Astrology in real life
I just finished my astrology class. I really liked it. I enjoyed it immensely and I am going to do another one in January.
It’s been a long time since I read a chart in public and I think I ought to get back to it. I used to read charts at parties. I was the entertainment… I would just throw up a chart and blah blah. I think I am sort of born for this.
I feel like Annie Oakley, throw the chart up and Bam! Bam! Bam! She put on a show, see? It was a demonstration.
In whatever case, I just want to say it went well and I am greatly relieved. The last time I did this was in 2003 and it was such a horrible experience (for me)… well I haven’t bothered to do it again for 5 years.
The fact I suffered during that first class was my own fault and I am just really happy to be able to report I solved all the problems and this class was grand from my perspective.
As for the next class, I will have to come up with an angle, or perhaps someone else will have an idea. I would also like to figure out how some of the new stuff that came out of this class might be incorporated into this blog but have no clear ideas on that front yet.
In whatever case, the class is done and I am back around full-time for whatever that means.

I enjoyed the class immensely and I thought the charts chosen were great! Each spoke to me in specific ways that applied to me.
I also feel I have found a sister from one in particular and so I thank you deeply for that!
I am so interested in synastry and I was hoping at some point in the future you might consider a class concerning that area of Astrology.

Thanks everyone, my thought at the gym was that I should do a basic astrology class. Not Venus in Aries is blah blah, but a class for people who know all that stuff (or where to find the info) but still can’t get a chart to gel… to stand up and dance and talk to them.
Er… a class on synthesizing what you know.
So that occurred to me… also synastry and I will definitely do another class like this one just because relationships are so freakishly important (at least to me).

I definitely enjoyed the class but wish I had come in with a lot more knowledge of astrology. A class on synthesizing would be PERFECT, actually, as this is the part I do not do well. I know the meanings of the planets, aspects, signs and houses, but for some reason, synthesizing just escapes me!
I look forward tot he next class - whatever it may be.

The synthesis class will happen because it is teaching itself in my head since I thought of it and obviously I am going to have to rid myself of it!

Good! It would be a lot more “teachy” too. I would be trying to give you a method to read a chart. Demystify it? And there would be questions addressed to the class where people would or could offer apply their skills and hone them.
I loved the class. Even if my chart hadn’t been selected I still learned a little something from each of the other charts. You are so talented when it comes to understanding the human condition; and your way of articulating it is second to none!
Love the idea of questions being asked. Really get down to the nity gritty and allow for people to take away something specific that they can use on their own charts or for others. I think more people would pitch in with answers to questions too.
Thoroughly enjoyed your class Elsa, learned so much and look foward to the ongoing analysis on each chart and your new class in January. Thank you so much.

A “chart reading class” would be the most awesome astrology class ever. You are right - we can find out what Planet in Sign/House, or aspects mean - this information is everywhere in books and online, but reading a Chart as a living entity, this is hard, and requires special skill and lots of experience … I can’t wait for your “chart reading method”!!! thank you!
I am swamped with ideas about this now. I am also supposed to finish writing about Candy’s baby talking and her huge breasts.
“How to read a chart without boring people to death” is EXACTLY what I need. I have a pretty solid understanding of the basics and a bit beyond but I have a really hard time translating it to people who don’t speak astrology. It’s frustrating because I don’t have that problem when I read cards. I can make a tarot deck sing and dance.

I want to thank you for the class. I loved it! I could relate to most every chart and see myself in the women.
I would definitely be interested in the new class. I too need help putting it all together, I know the basics but I want to know how the planets speak to each other with the different aspects and in different houses. Anything you do the class on would be great I am sure. You have a knack for speaking the chart.

How funny…all during this last class I kept thinking “but how do I learn to see the big picture, but then break it down.” I teach reading and I see these kids that can read each word, but can’t see the beauty in the language yet…I feel a bit that way about charts.
Elsa- I really enjoyed the class and learned a lot! Your style of teaching works very well for me. Satori’s pictures were great! I like that I can go back and look at the charts and comments when I have more time. This is a great format for learning more about astrology and I am looking forward to the next class.
