Astrology Today… And Tomorrow: Grace, Hardship and Grand Design
My eye on the sky
There is a lot of reality out there. This Moon, Venus, Jupiter conjunction in Capricorn, all trine Saturn is something else.
Jupiter and Venus are thought to bring benefit in astrology. Though Jupiter is in the sign of its fall in Capricorn it is still Jupiter. The Moon is in detriment in Capricorn but with Venus in this pile and the trine from Saturn, I still get a feeling of the reality being “good for you”.

Open Question: What Do You Believe About Love?
Astrology in real life
We were watching a football movie last night… no idea what it was about. It began with a date on the screen.. 1970.
“I was playing football in the 70’s,” the soldier said.
“Yeah? I was the girlfriend of a football player in the 70’s,” I said. My high school life flashed through my mind in seconds. “Oh my God!” I said with complete sincerity and no idea where the thought came from. ‘What would I have done if I met you back then and I already had a boyfriend?”

Pluto In Capricorn: “The Culmination Of My Parenting”
Astrology in real life
Today the soldier had me pull up a music file, it is a recording of a duet he played with his son. The soldier’s son (besides being a soldier) is a concert violinist and the soldier plays the guitar. The song they recorded together is, Ashokan Farewell. Well played the song is deeply moving, its haunting and listening to it left us both in tears.
“Did you ever think back when we were kids, I’d have a son and he’d play the violin with me? Can you believe it, P? This is the culmination of my parenting.”
Pluto in Capricorn is a powerful father… for good or ill. In this case… well I am sure you can guess my opinion.
Do you feed your kids from the root to empower them? Now is the time.

Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra (With Mars Involved): Living With Genius - It Ain’t Easy!
Astrology in real life
The other day the soldier and I were debating something - Politics.
“I’m speaking from a position of knowing,” he said.
“And Iiiiiiiiii am as always, as per my usual, I am speaking from a position of not knowing. My position is based on my ignorance and stupidity,” I said smugly with my head cocked.
He stared with an eyebrow raised and I looked at him blankly.
The next day more debate.
“How do you do it?” I asked. “How do you discuss things like this with one who knows so little?” I challenged.

Evel Knievel And The Expectations Of The Public
Astrology in real life

Yesterday I was working on various things, the blog, the class, the dispatch and the house while the soldier was watching a biography of Evel Knievel on TV. I’d have been watching it with but most of you know I grew up without a TV and have never acquired the habit or even a mild fondness for it but I do love the soldier so every now and then I’d sit next to him and watch a few minutes.
Evel Knievel was a piece of work to say the least. His daredevil nature is unparalleled as is his shocking bluntness (Jupiter in Aquarius in the 1st house). Knievel was a violent man. He beat women and he also beat a studio executive with a baseball bat. His attorney wanted him to plea but he refused. Matter of fact he said he did the man a favor by beating him.

Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra (With Mars Involved): “You’re Going To Win”
Astrology in real life
The soldier and I have an ongoing dialogue about who slides the blankets, the sheets and ultimately the mattress itself off the bed. He says I roll around all night. I say I’ve never had a this kind of problem until I started sleeping with a rhinoceros. And then we go back and forth, you do it, no you do it, P, you’re the one who does it…

Astrology, Women, The Moon And The Heat In The Kitchen
Ask the collective
I once heard of a woman who was disliked because when she attended a large family gathering with her boyfriend, she went outside to be with the men rather than staying in the kitchen with the women. This ran counter to the culture of the family. The men resented her presence and the women hated her and I thought it was an interesting puzzle.

Attracted To Aries - Raw Male Energy
Astrology in real life
Today in my astrology class we’re working with a woman who is attracted to male energy. She has Venus and Jupiter in Aries in the 7th house and she is just drawn to men over women - period.
Now my son is in a similar circumstance. He has his Sun, Moon and Ascendant all in Venus-ruled signs and badly wants to partner. Seeing as he has tried to partner with girls since he was 4, I would say he’s heterosexual, however he has Jupiter and Mercury in Aries in the 7th house and that he is attracted to male energy is a fact that cannot be denied.

Sun, Mercury Mars Conjunction in Sagittarius: The O’Jays- Back Stabbers
Outtakes and various other sundries
This is for pure amusement. The soldier loves Motown and we were listening to this tonight - a classic. It made me think of the Sun Mars, Mercury conjunction in Sagittarius. Just look how happy they are singing about being stabbed! And they are (Sun) stars of course. Enjoy!
