Saturn Return in a Composite Chart: Wedding Plans
Astrology in real life
The soldier called last night to tell me he’d been thinking about our wedding which is good because I don’t have the capability. He told me he did not want to be “un-romantic” but he had an idea which was of course super romantic. Let’s face it. The man can plan a mission.
He said he already did the traditional thing… got down on his knee when we were kids so he was not sure if he should do that again or not. He also so said it occurred to him we should get “bands of gold” since that was our song… and we should get them together.
“We broke up together so I was thinking we could put it together, together and we’d be in Tombstone where we’d been before and it would be like everything coming full circle.”
I agreed.
“But I wanted to see how you felt about it because if I don’t get you a diamond, people will say all kinds of crap…about me. That I should have got you a diamond…”
“I don’t know anyone like that. Yeah, I don’t know people like that. I’d rather look at my hand and know it means something. You know how in that movie, that husband gambles his ring? (Queen of Hearts and it’s heart wrenching)I feel like that about wedding rings…”
“Yeah, well it was an idea I had and if we did do this I figured I could get you a diamond later in life but you know. That song. I figured we’d have our bands of gold and we’d be married… and it would just be great, it’s be the best day ever…”
I put Vidroid to bed and he informed me that Quirky Aquarian wants to come to wedding. “Am I going to be invited?”
It struck me as funny, maybe it strikes you as same. Here’s the song. Every time I look at my hand, it will play. Go Freda!

I have friends who will be coming up on 29 years of marriage so does that mean that they have a composite chart with a saturn return happening? Just wondering what that would possibly signify for a married couple?
Wow, the Soldier and I must be on a wavelength because I was wondering what the latest was on the wedding! Vid is definitely funny. Good question though - I wasn’t invited to my dad’s second wedding so I can see why he might think he’d be left out of the grownup shindig.
I love the bands of gold idea! Diamonds are overrated. I have one I might sell and buy a piano - now, that would mean something.
Wow what a beautiful woman!
I wish you would hurry up and get married you’re making me nervous! LOL
<3
Jessica -You reminded me that I didn’t attend my Dad’s second wedding either. Consequently always felt estranged from his second wife and her family ever since. I don’t think Vid will have this problem though!!
Quirky Aquarian wants to come! Heh heh…why is it I like that kid? I mean, I just love the idea that Vid was talking about the wedding with his quirky friend. There’s lots of love and hope being spread around.
danastclr - yes! Full circle for them.
For the record, it was Quirky A who asked about being invited, Vid knows damn well he’s coming even though he get carsick and maureen - I like him too. he;s a nice, very quirky kid who has done something VERY rare - he has actually corrected / changed his lousy behavior. Even Vid’s doc (with his 30 years in the psych biz) had to remark. People with pattern like QA had rarely reverse them but he has and he did!
Vid very much wants us married… he loves love and QA is a Catholic so I bet he’s thinking along those lines. As for attending a wedding, what 10 year old wants to that? But QA would come to ours because guess what? We don’t bore him! We also don’t cling to him, he is free as a bird around here and clearly enjoys it.
“Someone said you were a lovely man,” I said.
“That’s because of what you say about me. If they knew me they’d throw tomatoes.”
I laughed and I thought about arguing that but fact is if you all did know him you probably would want to throw tomatoes right up until the time you figured out he was right.
::ducks::
Congratulations to both of you!
Yay Elsa! Bands of gold sound absolutely romantic ![]()
I love mushy stuff. And real people. And real people being mushy. Isn’t it great? What a difference from the boring, self-absorbed and clueless young’uns getting married for the first time with big rings and overpriced appliances and ridiculous weddings that put them in debt and hello! end up looking like everyone else’s.
Real romance is heartwarming. Ahhh, l’amour!!
Elsa, I am very happy for you and the soldier.
Your story makes my heart sing - and gives me hope.
p.s. I doubt I’d throw tomatoes. ![]()
Aww this is really sweet. I think if it means something to you and him thats all that matters forget whatever one else thinks. I do enjoy these romantic stories between you and the solider. Thankyou for sharing
