Mars At The Barber… Again

Astrology in real life

barber chairI am about to start posting a new series on the soldier that is infinitely rude but instructive. I have started writing (and getting my nerve up) and then today he shows his other side.

The soldier has had horrible and I mean terrible haircuts for 6 months. I wrote about the first one (Barberess) which was so bad he had to wait several months to even try to get it fixed and then he went to a barber here and another gal cut his hair - probably as bad as the other who can judge these kinds of things?

The point is his hair has been hideous and I do not exaggerate. In fact this has led me to tell him what people like you (yeah, you) say… that is, “The man is blah blah blah years old and still walking around with a shitty haircut.” Well let me tell you something: It is not necessarily his fault. And I don’t mind, thankfully. Because if I did mind I would have to kill myself, that is how bad his hair has been.

So he went back today. He went to the same barber as last time (they are close by) but intended to have the man in the shop (the owner) cut his hair rather than the woman from last time, who he thanked and over-tipped of course. I mean, the man is polite.

military_haircut.jpgHowever this is not what happened. There were two women in the shop today…he had the number 5. The gal who cut his hair last time called number 4, and the man in front of him, obviously in the know told the soldier he could go in front of him. So what does the soldier do?

Well he climbs back into this woman’s chair but decides then and there… “Can you do a military High and Tight?’

She said she could, enthusiastically no less, so this is what the soldier opted for… he came home bald and I have to say it’s an improvement. I mean it suits him, he’s a soldier so what the hell?

I dunno but I have PMS and told the soldier I feel buried in hair and hair. He said, the hair - yes.

::sighs::

I really have no desire to get on that camera with my hair this big, I’ll tell you that. And he begggggggs me not to cut it as does my son (who sides with the soldier against me on allll issues)

I have been instructed to use “Curly Sexy Hair” and forget about doing anything but that - The men around here agree

I can do a high and tight but it’s been a few years since anyone’s asked. and yeah, it pretty much is bald.

That’s so funny! My ex always had bad hair. ALWAYS. I didn’t care either.

On a different note, I shaved my head 8 months ago and the stage it is currently in is so freaking awkward you wouldn’t believe it. I look like a cross between a 1970s cottage-country mum and a 1970s european soccer player. Anyway you slice it, I have terrible hair right now. It’s actually hilarious.

I’m chuckling at the soldier. Too polite for his own good, just like my honey! :-D

And Elsa, I would be happy to trade hair with you for a week or so, at least. Mine is a similar color to yours, and ever so thick and heavy and pretty, but very straight. I always wanted curls. So you take my straight Indian hair and I’ll take your curly Italian hair, and when we’re both good and tired of it, we’ll trade back! ;-)

Me too Kashmiri, My hair is repulsive at the moment. I avoid the mirror at all costs - 70’s mum/2nd world war orphan. SOOOO BAD. I am waiting for better hair days as I really don’t know what to do at present. And on the x - he had aweful cropped hair when I met him and then he started allowing his greyish curly thick hair to grow and it was so yum with his thick bespectacled blind intellectual green eyes. I saw him recently after the whole dissolving relationship process and he had had it shaved again and he looked like a baby trying to stay in control of his man all over again. He had gotten so beautiful and then I saw him again and he was so….ordinary. (hopehe doesn’t know about this blog)

Hair matters to me! I can’t look straight at a man with habitually bad hair for too long. I’d go cockeyed.
