Astrology Today - The Obvious That Is Only Obvious To Crazies Like Me

My eye on the sky

aquariusI continue to struggle with the current sky. There is a stellium in Libra alongside Saturn conjunct the Sun in Virgo and while it may not be obvious, it is obvious to me these two configurations are not compatible so what does that means?

It means you will either embody the conflict yourself or more likely, you will play one character and have someone else play the other.

The Virgo character is stern and discerning. It Knows.

The Libra character tells you what you want to hear, claims to see both sides but you better damn well be on theirs unless you want some motherfucking unpleasantness. Both characters are controlling.   Virgo is afraid and Libra refuses to see more than the surface… wants to put a damned doily on every little scratch and if you ask me, neither of these characters are very appealing yet we are all acting them or acting alongside them in one way or the other.

I don’t know the answer to this outside of what my old pal, Sarah and I used to say to each other on a pact.

Sarah and I used to go out all the time. I was me and she was a double Aquarian so you know we raised some serious hell but sometimes one or the other of us would fail.  Maybe it’d be PMS, who knows. But we decided that when this happened we would call each other back in this way:

If if were me acting up she’d say, “Hey, Elsa, could you try not to suck?”

::smiles::

That would be my cue to stop sucking and I would return the favor of course.

You wouldn’t believe how well this worked.  Elsa and Sarah kept each other from sucking almost100% of the time for about a year and a half so here is my advice:

Go out there and try not to suck.

    This entry made me LOL.

I’ve been trying to figure out this stellium you’ve been talking about (I told you I was a slow learner). This entry explains it beautifully to me.

Last night was the last night in the house; M and I will be sleeping in the apartment tonight for the first time. Scared shitless about making it on my own financially, but overjoyed to be out of this house of depression I’ve been in for 13 years.

I have a lot of Virgo, and I’m currently terrified. At the same time, I’m elated at the changes that have me terrified and I’m all smiles outwardly. Hide that fear!

Today, I go forth with this mantra: “Kris, try not to suck”. lol

This is so timely for me…with six planets in Virgo and Libra, I guess I’m quite the unappealing character. ;)

Another day and the Sun and Saturn will be exactly conjunct at the same degree as my Mercury, 11 Virgo. Tomorrow is Back-to-School, and all three of my kids will now be in school. I’ve been a SAHM for almost 9 years, and the pressure’s on me (Saturn!) to go back to work. However…wishy washy Libra still wants options to explore.

The doily analogy is hilarious and SO true. I’ve been conscious of doing that since I was a kid, long before I knew I had planets in Libra.

It’s going to be one interesting fall season.

“with six planets in Virgo and Libra, I guess I’m quite the unappealing character.”

Lis - No. It is the Saturn conjunction with the Sun (control) in compare with all the Libra (cardinal control) that creates the jarring conflict.

Virgo and Libra do not have problem other than the fact they’re not quite related.

Gotcha, Elsa. These transits ARE affecting the most active area of my chart. I haven’t felt this battered (and energized, to be frank) in a long time.

  6. Madeleine says on 9/2/08 at 8:21 am:

Battered would be putting it mildly– having to deal with employee problems in our business this week– when someone returns form vacation– is like waiting for the hurricane to hit land–I am tired, angry, hard to find my optimism under the rubble–the immediate future looks like LOTS more work for me, due to these issues,I am exhausted already.. I am mad I have to DO SOMEONE ELSE’S WORK and I am not happy because about 6 months ago I SAW THIS COMING and no one would listen to me.. now I’m stuck with being the “savior” again.Ugh.

My SO is the virgo and I’m the libra…at least last night. :)

  8. Little Miss Hermit says on 9/2/08 at 9:29 am:

I have Virgo and Libra and am doing both - but in self-defense; need to appear untouchable these days. (Gimme shelter - no takers).

  9. Natasha says on 9/2/08 at 9:51 am:

The other is my brother - older - and I am being Saturn….as a Capricorn of course. He screamed at me in front of the family and my kids to GROW UP, which is not an obvious one as I am Leo rising.
Anyway, Elsa, your reminder that Saturn was kicking those with PLuto in Virgo in the mid degrees woke me up to what this is all about and gave me a doorway through which I could access my brother. Brilliant. His PLuto is 12 degrees Virgo and as the conjunction of Sun and Saturn is in the same area he is bound to feel unnerved and uncomfortable. And who better to lash out to than his sister with that hazy Venus in Pisces in the 7th.
Am fed up with the pattern and am practicing being my own container and protector, but I can only do it when I understand what others - when unaware - are acting through. Like Saturn/Pluto and an out of control Mars.

  10. Jessica says on 9/2/08 at 10:17 am:

This is going to keep me laughing all day. I’m off to try not to suck.

  11. Elsa says on 9/2/08 at 10:19 am:

“I’m off to try not to suck.”

Well for some of us it’s a fuckin’ job, I’ll tell ya! :)

  12. wyrdling says on 9/3/08 at 7:55 pm:

    huh.

i better work on that ;)
i don’t get putting doilies on problems. but being nice about fixing them helps….
