Elsa P’s Little 8th House Quiz On Trust
Ask the collective
Here’s a little question for you: The soldier has been at his job for a couple of weeks now and it is clear that his bosses (two partners) trust him implicitly. He can be trusted implicitly and I admire the hell out of people who can tease something like this out quickly. It speaks of high intelligence to me.
I have this experience fairly often myself. People write me and state, “I know I can trust you.”
They are right but I have little idea where they get their information. I have my guesses but that’s not the same so now I want to ask:
Do you know someone you can trust when you see them? How? Do you consider yourself smarter than most?

On question 1, NO, apparently not. I am way too naive and it has caused all kinds of problems. I am not even sure where that is in my chart.
On question 2, the answer is YES, I am extremely book smart. I guess that is genetic, my mother skipped a lot of grades and supposedly my father was brilliant, yet he died from alcoholism.
I guess there are different kinds of smart.
There are definitely different kinds of smart. I’ve got the “book smart” thing going on, but I don’t usually know a trustworthy person when I see them.
I also think I have good intuition about people, as I like to observe and take notes in my head. I’ve developed a great knack of knowing who I should not get close to.
I think I am averagely smart about all kinds of things, but I suck at math and things of he sort, although I am analytical and organized.
I also think I’m morally smart (if there’s such a thing) and smart at making decisions best for myself and my family, and also knowing what is important in life. For me, that’s the best thing I can be smart in.
I’m completely comfortable with my inner sonar as far as trust issues with people. Which means I don’t trust anyone as far as I can throw them. Everyone is innately self-directed. That is not to say I don’t like people or trust them in certain situations or have trustworthy friends that I love, but deep down I trust you with my life stuff? No way, Jose.
Neptune 8th, Scorpy Moon 7th. I can almost smell trustworthiness.
I don’t know if the smart thing is related. . .I used to think I was smarter than a lot of people, but I can also be arrogant, so I haven’t quantified it in those terms in a while.
I know lots of “smart” people who haven’t a clue about human nature.
I’m usually an excellent judge of character - unfortunately, as very few can be trusted. Haha! Those I trust are very often female Aquarians who have Scorpio planets (I have 3 friends with this combination, one of whom is my most trusted female confidante and one the smartest female I know;) and male Scorpios are super people as well. They’re there for me, if sometimes only in spirit:)(->Uranus generation!))
I’ve the Sun in Virgo and Mercury rx and Pluto conjunct in Libra in the 8th, sextile 12th house Neptune. Midheaven, Uranus and NN conjunct in Scorpio.
I can look at you and tell if you’re trustworthy.I know that when Adam ate the apple, it was all over.I also know that if someone (anyone) were to cross a line with me sometimes there’s no coming back. I have strong placement of Pluto but didn’t know it was that strong. Can’t think of why. As for booksmarts, when I want something I usually get it. So who needs booksmarts? Not me. Though I can play it off. I know enough.
I can usually sniff out a trustworthy person, but it’s only because I’ve been knocked around by those who weren’t. It has nothing to do with my *booming voice* SUPERIOR INTELLECT!!! (Says Mercury in Leo.
)
Are people with a lot of Scorpio more hesitant with their trust than not?
I’ve met people who are less likely to trust someone automatically or more distrustful, often cynical, dicky misanthropes. I am not always on my guard and more likely to trust someone. When I walk around I am protective of myself and of my friends (Cancer stellium) especially from creepy men and, unfortunately, homeless people who try to talk to me. Sorry if that sounds bad. Many homeless people in New York are untrustworthy. My idiot Libra friend enjoyed the attention of some creepy man (do Libra types often enjoy attention or intend to be nice to people even when I don’t care to give strangers the big fuck you?) and got slapped on the knee. What a pussy. To hit a woman, nay slap her. And on the knee. My attitude is generally to protect my people (which with the Gemini flakiness, anyone who is closest to me at the moment becomes my people no matter who it was before) and not be afraid to stomp on strangers. I can be quite rude to strangers. Particularly intractable secretaries. My Libra friend judges people for not being nice to personnel. But this is a fake niceness, I think. My Aquarian friend rages at injustices done to broad identity groups, but is willing to defend a stranger over me. That pisses me the fuck off.
Interesting and, at times, funny post, Dina.
There was this homeless guy in San Diego, and if you said no, he would start swearing and cussing at you in the most colorful language. Another homeless guy, I saw him sitting out there with his Starbucks everyday.
It would be totally uncool to be slapped, but if I have to be slapped somewhere, I’ll take it on the knee ![]()
I don’t understand Aquarians either. Can someone explain them to me? Not many on this blog, are there?
There is a homeless guy in Stamford, CT who dresses in drag and wears funny hats. Today I saw him wearing a Mercury or Hagar the Horrible hat. I wonder if he is an Aquarius. And if it’s Mercury, tres appropriate. I’m sorry about the homeless people stuff, I have to be honest, I hung out until 5:00 in the morning with one homeless guy because I thought it would be interesting, I suspended disbelief until I had to accept that he was a pathological liar trying to Shanghai me into having sex with him.
From the You know you’re from Stamford when quiz:
62) Dougie White has tried to kiss you, Dougie Black has asked you for money, and the crazy bum in the skirt has yelled at you
the crazy bum in the skirt=that guy
instincts.
every time i’ve gone against my gut and trusted someone somebody else thinks i should that i don’t i end up screwed over, too….

I have good instincts — I often know who can’t be trusted.
As well, people trust me totally, sometimes even without seeing me face to face– I wish I knew what they were picking up on–
Regarding trusting others, i just get a “feeling” — it’s rarely wrong….
