One of the most interesting ways in which I observed astrology in academia was when I took a 19th philosophy class last semester. We started with careful, deliberate Tauran Kant and moved on the Virgo Hegel.

It was so funny to go to Marx after that. Such an Aries. “Fuck you!!!”, all his works screamed. So much angry compared to the Taurans and Librans (Nietzsche couldn’t make up his mind to save his life) who preceded and followed him. Anyway, that’s just my high-falutin’ academic observations.
Hugh Grant is another Virgo who I love for his wryness and self-criticalness.

More about philosophers: Libra Heidegger’s philosophy is the only one ever to fall right into place for me. His Sun is on my Mercury:)
(The Nazis removed him from the position of rector of the University of Freiburg - one of the reasons being that he wanted rule by philosophers! He had several planets in Libra. Astrotheme has the chart).
LOL Little Miss Hermit, maybe that explains why my Libra-heavy philosopher friends are so into Heidegger. I have great synastry with Jung, everything you would want in a serious relationship. His ideas clicked so well w/me when I was a teen and I was into everything Jung. Now I tend to dislike most Jungian texts save the man’s primary texts.
But back to Virgo… Some quotes from a very atypical Virgo, Fiona Apple:

I don’t know if the Fiona Apple quotes are atypical. I’m very much a Virgo and that sounds.. a lot, like me. Even if an experience sucked, if you learn from it… then it was worthwhile.
