I would have thought he was talking about something in his throat like a cross betweem something trach- meaning throat, and something oidal, like adanoidal, adanoids. Him being a Taurus that made sense to me given that a lot Tauri have issues in the throat from time to time.
Every time I hear something on this topic I am more and more grateful that I somehow never took calculous.
