Saturn Transit The Moon (Mine): Guideposts

Astrology in real life

I wrote these blogs about depression today, I am trying to pull my house together. I am depressed about this because if you’ve been reading me awhile then you know I already went through a living hell fixing this house some years ago (and court in regards to that ::rolls eyes) and now I have to do it again.

I also thought the soldier would be here to help me… er, I mean do it for me but as you can see that is not meant to be. He is helping me in the way he can help me (he working hard and sending money) but as far as doing what has to be done, I am on my own… again.

It seems this is my house to fix… this will actually be the 3rd time as I fixed it when I moved here with my daughter when she was a baby and I thank God it is small. If it were larger I don’t think I could bear it, I’d just be overwhelmed. I will be really glad when I am able to leave here but it may be 10 years before I can.

In whatever case I always tell people they will meet Saturn figures during Saturn transits, I am often one of them. Saturn figures are old men, cops, judges, people who have authority over you due their age, experience or education… and Capricorns.

This is 100% guaranteed and if you pay attention to what they say and how they treat you, you’ll have a pretty good idea how you’re doing and what to do next. For example if the judge says, “Come into my courtroom with another DUI and I am going to make you very sorry,” he is probably not kidding. But if you are not chastised, this is also no mistake. Neutral is good during a Saturn transit.

But then there are the Saturn figures who encourage you and if you get this, then you know you are absolutely kicking ass. So guess what just happened?

I hired someone random to do some repairs on my house. I went through Home Depot see, so it could have been anyone. Turns out it was an old man. Just a typical old man, outside of the fact I confided him. I kind of had to.

The condition my house requires some kind of explanation so I offered one… the truth of course, though filtered and in code so he would be able to ignore it and me if he wished. A few minutes later when he put 2 and 2 together, he almost forgot himself and hugged me. But he did not forget himself.

He turned to my son and spent 20 minutes chatting with him about what? Real people vs models. I found this somewhat difficult… accepting his kind manner and guess where satori is?

She is out scanning paint chips with 2 kids in tow so she can make specific recommendations to compensate for my lack of taste. She has a Capricorn Moon, see.

I try to keep things upbeat and engaging around here so people who are struggling have a place to be… sort of like Cheers. I am masterful at creating a diversion (for myself and others) while bad times pass so if you can get something off this, please do.

well I was going to offer to kick asses of people who are mean to you.. but then I realized I could only damage their cars and this probably would not be satisfying for a Scorpio Mars such as yours.

I could however, send the man and thennnnnnnn they’d be sorry!

You two are so cute.

My husband was laid off 4 month ago, hasn’t worked at all in 2 and he has painted every room in this house wih $25 worth of “oops” paint. It how he fights off the depression and it’s really nice to come home to this colorful home after a couple of years of beige.

And this is a total aside, but regarding Saturn returns..I’ve been on Facebook recently, and this past week about 25 friends from high school pop up. I was thinking it was crazy, but as I was driving last night I realized it is a year until my 30th high school reunion … oh wait….it’s just a Saturn return. See,I’m learning.

This is the same house that had the renters some years back isn’t it? Wow - I just thought about that.

Yay for old (Saturn) repairmen and Satori with her Cap moon :-)

Sending you lots of good thoughts, Elsa.

Shannon, yeah. That was a $20,000 repair. The house has never really been the same. I would really like to get out of here, however I don’t think it’s in the cards so…..

My dissertation chair was a Capricorn and he was with me from the first day of the program, as my advisor and comprehensive exam committee chair.

I would have never made it without him (this was a five year process) and he actually had to threaten me one time during the dissertation process that if I didn’t show up more, do more, and communicate with him more, that he would step down as my chair. He was serious, I knew better than to screw around with him.

I showed up, and I graduated with Saturn VERY prominent in T. my chart on the exact date of graduation. My Saturn Mentors, Love them! Also, all my “good” bosses were Capricorn.

I can’t imagine spending $20 000 on a house, Elsa..

Well… you didn’t rent yours to the people I rented mine to. If you have to rebuild you have to rebuild and it adds up. I don’t recall the exact figures though but it sure was painful and I got sued on top of that. When there are holes punched in every door in the house, closets, fences down, gates missing, all flooring is trashed and all cabinet doors have all been ripped from their hinge.. you need a new kitchen and a new bathroom, new appliances, $20,000 doesn’t go very far. I did everything on a shoestring on top of that.

::sigh::

I don’t know why it is hard to understand this plain English sometimes.

