Regarding the bawdy astrology class…
What will the class be about?
Relationships! Love relationships primarily but also partnering in general. Many people struggle with this and it’s my feeling that with Pluto going into Capricorn, people are going to want to solve these problems like they never have before.
What specifics will be covered?
Some people are inhibited by a generalized problem (like shyness or fear) while others function well in some areas but consistently come up short when it comes to establishing or maintaining a relationship. Other people are in relationship but still feel a lack and these are the things I want to focus on. Identify the problem, isolate and solve it.
Is this a class on synastry… the astrology of relationships?
No. We will not be looking at the interaction between two people. The focus will be on the individual because the more you know about yourself and you own complexity, the easier it is appreciate that other people are in the same predicament and this is a sure path to improved relationships of all kinds.
How much will the class cost? Where will it be held?
$35. It will be hosted on a xanga blog using their protected posting feature. If you don’t have a xanga account you will have to sign up for one which takes about 3 minutes. Once you have your account and I have added your username to the account you will be able to access all the posts and comments. I expect the content to be robust.
How long will the class last?
The class will last 10 days, open all night. But if it goes as I expect there will be a lot of interaction and things will gel. Relationships will form and I am hoping the class continues in the comments indefinitely. I am hoping the people in the class will share with each other and continue to update each other on their progress in other words… make friends!
Also in the future when people ask questions I have addressed at length in this class, I am going to refer them to it means someone new can come on board, start to comment and bring the whole thing back to life.
What can I expect to get for my money?
I will do my best work and I will be as entertaining as possible but not at the expense of being effective. Because this is not meant to be some fluffy thing, but a class where you come away with your hair blown back thinkin’ ‘Jeez, I’m glad I did that!” I want people to come away with something of value… extreme value if possible so this will be my goal.
Will I be expected to participate… give my birth data or name?
If you would like to offer your chart to be used in the class you can. If you want to just lurk, you can. If you want to participate, reveal or conceal your identity, you can. All of this is up to you. The only rule will be that you treat others with respect. After all this is a class on how to get along with others (while being an individual).
How can I pay?
You can pay for the class via paypal. Please send your xanga username with your payment to make this easier behind the scenes. There is a space set up to do this on the payment page, please don’t forget.
If you would like to toss your chart in the hat for the class (no guarantees) please email the data (date, exact time and city) to askelsa@gmail.com along with whatever notes you want to make. Your notes can be brief as in one sentence or lengthy.
How many charts will you choose and how will you choose them?
I will choose 10 charts from the group. My criteria for choosing which charts to use will be whatever will work together to make the best product. In other words - Variety! I will want to cover as much as possible and avoid being repetitive or boring ala, “Yet another control freak…”
I want people to leave the class smarter and will increased skills on many levels so I don’t care who you are or even if I know who you are. I will be looking for good for a mix of charts that will surprise, entertain and teach. You know… my usual. Someone who needs kid gloves. Someone who needs a hammer… you get the idea.

When will the class start?
We will allow a week for everyone who wants in to get in and then start the class. Once you’ve paid and I’ve added your username to the list, ya’ll can get in there and introduce yourselves… or not. Mingle or hang out in the rafters, this is a come one, come all situation. A zombie jamboree!

Jessica, I don’t know. I have done this before and I just put up the blogs each day or a few times a day and it was very lively. No video at that time and I am not really planning that although I wouldn’t rule it out.
Er… my plan is I have no plan, seat of my pants like I said. Basically it will be a closed blog focused on understanding dynamics in relationships and more specifically resolving them so that our lives are better.
You can also check the comments on the original blog… I was brainstorming then and everything I said still holds.
Is there a work study option? Any boring stuff you don’t want to do that I can do in exchange for tuition?
I’d like to attend, but frankly, I’m broke as a $2 Rolex…

Sorry I’m kinda dumb when it comes to paypal. I have a paypal account in which I’ve used to have $$ deposited in from selling things on ebay; but I’ve never used it to buy things with. It’s linked to my savings account, so I don’t know how that works. My balance in Paypal as of right now is ZERO I think. Do I have to withdraw $35 from my savings and put it into Paypal or what??
O.K. nevermind, I figured it out. But now I have to wait 3-5 business days!! 
Is the 10 days thing concentrated to the end of November/beginning of December, or is it just 10 days per person?

That’s a good question! I have not written the class yet so I don’t really know. My writing will probably be pretty easy to follow and get something from just because I will be focused on problems people have in relationship that are broadly relevant. I don’t tend to speak in heavy astrologese, however I am sure others in the class will so a fair number of the comments might go over your head.
One thing in favor of taking the class is access will be access so as you gained more knowledge you could go back to it. You also (if you are studying) could look up the stuff you don’t understand when somethings come up that interests you. Basically, you could pick and choose. Say we’re talking about something not pertinent to you - you could let that pass, come back to it later while diving in the thing that does interest you..

in answer to the question, i’d encouarge the questioner to sign up. elsa’s first class i knew very, very little astrology and did NOT understand the planetary talk, but did understand the info gained from it. it’s also a very helpful way to learn. you see X aspect mentioned, you go to check your chart to see how it might play for you.
I’m still trying to just get my husband to look at your site. I’ll bug him more tonight and maybe he’ll look and we’ll get in on this class. I think it sounds awesome.
I think any level of astrologer would benefit from interaction in the class and would begin to absorb astrological principles fast because it will be fun. You have to start somewhere.
Well, just signed up. Though it just occurred to me that I’ll probably miss half of the days to participate (i.e. out of town/country/no net access) for the latter halfves of the next two weeks. DAMMIT STUPID TIMING!

I am already having fun in Xanga in there linked to this class and linking into new friends from here and posting pictures. Now I pictured today some photos of my hands (Mars in Gemini, typing prolific) in these really kewl fingerless hot- pink zebra striped gloves I got, and I also even typed something. This is fun already and we didn’t even start yet.
Hey Elsa, do I have to read that syllabus thingy? Its so loooooong…..kindly, will you please tell me if there is anything in there that I really need to know? Like a rule, if there is a rule or something in there, then I don’t want to miss it, otherwise, I want to skip the syllabus and just jump right into the class…one of my versions of academic freedom! Wheeee!
saggal - No, it’s not too late to join. We are starting on Wed, and even then it won’t be too late to join because the material will be there until the end of time. All you’ll have to do is come in and read - join in and comment if you like.
Loonsounds - you don’t have to do a damned thing! There will be rules but they will be simple:
No flaming
And I think I am going to ask people to stay on topic in the comments on the class blogs once the class starts so that people who don’t like chat will not have to filter through a bunch of back and forth talking.
There is a chat board there and I will be asking people to use it for off topic stuff.
Really, this is all there is to know. It is my job to do everything else and I plan to do my job with aplomb. After all, my name is on the damned thing!
