Something Nice For All These Planets In Libra: Spread Some Love

Outtakes and various other sundries

crafty.jpgI just popped over to a gal’s blog… I have known her online since 2001. I have seen her go through all sorts of changes over the years.  I have seen her love and lose and agonize. I have seen her experiment, broadcast, travel. get tattooed and now it appears she has lost thirty pounds and is learning to dance!

Meet Shannon, aka Craftygirl  She’s one of my favorite internet people. She always shows up when you need her, she’s never is a pain in the ass, I have never her seen her be mean to anyone, anywhere at anytime and look she’s got me linked!!

Shannon, thanks for being a kick ass everything and to the rest of you, how about profiling / linking someone you like or appreciate on this Internet thing we’ve got here.

Come on people, spread some love!

An acquaintance from work, who had the worse teeth I’ve ever seen in my life (health/cosmetic/you name it) Just had all his teeth pulled…and replaced with veneers.

They were paid for by his lawyer client, for whom he has been delivering for many years. My friend is about 45, so this really has been life changing for him.

    YAY, SHANNON!
Yeah, I started reading Shannon because I loved the comments she left on Elsa’s Xanga.
Actually, I’ve “met” a lot of people that way. *lol* :D
I’ll be back later with some links.

    Oh my god.

    Wow, Elsa, thanks!!!!

I’ma hafta post more now ….. heheheheh!

Oh, for generally cool people - someone I met through Second Life who has expanded my music collection greatly. I will link her last.fm page if I can, but her name is Jen and she’s just one of those people who puts happy energy into the world, you know?

    link is here
    http://www.last.fm/user/JenNoel

The man who teaches my tango classes is another one who is just amazing and wonderful and cool. He is patient and kind and outgoing and sunny and I just can’t say enough wonderful things about Vladi. I’ll link you to him too - he maintains a local tango resource website. (You know there had to be some dancing in here!)

http://www.tangoafficionado.com The website is having issues at the moment, but I verified that’s the address. There’s a photo site, as well, if you wanna see lots of pictures of happy people dancing. http://tangoafficionado.fotki.com/ You can see some of Vladi’s parties in there, too.

I hope my links hold, but I put the full addresses in just in case. There’s my first part of sharing the love … so many cool people in the world, I wanna link ‘em all!

  7. Shannon says on 9/3/08 at 10:22 am:

Oh man. I just posted a whole long comment with linkage and I don’t see it. I’ll come back and check in a bit, and repost if I need to. I’m hoping the internets are just being fickle.

My friend Jessica has a memoir coming out next year. She has been working hard & deserves some success.

Her husband Mickey draws cartoon stories on his blog that crack me up.

I’ve been offline for a few days, since I evacuated in front of Hurricane Gustav.

I like the Barmaid Blog: http://barmaidblog.livejournal.com/

I wish my friend Susan blogged more:

Becca! Nice to see you safe and sound :) Are you home now?

  11. Becca says on 9/4/08 at 1:39 pm:

Kashmiri, I’m home safely, but I lost my cat on the way home. He got out of the car and ran away when I stopped for lunch. :-(

  12. kashmiri says on 9/4/08 at 1:59 pm:

Oh no! That’s so sad :(
    Does he have a microchip?

  13. Becca says on 9/4/08 at 2:28 pm:

No, no chip. He didn’t have a collar on, either, so no ID tags. Just an unmarked black kitty lost in the woods in rural Mississippi.

My next pet, should I get one, is SO getting microchipped.

  14. kashmiri says on 9/4/08 at 3:50 pm:

I’m so sorry, Becca. That sucks.

  15. SaDiablo says on 9/4/08 at 5:23 pm:

((((Becca)))) I’m sorry you lost your kitty. :(

Finally not feeling blah for the first time since this showed up and I’ve gotten over my weird sense that I’m invading people’s privacy by linking them. So I’m here to add my list. :)
Besides Elsa, Shannon, and kasmiri (the link’s in her name, yo!), these people bring me up all the time, and I’ve never met a single one of them in person. :D They are:

Feith (http://www.xanga.com/ivymoon), who makes me smile and giggle constantly

A whole family that I read, Mama-san (http://www.xanga.com/travelerblue), daughter (http://www.xanga.com/BoureeMusique), and son (http://www.xanga.com/ninmaniac87) — they’re just awesome, awesome people and help me remember to see the good in people

SuSu (http://www.xanga.com/SuSu), as Kris also mentioned, is an amazing lady with a fabulous life story and also helps keep me posted on politics

Leonidas (http://www.xanga.com/Leonidas), who always keeps me informed on political happenings and asks interesting questions

Daffodilious (http://www.xanga.com/Daffodilious) takes stunning pictures and makes me laugh nine times out of ten

LuckyStars (http://www.xanga.com/LuckyStars) also takes stunning pictures and makes my heart expand

Meg (http://www.xanga.com/luckyhonu and http://www.xanga.com/mezamashii) is one of the most feelingest people I’ve ever had the privilege to know, I could snuggle the stuffing out of her!

Smarticus (http://www.xanga.com/Smarticus) is a fabulous mom, a bad-ass chef, and an awesome politico. Plus, she’s so funny she makes drinks come out my nose!

Freekycheek (http://www.xanga.com/freekycheek) is driven, hard-working, and a wonderful mom. She reminds me that people with horrible childhoods can transcend

These comics keep me sane, as well:
    Dinosaur Comics (http://www.qwantz.com/)
Natalie Dee ( !!WARNING, may be offensive!! http://www.nataliedee.com/ and http://www.marriedtothesea.com/)
    and Partially Clips (http://www.partiallyclips.com/pclipslite.php)

And that, my friends, is my gratitude list for the day. ;)
