I was running through my gabillion drafts and realized I had this other point to make on the whole subject of squandering talent.
Now the soldier and I know someone who is very talented. This gal was born blessed with little deficit and profound opportunity. She also enjoyed supreme support from a variety of high quality sources, way beyond the norm.
Not only was every single shred of this squandered, the resources were employed to do damage. This gal wreaked as much havoc as possible, motivated by pure greed and without remorse.
To witness this was galling. It’s like it would turn your hair a new color or something… things like this are just not supposed to happen, sort of like toes falling right off your feet but it did.
And as a case in point, I asked the soldier from his perspective and/or theories in regards to past life, just exactly what occurs with a person like this and he said very simply they come back. They come back with the same job they were supposed to do the time before except this time they’ve got none of the advantages they had before. None of the advantages but plenty of deficits. He’s just so clear on this - you don’t get away with this stuff. So compare this gal to someone else - Paul Newman.
Paul Newman had it all. He had looks, opportunity, enormous talent(s) and on top of all that he had love. It appears he squandered none of this.
Now provided there are future lives to be lived what you go imagine these two have to look forward to? And where is your Jupiter (if you know)

Morning Elsa, wondered if this was a bit like Dan Millman describes - life lessons are easy if you make an effort to learn them - but when you don’t, they get harder and harder. Sometimes resulting in fairly big shocks in order to get you to pay attention. Maybe, this is applicable to past/future lives too…
Re Jupiter - its in Gemini in the 10th, and is the focal point of my t-square, and sat atop (kite shape) of a watery grand trine.

I always did like Paul Newman and Joanne as models of all the good that could be.
My Jupiter is in Aquarius at 7degrees exactly conjunct my descendent.
I find it confusing as an astrologer once told me having a good marriage / relationship is a birth-right of mine - but I have been alone for years. All I can think about at the moment is the fact I have to find reemployment.
I spent much of my youth helping the family and others - maybe not enough for me. I do try to help without attachment- I don’t expect anything back, and I try very hard not to be a busy body. Then I let it go.

“Astrologer” is like “Car”. You have your piece of shit and you have your Lamborghini and that’s all there is to it.

jupiter’s on the midheaven in the ninth/gemini. i’m trying my best to follow that. which, being gemini, is very scattered and difficult for my virgo ascendant to make sense of 
i just hope that eventually the puzzle pieces will start fitting together…
i’ve worked in bookstores, libraries, collected market data, wrote for a newspaper, and done various kinds of teaching… i imagine things will continue to remain varied… there’s something in me that rebels at doing the same thing all the time. must be that gemini that i can’t see very well with my virgo myopia

Well, my jupiter is in the fifth house in Taurus. I’ve always had very deep creative impulses but the problem is this: Saturn in the second house, venus, in the eighth and opposing neptune. It’s a tsquare with Jupiter at the apex.
I didn’t exactly squander anything, but it has been hard as hell to work out from under that thing. I’m like a horse that looks fantastic at the starting gate, but the returns are always less than expected.
Jupiter R. in 3rd - I really like to write but have no success at it, the way that I want at least :p Maybe in a past life everything I would write would turn to “gold” or maybe I used my writing skills to manipulate others (it trines pluto in 11th and sextiles neptune). Plus it opposes mercury and squares mars and ascendent.
All I now is that, after years, still no success. Well, maybe it will came when I’m older… like 80 or something lol.
