His Scorpio Moon And My 8th House: The Cooler

On Thursday we were cookin’ here. We have a swamp cooler that fits in the window and apparently the switch broke because it would no longer run on the high setting. “What is that?” I asked the soldier. “It seems pretty queer to me. It runs fine on low, and I flip this up and it continues to run but still on low? How did we lose our high setting and don’t you think it’s strange? Seems to me it would work at all but it just plays on low regardless.”
He explained it was probably the switch gone bad. He called it a 2-way blah blah and said he could probably replace it or if not, fix it somehow. That was late in the evening.
The next day we got up and I flipped on the cooler. I turned it on high and it start blowing normally. “Hey!” I said. “This thing is going again…”
Last night we were in bed about to go sleep. I went in the living room, the cooler was on low. I turned the water off, leaving just the fan running because otherwise we get froze out overnight because this is a small house and it’s a larger cooler. I went back to bed…
Five minutes later I heard to cooler start pouring out air on high. We have the bedroom window open which sucks the air back and there was just this huge rush of air, plus you could hear it roar on. I mean the thing is in the window and it’s loud.
“What the hell?” I said. ‘What the hell? I just… how the hell did that cooler get turned up? How?”
He stared.
“Just a minute. Let me turn the damned thing down, it’s freezing but then I want you to tell me what is going on with that thing, okay? I don’t see how this could happen.” (The soldier is essentially and electrical engineer and knows this stuff)
I turned the cooler down - The switch had been flipped and when I got back to the bedroom he explained it was the dead.
“The dead?”
“Yeah. They’re pissed off because I won’t talk to them…”
He does that “psychic” thing, remember? And when he does sometimes he runs across dead people (who he ignores) and then they do things like this.
He’s told me about things like this before but now I’ve witnessed it. I live with a freak, y’all.

We have the ghost of a baby in our house. He was the former homeowners’ child. I thought he had gone but evidently he is still here, according to someone who recently visited.

Interesting Lupa, I am not so sure that I could be as nonchalant as you sound if dead people were trying to talk to me

eh, yeah. that’s the way i understand it anyway.
Oh it’s not creepy like in the movies. They appear as glimmers around the edge of my vision and thoughts in my head that I know aren’t my own. If I get still and quiet I can have a conversation with them in my head. It’s either dead people or I’m crazy.
The interesting times have been when worked at a restaurant called Shades of all things. I saw someone, described him to people who had worked there longer than I had and apparently pegged an old regular who had died a couple of years prior.
Oh and if I think about it I can imagine what they look like. I think they usually look the way they saw themselves before death. One girl had killed herself and was afraid of going to hell. I always just helped them see their spirit guides so they could move on.
My childhood was filled with paranormal experiences. I love to hear “ghost stories”.
So Lupa, do you have a Scorpio moon as well/ strong 8th house etc ? Where in your chart would you say this talent is shown ?
12th house Scorpio moon and Neptune, Scorpio ascendant. Cancer Venus in the 8th house. Saturn in Pisces just to cover all the watery bases and make my reality very shifty. Gemini sun so I guess they figure I’m likely to talk to them.

Very cool story! I’m a total believer myself, and have had a few experiences over the years. Auditory as well as visual. Thankfully, I’ve never had any voices in my head…! But the sounds I hear are for example in the form of tapping, like there’s someone in the next room writing on a keyboard. The visuals are very blurry, very much like the special effects in “The Devil’s advocate” in the scene were the demons catch up with the jogger, if you’ve seen that. And I have some talent for clairsentience. I’m flooded with impressions whenever I visit old buildings (I love Medieval castles!) or is it just my admittedly overactive imagination?;)
I did an online remote viewing test once (here: http://www.gotpsi.org/bi/rv.htm). I got French philosophy, political negotiations, predominantly male environment, the smell of aging leathery furniture, I got the architecture right, the windows, the lawn, I was “inside” one office… The answer was Capitol Hill. I freaked:P and have never tried again… Maybe it was the transits that day!;) (I am born, raised and live in Northern Europe; Capitol Hill is on the news like twice a year). A bit off topic, but at least it’s paranormal!
I have only Uranus in Scorpio (conj NN & MC) in water, but my 8th (Virgo and Libra) and 12th (Sagittarius) houses are heavily emphasized anyway… I’ve noticed that MC is at the midpoint of Pluto/8th and Neptune/12th, even if I don’t know the significance of that;D

This stuff used to happen to me all the time, now I just avoid it like the plague if I can.
Once I told the spirit in my aunts’ new house that I wasn’t willing to play and ten minutes later my grandfather “fell” down the stairs where the guy (?) liked to stay. I never went upstairs again and only visited when I had to. *nodnod*
Yikes. I might have some Scorpio, but that stuff freaks me out!
The weirdest thing that ever happened to me that way.
Some guy: “Loonsounds, let me tell you, I was born in a very weird place, you would never guess where.”
Loonsounds: “Ummm, how about, say, Liberia?”
Some guy: “Holy crap” (totally freaking out cuz it was right)
that was a weird coincidence and he kind of totally avoided me after that
I probably would have said the Congo, Loonsounds, because it reminds me of a Life in Hell strip.

… i have scorpio moon and pluto in the 12th house conjunct ascendant as well… but i don’t see ghosts (probably for the better)… although, when i was a kid and had to go out to errands at night, i would talk to trees on my way to the store because i was scared… but that’s an entirely different matter… 0_0;;;
8th house Scorpio moon/Neptune conjunct, also conjunct Mars on 9th house cusp.
I had a powerful experience many years ago in a house that used to be a widows’ residence and mental institution. It’s now the home of several nonprofits. When I went into one room, there was an overwhelming pull in the middle of my solar plexus - then when we toured a separate house in the back I felt the same pull but it was so sad, I had to leave. It was definitely not coming from me. I looked around to see if anyone else was noticing it.
I found out later that the place is haunted. Construction projects continuously fell apart (a gazebo went down without any weather related issues) as well as many other stories. The place I felt the most sadness was where they housed people with mental issues.
Before I knew what was going on, I prayed for the souls who had reached out to me. I did this the next week while I was in church. The priest called me out when I went to communion and asked if I was a Catholic - during communion. It was the freakiest experience of my life. I continued to pray for them for a while after that.
I haven’t had this type of interaction since, but I put it out there that I also didn’t want this interaction again.

I went through a phase where dead people were trying to talk to me all the time. I finally told them that wasn’t my specialty and that I am only willing to work with living clients and they stopped.
Interestingly, I had did a dream interpretation for two different people who dreamed about their dead loved ones in the last couple of days. So I guess they’re still finding me.
