I was dropping Vidroid at the bus stop this morning all disheveled courtesy narcotic drugs. Pulling up at the curb I mindlessly told him to have a great day only to have him laugh out loud.
“I’m so old and you still call me such stupid names,” he said.
“Stupid names? What did I call you? Did I just call you a name?”
“Sugar,” he said, rolling his eyes with an amused grin. “It’s okay, Mom. It’s not stupid. That’s not a stupid name.”

Well, as long as we’re in the car. But what kills me is he’s all OLD at 9 years old, plus I say these word not conscious of them..
oh, my kid’s probably going to have to put up with “sweetie” and “darling” well into his teens if not later
