Mistaken Identity: “You Sure He Doesn’t Have Neptune On His Midheaven Too?”

kashmiri asks on Quintessential Soldier…
“Why would they think he is anti-war? Is it because he’s left military service? I’m scratching my head–you sure he doesn’t have Neptune on his midheaven too?”
kashmiri, I wondered the same thing and we discussed this. “How could he have you this mistaken?” I asked.
He specifically said that while they talk regularly they never discuss this kind of thing. “It has just never come up.”
I’ve since come to the conclusion that when people like you they tend to just assume you feel the way do about most things. There is agreement in the interaction and people extrapolate from there.
The reverse is probably true as well. If someone doesn’t like you they probably imagine they would disagree with you on each and every point and is likely a wrong impression as well. So I think this accounts for some of it but besides that, I repeat - The soldier does not talk.
Now you would get a different impression reading this blog because he likes to talk to me and he gets broadcasted but I am telling you he does not like to talk. He doesn’t like to talk, he is not supposed to talk and he just plain does not talk.
Further, his son told me the soldier though awarded virtually every medal they issue, could never wear them on his uniform. If you are awarded a medal doing something that never happened, well that means there is no medal.
Consequently there are people who believe he has never accomplished a thing in his life. Due this, they treat him with profound disrespect which garners them no reaction so if you consider all these things you might have a better handle on how someone might not have the slightest idea how the soldier feels about a young man wanting to be a ranger.
Basically if you want to know what he thinks, too bad. These days he tells people if they want to know what he’s doing, they should read my blog. And then they read it and go ape shit as if there is anything either of us can do about that.
You already know what the soldier thinks about people who have kittens. I have adopted his attitude and it’s saved me all kinds of grief.

you know what? I don’t think I’ve had kittens in a while. cool.
I like that statue– dude looks like he’s havin’ a chesterfield while airing out his junk.
Now he sounds like a quintessential scorpio!
“dude looks like he’s havin’ a chesterfield while airing out his junk.”
satori - LMAO
Hey Loonsounds, is that a slur against Scorpio’s?!!!!! lol
*LOL @ satori* It does, dunnit?

Ah. I love this feeling. When someone touches your heart so deeply, WOW!
I learn so much from your blogs, Elsa. Like, holy fuck. New experience, different tales, but something always resonates with your writing.Very collective oriented, I find. An emotion, or memory, or belief. I wonder if it is a Mercury/Mars in 9th expression?
satori you are so funny!
I’ve got this Neptune on Midheaven thing going, too. And yeah, if I keep my mouth shut people are likely to assume just about anything about me, depending on the day of the week, I suppose. But, see, I’ve got Mercury there, too, so I very seldom keep my mouth absolutely shut.
