Open Question: How Are Your Manners?

I just left a comment on friend’s blog. “I am impressed with both your patience and your level of manners”. Manners are a Libra thing and mine are poor.
I think my manners are harmed by having Mars in Libra which only makes sense if you are missing a lobe of your brain since I could just as easy be driven (Mars) to be well mannered but as it turns out I’m not. I am driven to be “fair” so I am not sure why I turned out like other than I am from the desert.
With Mars conjunct Mercury in LIBRA in the 9th house, I think (Mercury) it is polite (Libra) if I tell you the truth (9th house) with an edge (Mars) which is of course not polite at all. ::sighs::

I just think Mars is only going to get so refined. For example you get to hit me first but then I am going to kill you.
…And I think that is manners, see?
Picking a fight = bad manners.
Killing someone who picks a fight = good manners ie. keeping the peace.
Elsa: you let people take the first punch, then you defend yourself. It’s smart.

luci - thanks. I usually let them hit me 3 or 5 or 10 times however I am trying to get that down to 1 because fact is, if they hit you once they’ll hit you twice…

I do have my cranky side though…
I just remembered… it was considered good manners at my house to invite people to play cards, tell jokes. gloat, take all their money and then thank them for coming, “See you next week!” 
My Libra situation involves Pluto, Mars and my descendant. I’m the balancer - if someone is polite, I’ll be a little impolite. And if they’re mean, I’ll try to be nice. I am rarely provoked. When that happens I lose my temper, although it tends to be a short burst, followed by my wondering if I should have gone so far, maybe that wasn’t polite.
I am ridiculously polite. I’ve got Libra all over my chart — Sun, Mercury, Mars, and more — and it has really come home to me lately how much I emphasize politeness as a mother. My child’s other caretakers (those who watch her while I work) are content to accept a long, drawn-out “Pleeeeeeaaase!” tacked on to the end of a demand and accept that as polite. I, however, balk at that. I pretty much insist that she ask the entire question in a kind and inquisitive voice, “Mom, can I have some cookies, please?”
“Mom!!! Cookie!!!!!! Pleeeeeaaase!”
Will not cut it.
Lots of Libra. I believe in behaving respectfully towards others though I’m not Miss Manners by any means.
Really big on thinking before speaking but than my Mars-Mercury conjunction is in controlled Scorpio AND in my 12th house. Being pissed off renders me totally inarticulate . . .

When I am pissed off I don’t care who you are, I’m comin’. I would threaten on 50 biker dudes in a fury but thankfully they would probably not threaten me back probably because I have dimples and just look like a pissed off Italian woman from a movie they can’t quite recall the name of. 
Mars in aries, like Toni, but I have very nice manners. Stay away from gossip circles, always do the dishes when I someone else cooks, consider about how my actions impact on others. I dont’ really get it. I’m not as up on astro as most people that visit here.
I have Mars in Libra in the 4th house. I think I am pretty polite. I have learned to deliver the truth in a way that doesn’t offend, as much,lol. Also if I don’t have anything nice to say about someone I will give a fact. For example a friend who was raving about her current husband how good looking he was(yuck). I thought he was an ass but I said yes he is tall,lol.
I also relate to Neith’s comment about getting so pissed you can’t say anything articulate. I get really frustrated and want to swear inarticulately,lol.
I have Moon and Pluto conjunction in Libra and a full 7th house (Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, North Node and sometimes Venus). I am terribly polite and I even have that annoyingly soft-spoken, polite voice - very different from my very loud family (lots of Aries)! People used to tell my mother how polite I was when I was a child too. She says they don’t know the real me - Pluto in the 8th can have me seething inside but it is in Libra so it comes out smooth (in public anyway). I definately don’t hesitate to stand up for myself though and that is when the other side comes out.

I don’t think I have much in the way of manners. I try b/c I do not want to offend, but generally I am oblivious. My Libra situation: Moon conj Pluto in Libra…I WANT to be polite, but it rarely turns out that way lol
It depends, with Libra rising I am generally very well mannered. Sometimes to the point of stupidity according to some friends; I can see their perspective but I believe in being what I want to see, if that makes sense. However I do have Mars in Aries and so I can also be deliberately rude on a trigger if I get really pushed around.
I like to think I have good manners. And the harder something is to say or to hear, the more careful I am in my choice of words. (The people who know me REALLY well get worried when I get all super polite.) Overall I do try to consider other people and make my choices in such a way as to not affect them adversely. Unless they are trying to kick my ass, which is totally different.

My Uranus is in Libra 5H and
trine Saturn/Sun in Gemini 1H
square Mars/Venus in Cancer 2H
square Jupiter in Cap 8H
and I’m not sure what to make of all that.
No actual Libra anywhere and only Neptune in 7th house. I think I am very polite… maybe it has something to do with having a packed 10th house and Cap Moon. I dunno.
No, I am not polite, but I make a joke out of the impolite things I say and people laugh.
Mars is square my Sun and my Uranus, though sextile my Mercury.
I was raised in a strict household where I was taught that good manners grease the squeaky wheels of the universe. I always appreciate those folks that have courtly, considerate manners, but I also appreciate those folks who abandon good manners to just speak the truth. I have a 12th house Libra, with Neptune parked there as well, which squares Uranus, Mercury and Venus in Cancer. And! A 10th house Mars in Leo and a Scorp Moon give me all the permission I need to flame up and forget the manners if a situation calls for it.
I’m polite to a fault when I’m among strangers or out in public. Moon, Jupiter, and Uranus in Libra, the first two widely conjunct. When I’m around family or friends, my brasher Leo side comes out. And when I’m around people I can’t stand, the Leo and Aries are out in full force.
With Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Uranus in Libra, I’m polite even when I don’t want to be. I cannot be rude on purpose, and when I’m accidentally rude it bothers me for the rest of the day.
I have a libra sn/sun & have pretty good manners but my sag mars can be kind of gross sometimes.

between pluto (heavily aspected) and the south node in libra, though, i need to at least learn something about partnership and balance…
but, uhm. sometimes pluto makes me a bit heavy for most people. there’s a certain tact in not dropping bombs, even if they’re true. the question is appropriateness, and i haven’t quite figured that.

I am 99% well-mannered, 1% utterly, deadly ruthless. I am often shocked at how far people are willing to push me.
the hulk, “you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry” bit comes to mind. tho I am perfectly articulate when enraged.
Mars loosly conjunct pluto in libra in the seventh. Unfairness makes me angry and explosive. I try so hard to be polite and refined and well mannered…but if I think something is unfair, I fight. Hard.
