Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Great analysis and one that those of us readers/listeners can take to heart. I’m with you on the gloom & doom part. If we have to pare down our lives and go for quality as opposed to quantity, all I can say is “It’s about damn time!”
Thank you for that post, Elsa. I am very much looking forward to Pluto going into Capricorn, since Pluto has been all up down over & around my chart for 12 years in Sagittarius–I think it really covered EVERYTHING in my chart, Sag rising, with most of my planets in fire signs, 3 planets in Leo in the 9th house, and oh yeah then it opposed almost everything else, which is in Gemini.
I am psyched to put the lessons of these years (they are precious to me, but I am ready for the next phase) into a streamlined, clean, well-informed, mature structure. A grounded form! Organized (thank you Saturn in Virgo)! Constructed with care & maturity. Thoughtful and wise around time and money. Built from hard-earned experience. LOVE it.
I am also really grateful Saturn’s in Virgo. Stuff–like organization and taxes and administrative systems–that I have been trying and trying to get a handle on the past two years of Saturn in Leo (but always seeming to go up in a little poof of smoke about and never quite getting in place)–these are just naturally falling into place for me now with an ease that I forgot even existed (the Saturn Leo years were rough in a big way–I just got used to it–, but this was how I learned so much about where my open fireball enthusiasm needs boundaries and groundedness. . . ) xxoo-e
I have tenth house Mars, Pluto and Uranus in Virgo and am paying close attention to Saturn in Virgo. I’m working really hard on all levels right now and I definitely feel that it’s going to be possible for me to prosper. I expect it to be a slow climb and that’s ok. I’m up for that.
My guy tells me “you’re not a gypsy anymore”. There is a sense of putting down roots and gaining a great deal of stability but this time I’m doing it on MY terms.
i really appreciated this explanation, because it gives me something concrete to work with…this next year is going to be a busy one for me and i can use these as guiding principles to help me stay on course…streamline, automate, do the work up front to make it smoothly later on, don’t get hung up on things that don’t matter, plan ahead…see? i can work with this.
Funny you mentioned taxes, Elizabeth, in connection with Saturn in Virgo. I finally got 2005 and 2006 done this weekend!
I don’t know if you’ve seen this, but awhile ago Vanity Fair published an article on America in the upcoming year in regards to this Pluto transit:

It’s fascinating stuff.
Valkyrie, sister in taxes–I got my 2005 & 2006 done TODAY! Mailed out tomorrow, though, hahaha, thought the FedEx pickup was 5:45–it was 5pm, yes, yes, we know what’s coming this week with the mercury. . .
Elsa,
You rock! I just LOVE your style. = ) Very Jupiter in Capricorn (Elegant flair!)
That was great
I’m glad pluto’s moving on as i have a stellium in the last degs of virgo and asc/node last degs of pisces. Its been an intense & bumpy ride the last few years. It will go on to square my venus/chiron in early aries and oppose lilth in cancer though so it still has some work to do on me but it will trine my sun as will saturn so swings & roundabouts.
Thank you, I’m a Cap, and I’m SO tired of hearing - serious, pessimistic, materialistic, cheap aka thrifty, and so on. Yes I can be all those things, but also something much spritually higher that most other people don’t begin to get, except by the way, for young guys, for some reason. Jesus was a Capricorn???
Nah, he wasn’t born during the winter solstice. Wonder what sign he actually was..
“It is the sincere and conscious wish of every Cancer, including the U.S.A., to make sure that all those under its wing are safe-and if you mess with them, you must be ready to face the Special Forces.”
Hahaha
Apparently the Soldier protects the nest. Is he still in the Special Forces? Forgive me if I missed something.
Dina - he is long retired. He’s in the history books at this point.
Yeah! I agree with not selling Capricorn short. In the U.S. (which is all I can really speak about), we are sorely in need of some Saturn. We’ve gotten sloppy and we’ve gotten lazy. Pluto can shake it up, and Saturn can straighten it out.
I love the idea of making your life like a house with no junk hanging off. That maybe venus in virgo loving that in particular:)
Cappy here. Last night, I was riding home on the train, and I opened a magazine and there was a photo of one of FLW’s houses outside Buffalo and I just stared for like ten straight minutes.
Now I know why.
There’s a local restaurant that is in a building and inspired by his designs - I love it. I just want to go sit in it.
