Astrology Class Idea… More Like A Clinic
Ask the collective
I had an idea so I’m writing it down here before I forget. What about a class where we focus on and solve the number one problem in your life?
The person with the chart would define the one thing that absolutly dogs them and then I would come out with a “can’t fail if you apply it” map out of there and everyone else could add their imput as well.
What do you guys think? I am pretty sure I can do this. I have not mapped hell for nothing you know!
Any interest or ideas on top of this one?
Thanks!

I am 100% in favor of any class you come up with.
Libra asks: how do you decide (or know) what the #1 problem in your life is?
I agree with Jessica, there’s a little bit of anxiety in trying to pin down that one quintessential problemo.
However, that wouldn’t stop me from being really engaged with a class like this! In fact, I think I would really like it a lot.
Love this. Very cool. Just don’t know that I could come up with the “number one” problem - hmm… but I support it!
I’d be down for the class because I love working with others to help work through the patterns of a chart. I was also interested in the one you mentioned earlier, about how to look at an overall trend in a chart, or some of the key patterns and what they might mean. I always need more help in integrating charts.
sounds good to me..
Sounds like a great plan, though I too would like the class on how to integrate a chart first if possible. I mostly lurked in the last masterclass because I’m no good at putting everything together.
And would probably lurk in the map-of-hell class just because I’ve got too much Libra to nail down ONE problem!
“Libra asks: how do you decide (or know) what the #1 problem in your life is?”
Well it may not be a good idea, LOL. That’s why I put this up here. T
he idea is based on what comes up in consultations. Often there is ONE thing the person can change that has a domino effect. It’s very magical when it happens so it would be appealing I think inspiring if I could get on this bead in this the setting.
I agree - it would be hard to nail down the #1 problem. However… Maybe the question could be not what the #1 problem in life is, but what is the “#1 Problem Person” in one’s life, LOL.
Perhaps this would open up the can of worms and make it easier for the Elsa cure
Off the top of my head I can think of a couple of people in my life whom I have a problem with over something or other. (And no doubt, I myself am part of the problem)

sounds good, I’m there!

