The soldier is out in the garage again, rattling around in stuff the Taurus / Scorpio had managed to hold on to for 30 or 40 years. He came in with a spiral notebook dating to the early 80’s.

“I found this,” he said.

He flipped through the pages, they were covered in calculations. Yep. Pieces of math and diagrams on every page and in the middle of all this, some text.

“This is the song I wrote you after we broke up. This is the original, when I first wrote it,” he said, handing to me. We’ve been fighting you know. Yesterday.

And I’ve heard the song. He’s sung it to me a few times, he’s got it memorized but somehow the words on the page hit me as stark. He’s cold in the song. He’s cold and I’ve got a shadow outside my door and I am just here to remind you of what emerged last week: Love is not enough.

If you don’t mind your love, care for it and protect it, this is hard cold proof of what can happen to you and it’s another reason I won’t be tolerating people who want to come around here and undermine my relationship with their cock-blocking hijinks. It’s hard enough not to spill over the apple cart and lose your love as it is. No sense allowing people to fire on ya.

This makes me think about how difficult it is for me to tell other people when my relationship is rough-going.
Maybe this is another expression of Venus/Neptune.
I have Venus/Neptune/Saturn in a Grand Trine and I find it next to impossible to admit when things are rough going.
I think I did that once on here a long time ago and my SO was basically called an asshole- I find that hard to swallow.
I love who I love who I love-I’m a Taurus- and when that happens I just basically shut down. ‘Right, I know better than to talk about that again.’
I guess I feel like if you call my lover an asshole you’re calling me an asshole in some weird way.

I appreciate the attitude of ’screw the naysayers.’ I feel like I trust my judgement in people enough I avoid any possible interference by refusing to talk about the hard stuff.

However I’m learning through my (long term and trusted) friends that it helps THEM if I talk about it. Sounding boards and what not, I guess?

Those good for the situation? Maybe you could counter negative judgements on your relationship from strangers by Mercury-enforcers? Could find quotes you like, or come up with some gems of your own. Of course, maybe that’s just not your style, because… And so, it loops… Look back to first saying. ^_^
