“Yeah, I went in the steam room today and the whole thing was full. There was just wall to wall mf’ers and there was some guy lying down in there.”

“Yeah, he was just stretched out, no place for me to sit.”
“What did you do?”
“I went over to him, stood over his like this,” he said with his feet apart and his hands on his hips. “You comfortable?”
I roared. “What did he do?”
“Oh, he got his ass up like this, all looking round like who me?” He looked around as if he were bewildered. “Dumb ass. What the hell is wrong with these people, guy lays down in there and other men come in and go stand in the corner because there is nowhere to sit. I don’t get it, P. I just don’t get what people are thinking. Get your ass up, son of a bitch! That’s what I’m thinking.”

Aaahhh a man with old fashioned manners. How refreshing. I wish more people would SAY things like this. Maybe I really like social boundaries. Maybe that’s just me. I’m, in general, a live and let live type but that really means that a lot of people take advantage of the fact that our society doesn’t have a bunch of grannys running around tut-tutting at really rude behavior.
Yup, he’s a Southerner all right. 
We take that kind of rudeness seriously, complete with social condemnation and a stern talkin’-to from momma/grandma if they find out.
