I was talking to Ben about how I’ve changed in the last couple years due what I have gone through with my daughter and my association with the soldier. Ben is life long friend… 10th house Scorpio Sun with an Aquarius rising.
“But I’m happy,” I said. “I am happy.”
“You’re either happy or you’re in a snit,” he said.
I thought a second. “That’s pretty much it, isn’t it?”
“Yep. If I’m not happy it’s because I’m in a snit. Got my panties in a wad. Got to get those panties unhinged, they’re riding right up my crack…”
Could it be this simple?

If it is that simple, then my last snit (AKA my clinical depression) lasted about twelve years.
Well, clinical depression is another matter. But for many if not most, it is this simple though it may not be PC to say so.
I do kind of see that in myself since I’ve begun to get out of the hole, actually, though when I’m not in a snit I still wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m happy. Maybe my baseline of happiness is just not very high? Could be.
This whole piece made me giggle because I see myself in it! I am always either happy or in a snit. At the moment, I’m 78% happy. 22% of me is in a snit over one thing or another.
For me, this is a better ratio than I’ve had for years!
Perpetual snit. Too much Saturn.
I was on the cross-trainer by the front window, my legs shaking, tired as shit, and as a truck whipped into the parking spot three feet in front of me I realized there’s a third option: too tired to care if it stops.
not me, I’m happy a lot, and I’m in a snit sometimes, but I have a lot of moods… not bad moods, just moods… playful, agitated, huffy, amped up…. whatever

I love a good snit sometimes.
I’ve been working hard to avoid snits lately. I do experience some level of depression some of the time but it isn’t that I’m necessarily sad. Just everything drops a level or too while I remain aware that there is plenty to be grateful for. I rarely feel hopeless and always know that any suffering is temporary.
Oh no! The panties again! Here is a little something from a Taurus who doesn’t get it. Say like with a thong, it is not comfortable, and the only positive use I have gotten out of a thong is to turn it around and wear it backwards, that way you can go through the day feeling naughty, excited, perverted and all those other fun things. Way better than snits I guarentee it.

Regarding Snit vs Happy: I am happy most of the time these days. What snits I do have are brief -one good rant and I’m usually back on track. I used to Stew (obsess) while in a Snit, but for some reason it doesn’t last like it used to - thank God - maybe the things that used to put me in the Snits are resolving themselves.
And Loonsounds, I’ll be looking for your new book, “Alternative Uses for the Thong,” or “How to Avoid a Snit and Smile All Day Long Instead.”
Allergies are hitting me bad this season, and all I want to do is curl up and/or sleep. If anyone disturbs me when I feel like this, I snap. This mood never lasts, though. When I feel energized again, you can’t stop me.
