Yesterday I went for my massage, this is something I committed to when Pluto went into Capricorn. Deep tissue massage, see? Once a month. And via various hijinks of the universe I wound up with a certain therapist who replaced the Katrina refugee from New Orleans I used to see.
The new gal… well she is a romp. We have to control ourselves because the first time I saw her we both started laughing so hard and so roaring-ly at the antics of the client she had prior to me, we disrupted the whole place which is set up to be serene. ::blush::
But anyway, I like the hell out of this woman and talk freely to her. I talk about the soldier…being afraid to give me a massage in case he accidentally break my neck… and also being jealous of her and how touching me may lead to FATALITY and we just laugh and laugh (but quietly). I also talk about my daughter and she is greatly astonished. You just don’t hear stuff like this (stories) every day and you don’t get to say it either so it’s a great celebration for both of us.
Of course it wouldn’t be that way if we were any other two people. I just know she is a Sadge (or Jupiter) rising. She is probably both because she has a pronounced overbite which is almost always in evidence when Jupiter rises which means you can’t put this gal down. She’s just too buoyant (so am I) but here’s my point:
She told me yesterday, of all the people she sees, I was the one who most needed a massage and I told her I agreed.
“This stuff has to happen to someone,” I said. “And if it’s me, then it’s not you. So yeah. Some of us carry more burden but then the universe sends people like you to cheer us and it seems to work out just fine….”
Later the soldier learned I’d written about the Plantain girl… the girl shot off the fence, etc. It led us to list all the little girls in his life and there are a stream of them of course.
Regarding the plantain girl, I said, “Most people have never had an experience like that. What it must have been like to leave her. (She said she had a tattered dress and a dirty little face) They just never come anywhere near anything like that - Bombs and gunfire going off.”
I was holding one of his legs in this kind of homemade traction that eases the pain from the fact they have been broken, shot, and are full of shrapnel. They have been like that for years but never any help
“Most people have never had that kind of experience and they get to contact it thanks to you. Some gal said it was the best war story she ever heard.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, they can’t hear a story like that from anyone like you so the least I can do is pull on your legs and twist them. I like doing this, you gift people all day long and it’s bound to come back…”

Pisces rising with Jupiter co-ruling the Asc. Wicked overbite and wide space between my two front teeth, you could drive a truck through it. 3.5 years of orthodontia, and I’m grateful to have had it.
Yup. Yesterday I was blessed to have the opportunity to help a very old man across the street. He was so wobbly with his stick and you know what?
As SOON as I linked arms with him he was steady as anything. It was unbelievable and it made me so happy.
Perfect example of giving and receiving in my Universe.
I do conciously look for opportunities to give, and I also make it a point to not ignore promptings when they come to me. Sometimes the gift is no big deal to me, but may make a difference to someone else. And yes, I do receive and I’m very grateful for all of my blessings.
YEah, i do try to give… but really its more of a not being horrding and possesive with the bounty that surrounds us all. (most) This even goes with things like men, opportunities, my home, ect… If i share what i’ve got, then when i do recieve from the universe, it just feels natural and like there is someone looking after me….
You know, once I consciously started receiving, I got much better at giving.
I consciously give of everything I can possibly give. I don’t know how to recieve…I am working on that…it is just so hard to.

Yes I give consciously and unconsciously. Virgo sun, pluto, north node, and Uranus in Leo 6th house.
I am very good at recieving, except that I suck when opening presents in front of others. It’s something I really cannot stand. Carried forward from childhood somehow, not sure how this came about.
Escuse me, but I have a question. What does “Jupiter rising” mean. Does it mean that Jupiter is the first planet encountered looking counter-clockwise from the Ascendant?
I’m just wondering, because maybe this is about me (again). I’ve got, like, Sag rising, and then the first planet is Jupiter (in second house, i.e. Cap).
And, oh yeah, I’m a massage therapist.
I’m not sure, actually. (Woo! Libra!!) I think I’m alright at giving, but I don’t seem to receive much — so maybe I don’t give as much as I think I do?
Yesterday I was waiting at the transit mall for my connection and decided to buy a water. Inside the little store there, the lady in front of me was counting out change for her $2.42 sandwich and chips. Pennies, people, pennies. So I gave her a dollar, which was all I could spare and still get home. She was surprised, I think. She thanked me and said, “This morning I was rolling change for my electric and gas.”
“Hey,” I said, “I’ve been there. You’ll make it through, somehow.”
The look on her face, gratitude, it was AWESOME. 
Made me happy allllll day.
Johnnie, I’ve always thought of Jupiter rising as having Jupiter conjunct (less than 10º from) your ascendant in the 1st house. I’m a novice, though, so I could be wrong. 
Johnnie - yep. Sadge rising is sadge rising, Jupiter rising is Jupiter conjunct the ascendant and Jupiter rising in Sadge would be both.

Ahhh this made me laugh, I’m Sag rising and I do have an overbite and it doesn’t seem to bother anyone BUT me. Pluto is currently making its way through my first house… And I plan on at sometime facing my fear (Saturn conjunct Asc.) of the dentist (Saturn/teeth) and transforming my smile (transformation of self, 1st house, Pluto…) Yeah!!! I hear “you’ve got the most beautiful smile” a lot, but when I look in the mirror I see straight sides, and bottom, then this overbite. Grrr. Hahah. Oh well, at least I’ve got all my teeth and the access/resources to have them fixed. It’s just an irrational phobia from when I was a child. Workin’ on it
As for giving, people say I give them comfort (5th house Taurus moon) and dependability. Sound advice. That’s nice, but I’m most often just speaking the truth and using some common sense. I receive something (not always a good something) from someone in my life everyday. Whether or not they’re aware of it… That’s the question. But I’ve got a secretive Mercury, so I’ll never tell