Right, so I got told my #1 problem in the last class, for which I am infinitely grateful, but damned if I would have known that before!
The dominoes-falling idea is really elegant (hope I can put that into action!). I think I would love the chart-sing-and-dance first so that I could be a better contributor. That said, you also gotta roll when the creative muse strikes, Elsa! Fire away.
You know, I came here thinking that I wouldn’t know what my number one problem is either, but that’s not true…as soon as I gave it 30 seconds, I realized I CAN narrow it down. So yeah, I think it’s a great idea.
Hey Elsa,
I’m down. Just have to narrow down exactly what I need.
Never mind. I just realized what it is.
this is entertaining and the class has not even started yet! People thinking there is not one thing, and then discovering there is, fascinating! I’ve got so much shit wrong with me I could never pick one thing, but I know what is pissing me off the most today … I’m FAAAAAAAAT!
Damn it I only have like 3 pairs of jeans I can wear and those are fucking uncomfortable! Hysterectomy, you guys never get one if you can help it! I eat and exercise pretty much exactly the same as before, and here I am with all these damn tight fitting jeans, BAH!
What’s so very cool about your idea for THIS class is whatever a person zones as the #1 problem at the momento will elegantly connect/collect energy everywhere else. Elsa, you pointed to one of those ‘elegant’ solutions in our consult … one that I was not seeking. It happened, is happening and like you said about PLUTO IN CAPRICORN (for a good long time 08-25) get the ’suffering’ out there and let the power of collection heal…or is that osmosis? Yipppee…I’m in.
I think that is a great idea Elsa. Count me in!
I feel your pain Loonsounds. I had a c-section 5months ago and omg I have a kangaroo pouch, lol, so when I go out I have a place for lipstick,id, money, cell phone and keys. No purse needed!!! I was curious about weight gain and where that would show in the chart. One class I took a few years ago said that jupiter in the first could cause weight gain, hmmmm….
I’d be interested. Though is it going to be another “only ten lucky people” sort of thing, or what? I dunno how well everyone can apply that.
Frankly I’ll sign up for whatever class you decide to teach. I’m in the crowd who doesn’t necessarily know what their #1 problem is, but I actually think having to define that might be a good start to solving it.
“Though is it going to be another “only ten lucky people” sort of thing, or what?”
This is a problem and we’ve discussed it behind the scenes. It’s a matter of cost. Do we have a low cost class where we work on 10 charts or do we charge (considerably) more and work on everyone’s chart??
“Do we have a low cost class where we work on 10 charts or do we charge (considerably) more and work on everyone’s chart??”
Elsa, maybe do a test run - do 10 people only the first time and see how it goes - get a feel for it, then do it as a regular thang.
That work?
doublecappy, that’s what I did. I made the class low cost and chose 10 charts. I thought it was an excellent value. The class was very cheap by normal standards but if you were one of the people in the class who did not have your chart used as an example… well this is normal.
I mean if you go to a workshop, typically they put a few charts of there, none of them from the group. You look at Mick Jagger’s chart or whatever and learn from that. So while this was much more personal and real life-ish, people who did not get their chart picked wished they would have.
I could have a class where everyone in it gets their chart - we discussed this option but fact is, it would cost a lot more and we were concerned about people being excluded so we chose the route we did.
No chance of multiple classes, with different charts picked for each?
i have a gemini suggestion — how about a 2 tier class. with those wishing their charts discussed paying a premium of some kind. there could be an inexpensive base rate, plus whatever….
I think that’s not a bad idea elsie. But then of course I have Mars in Gemini, so I tend to like Gemnini ideas.
“No chance of multiple classes, with different charts picked for each?”
I chose the charts I chose in order to get a good mix which I think I accomplished. If I had another class, I would do the same thing.. choose the charts that provided the best mix because no one wants to hear things repeated over and over.
“i have a gemini suggestion — how about a 2 tier class. with those wishing their charts discussed paying a premium of some kind. there could be an inexpensive base rate, plus whatever….”
Thanks. HQ suggested this as last time and it may be a good idea. We just threw the dice the way we did because it was simplest. To come up with pricing for one thing. Luck of the draw - everyone an even chance.
I guess with this idea, people who can afford a premium are happy with it, those who cannot, aren’t. This is a difficult issue for me.
For example, my charge for a consultation is very reasonable in comparison to other astrologers and I put my whole heart in. We were talking about this behind the scenes too. Astrologers get jaded. They burned out! So I know I do good work and think sometimes about raising the rate but I want to be accessible to people.
I don’t know what else to say. I really try to help people around here and as many as I can. So that’s that. But your idea might come about… I am really glad you mentioned it and maybe others will weigh in.
You know, I’m one of the ten lucky people from last time and I’m still going to sign up for the classes even though my chart won’t be included this time. Let’s put it this way - if you can afford to pay a premium, why not just pay Elsa or another astrologer for a reading of your own chart? I mean, I’d pay more for these classes anyway, because they ARE an excellent value. But I vote for not splitting the class because it kind of defeats the group spirit, the all-boats-rise idea. I mean some of us have more $ than others, but it would feel better if we were all playing on the same field.
Oh crap! I have been kicked out of classes before for not knowing what my #1 problem is. Your last class was definitely an excellent value!!! I will sign up for the next one too, whether you do the chart for Lawrence of Arabia, Mao Tse Tung or Paul McCartney’s dog.
Ooops my comment may have been eaten. I’m signing up!
I would definitely sign up! I’ll have money soon … I hope! I feel so guilty for having read Elsa so long and not had a consultation or similar
but I’ve always been broke pretty much.
Elsa I just have to say that as much as I love having you read my chart, I’m extremely grateful that I had no pressing need for help during this class. I was very happy to be one of the observers. It was a great value IMO.
i’m such a leftie, but have a capitalist streak. i wasn’t thinking of anything huge as a premium, there would be people all over the spectrum — those that could afford but don’t want their charts used, those who would stretch a bit to have a reading that they otherwise couldn’t afford. those who just had the price of admission and those who could buy and sell the lot of us. you know, the usual suspects, lurkers and narcissists. i’m both. ![]()
i know your advice has been incredibly invaluable, and it’s pushing the edge of what i can afford to pay right now (but worth it!)
if i had the time, i would love to be part of a class like that.
or the other one, really, just go through and read… finishing up the semester (teaching & taking classes + the rest of my life makes for a very busy wyrdling) but might still want to go browsing through it sooner or later. still, a live one would probably be more fun ![]()
Oh, I definitely know what my #1 problem is, and it doesn’t have anything to do with men or relationships or partnering. It’s freaking figuring out what I want to be when I grow up!
The #2 problem is why the heck I married a Capricorn when I am the most laid back person I know, but that’s not as pressing as the flipping career issue.
I loved the first class, and I’ll definitely be in for Round 2!
I would definitely sign up for this class. I did have my chart chosen in the last class, and it was great, but that wouldn’t stop me from signing up for another class. Elsa’s analysis, along with the class discussion, was extremely interesting.
Love the idea and I would go!