I am not going to bother to add things up this time. It’s just too depressing and frankly, I’m not in a position where I can explain. I am just going to do the job and hope like hell, 3 times is the charm.

gah, not to be glib but I understand spending that kind of money on a house. anything major always seems to cost at least $500. there were no gutters on my house and that alone cost $750. you don’t think of gutters being a necessity but without them my front walk was an ice-flow all winter. I was worried some missionary would fall on my steps and sue me. cabinets installed are inordinately expensive. flooring, plumbing, and lighting all require not just materials but professional labor costs. it adds up fast.

the house next door was built a year after mine in about the same market and cost about 1/3 more because they used top of the line materials as opposed to my bargain ones. I used laminate counters, vinyl flooring, plain woodwork– they used granite, wood, custom trim. I have an average house. I don’t think I could replace what Elsa did for 20K. she is amazingly frugal. these things add up fast. forget about the time cost and 20k is still cheap. I’d need to add the cost of therapy on top of that.

Oi.. good luck with it..

When I get my credit card (credit laws where I’m currently domiciled are stringent) I am definitely buying via your amazon link..

When you have to replace every door in your house (including the one on the MAIL BOX) you are screwed.,

My house was built in the 70’s, what was standard then is not standard now. That means if someone punches a hole in a closet door (as my tenants did) you can;’t just go to Home Depot and buy a replacement door. No, you have to re frame the opening. You need carpentry skills…. you need a truck, you need all kinds of things or you need to live with the holes punched all over, have people come over and think what they think?

::shakes head::

If you’re me, living around holes punched in every single wall in the house… in the cabinets… it’s very hard to live in an environment like this and er… write this blog for example, never mind have your kids be able to invite their friends over or anything else you can think of.

I kept their security deposit ($1000) in daze. Did not realize I had to send them a certified letter providing and accounting and CO law provided this oversight entitles them to sue me for 3 times the amount of the deposit, so they did, They sued me for $3000 plus whatever else. They tried to tack on suffering or whatever.

I went to court… with pictures. The judge took one look at them and did the math (because they WERE entitled to $3000). She came up with $20,000 figure now that I recall and asked me if I would like to counter sue for damages… they would wind up owing me $17,000.

I said, no thank you, I will never collect anyway… it is worth it to me to just walk out of here and never have to see these people again in my life.

In whatever case, that was just from looking at pictures. When you actually get into this stuff is when you find out, everything in the house is NON standard…

I understand that repairs / construction add up… I was just saying that I personally couldn’t spend that much on… anything.

I think it’s brave to spend that amount of money on one endeavour… People who don’t have an emphasis on Taurus or Capricorn aren’t going to understand what I mean when I say that.

(And yeah, I realise the Amazon link isn’t much… but it’s the only thing I can do from my current corner of the world)

Anyway.. too add, this is just all a lot worse then most anyone could imagine. And it represents the loss of my hopes and wishes and dreams because I bought this house / moved here when my daughter was 3 months old the future seemed so bright. I just can’t restore things… put them back the way they were because I have run out of resources.

One thing I did add up… I am pretty sure a million dollars has been spent on my daughter’s care over the last 4-5 years. You probably can;t imagine that either, Rob, however it does not change these fact.

If you have ever wanted to feel small and insignificant in this world, you should try being me for just a day.

Well, Rob, I own the house. So I either fix it and live in it or don’t fix it, live on the street but pay off the mortgage??? I don’t see many options.

Sell the trashed house for 10 cents on the dollar and file for bankruptcy? ::shakes head::

Ahh Elsa..I’m doing a big wish here.. cosmic order.. whatever.. that a big hearted team get together and make your house feel like home again, like on the DIY rescue programmes..is there anything like that where you are? Or are you too private for that stuff? I am going to keep visualising your delight as you see your house put to rights. You so deserve that to happen.. Good people are everywhere, sincerely decent folk who would so want to help… I once had rentors who trashed the place and then made life hell for a while, but it wasn’t anywhere as bad as you and thankfully it all turned around and calmed down. Your Pluto to the Moon, then Saturn also at your Moon..ahhh.. as well as the great angst you’ve experienced with your daughter .. it IS a domestic revamp, eh?

I was going through Saturn opp Moon when I first stumbled across Elsa! *lol* And, yes, she’s definitely been my Saturn figure and one I’m extremely grateful for, even when I (stubbornly and rebelliously) ignore what she says.

One day I’ma hafta fix that… ;)
