Today we went out to get something special for Vid’s girl he likes. This is his gal pal from 1st and 2nd grade. The soldier teases his about Belle all the times… says he needs a t-shirt that says I HEART BELLE in pictures. You know. I picture of and eye, a picture of a heart and a picture of a bell. Vid snorts… pays him no mind. It’s Melanie who has his heart now so we went shopping for the girl.

“You have to take the price off that,” I said because he’s a boy. He looked at me as if I were instructing him to breathe or something.

Later, Quirky Aquarian (who believes himself a Love God) came over and who knows what happened but I saw Melanie’s gift had the tag removed and a note attached.

“What does that say?” I asked.

“Mom, it’s my love life,” he said looking completely exasperated,
