any sensational drama BS. I really recommend it.

definitely more internal stability…since pluto moved off of my moon-neptune conjunctions in late sag. in fact, i began wondering how i ever functioned before with so much turmoil. i’m feeling like the volume on my emotional/family/romantic life has turned down enough for me to think about my career, the big picture, and having fun. i feel like i can take a long term view now.

all the pluto in sag babies are freaking out. don’t know what hit them.
at least, that was my impression teaching the oldest of them, last year.

i’m finally getting around to doing a bunch of things i have put off for too long. but i think that’s the saturn/uranus opposition of the last year more than pluto.
but there’s a certain survival compulsion pushing me to do it, too…

Pluto has… well, for me personally, cleared up a lot. That’s not always comfortable or fun, but I’ve had to work out my commitment issues, now working on my finances, becoming a mom … just a lot of stuff that had been lagging for years, it’s all up on the table.

oh Dina the GM bit deeply disturbs me. I do hope that these “goats go on to lead full and happy lives” and that this is not messing with more fire down the time line.
