Help From Astrologers? Need A Chart For January 10th, 49 BC
Ask the collective
Is there someone out there who can send me (the soldier) a chart for January 10th, 49 BC? Sometime in the evening, in Rome.
Thanks!

Hahahah, yeah, I’ll get right on that Elsa!!
OK, I’ll bite - why does he want it?
wow, I thought you were making a joke (I’m a newbie, right?!!) I didn’t think you could actually get one.
On January 10, 49 BC Caesar crossed the Rubicon (the frontier boundary of Italy) with only one legion and ignited civil war. Upon crossing the Rubicon, Caesar is reported to have quoted the Athenian playwright Menander, saying alea iacta est, “the die is cast”.
I’m so sorry, that was a wrong chart, this is the right link:

ditto on astro. here’s their standard ephem for the year: http://www.astro.com/swisseph/ae/m0000/ae_m0049.pdf
Utterly fascinating. Do tell us what you find.
I wouldn’t trust what astro gives you.. I tried to do Emperor Hadrian’s chart via them once and it didn’t quite correspond to the original authentic chart that was drawn up when he was born (one of the oldest in the world that still exists).. don’t know which one is wrong but Hadrian was a famous astrologer (predicted his own death apparently).. ways of calculating and expressing dates have changed so much that it is difficult to have a correct date..
Thanks Rogers, that’s very interesting (love history).
Oh my God, cool! Why/for whom are you doing this, Elsa!

Hi Elsa, I think you can get it on Astro.com by entering the date and -49 as the year, and this is for 6 PM:

Under Ephemeris you will find at the bottom all the years BC too.
Hope this will help.
