Open Question: Astrology And Halloween: What Will You Dress As?

Ask the collective

Frankenstein and brideThe soldier is going to be Frankenstein for Halloween and I will be Bride Of Frankenstein, his idea. I figure we’ll be natural based on this conversation last year, I Hate Being Informed Like This. The funny thing is I have never seen that movie, so I guess I will be dressing on faith… such a Venus Neptune thing.

What will you be for Halloween and how does it suit your chart?

I always decide at the last minute and then go as whatever I can construct out of my closet.

This has meant variously being a witch (all black, dollar/convenience store hat and straw broom), school girl (uhm, for most of my early to mid twenties), and last year since I was fresh back from the czech republic I brought absinthe with me for the hosue party and so decided to go as the green fairy (My wings confiscated for flying under the influence . . Everyone has a flowy green silk skirt lying around right? and a matching corset? And a headband with birds on it? It was purple but eveyrone knows that purple and green are complimentary.) Its beginning to occur to me that my regular wardrobe might be a bit peculiar.

I’m either going to buy wings and repeat last years costume, or get myself some shiny white latex boots and go as a a rockstar (I already have a shiny white latex 1/2 trench coat, a very short black dress and a white belt with metal stars all over it). In a pinch instead of white latex boots I could just wear my leopard print boots. They’re fuzzy.

Venus in the 12th. Even I don’t know what I’m wearing. Hahahahhahahahhahaha.

I do not think I am dressing up but I like being a pirate or a dragon. I am a leo with a cap moon and gemini venus in the tenth. Lots of shiny jewels or scales, animal print, dragging tails or boots. I can see how that fits.

My BFF and I are going as Daphne (her) and Velma (me). Her BF is going to be Shaggy. I think it’s very me (not that far of a stretch at all): cute and brainy.

I usually dress up as a glamorous witch or gypsy. I love how at halloween we can “come out” as ourselves and no one knows the better… .

I am going as Minnie Mouse as a witch. Mainly because I found an amusing witch hat with ears and bow while in Florida.

This will be funny for two reasons:
(a) with regards to the work party, my Big Boss is Disney-obsessed
(b) after work, I have a Samhain gathering/birthday party for witches to go to.

I figure the outfit will do double duty.

Has NOTHING to do with my astrology though, I think…

My costumes have run the gamut from Cleopatra to a pin-up girl. I love anything beautiful and classy, with an undercurrent of sexy. Makes sense, I’m Scorpio with Libra Rising.

I need to come up with a good one so I’ll be checking here for ideas. :)

I did Medusa successfully two years in a row. Libra/Scorpio too - I could rock a Cleopatra outfit, I think.

I don’t dress up for Halloween, except the usual witch’s formal wear for the Samhain Soiree. I have a great witch hat with black tulle and red lace ribbons.

Madeline - I love the gypsy costume too.

And yes, people do reveal more of who they really are at Halloween than at other times!

I’ve always wanted to dress up as the little Mermaid, complete with a little lobster friend in tow :)

Aww Wow, Im from australia so we dont celebrate this holiday but if I was to ever dress up as something I love to go as Catwomen or a little devil in a litte red dress.I suppose that suits me being a scorpio. I think the last time I dressed up was when I was 12 for a school book fair, I went as Wednesday Adams.

I have a sis-in-law who is a seamstress and made me this killer Goddess costume a couple of years ago. It came complete with shear gold cape which attached at the shoulders and draped over my head. I def pull off the venus look with my curves and tons of blondes curls but I need a new look this year. My BF (Scorpio sun and rising with a Gemini moon) wants me to go as a naughty goth girl. Go figure huh? He, however, won’t dress up. I told him he should go as an ‘agent’ -FBI, CIA, Secret Service, whatever - ya know, watchful, discreet and menacing? LOL! He actually found that quite funny and looks at me sometimes like he can’t believe I’ve figured him out. ;o)

A flapper. I got a cool hat at a garage sale last week and I’m going to make the dress out of the fabric scrap heap.

12th House Neptune: I like to get wasted and pretend my problems aren’t real. My SO is the same thing every year: the Grim Reaper (I can’t see capricorn buying a new costume every year, can you)?

Oh, and last year I was a dead Victorian:

(except the 8th House Leo needed gold face instead of white)

And the year before that I performed as a witch at a local event but…HUH! I see I did the gold face thing again! Oh dear!

Venus-Saturn conjunct. I usually don’t dress up. Sometimes I put on preppy clothes on Halloween and tell people I’m wearing a Republican costume. But I need to get a flag pin to complete the look.
