Astrologer, Kathryn Cassidy: EVERYTHING disposited by Mercury Rx !!
Ask the collective
Kathryn Cassidy points out this morning that everything in the sky is disposited by Mercury Rx. You can get her read on this over there, as well as a very interesting list of people and things that correspond to Mercury in Gemini.
Mercury-ruled Geminis and Virgos are obviously focal at the moment and when I was speaking with astrologer, Claire-France Perez this morning about having to make this decision… well needless to say, she advised me to take my time with it as all the information is not in yet.
I would say this is good advice for all and in fact I pleaded with a client this morning, not to dump the man just knowing if she did she’d regret it.

Anyone else taking their time making a decision?

Thanks for this. Same here. My dating situation is going really well - too fast - and i just found out I have to move out of my place by the fall. And I have an ear infection. All of this is just freaking me out and I want to ruuuun but feel this would leave me even more freaked out.
I’m just stuck in final paper grading hell. God, when will it end??
Yes, I feel paralyzed!! I can’t decide, quite literally, anything.
As for the astrology.. I not only have natal Merc in Gemini and Virgo rising, I also have Saturn smack on my ascendant, exact today.
I have Gemini Rising in my first house…This has been a doozy retro.
I am enduring a disappointing breakup which involved crazy mis -communications via email!
Yikes! looks like i’m not the only one. Four months since our last date, and one minute I think he’s stuck on me, the next I think he’s over me. :o( My Scorpio sun and Taurus moon patience will last a little longer, but will I actually get anywhere? Darn Scorpio males!
:::groan:::
P.S. Double Leo, gotta watch those friggin emails! So incredibly easy to be misunderstood, as I’m sure EVERYONE knows!
I’m not taking my time w/decisions, per se…but I’m very stuck by everyone/everything else! Try finding an apartment…in NYC…while all this retrograde stuff is going on!!! Sheesh…I’m crossing my fingers on the last one I saw b/c the guy said I just had to bring him the $$$…but it has been like I’m the damn coyote running into the tunnel/brick wall the road runner just painted…over and over ![]()
My Mars & Saturn are both in Gemini, so I guess it’s related…
Things are actually going well. Swimmingly, even! Last night my fairly new Sun Moon Merc Gem guy was begging the question, as he looked into my eyes and made me squirm: “So what do you think is going on here?” to which I replied, “No, no, you’re the Gemini, why don’t YOU tell ME” and he only half avoided the out and out statement that we are way on the road to completely loving each other. I knew it anyway, but I would never be so direct at this point. And we also were using “we” a lot and making lots of plans. I am going to hold off buying a new car until Merc is direct, but communications have been kinda good and moving forward. hmm.
Sigh, why do I always have to embark on some new project or communicate when Mercury in retrograde hits? I’m totally taking my time.. in looking for a teaching job which kind of requires that I act immediately. I just graduated, my plans are purely hypothetical, I have no idea quite what to do but must shake ass immediately. Lilly, I feel your trying to find an apartment in NYC pain, I’m taking my time with that too. Is this such a bad time to do all that job-finding, apartment hunting stuff that can’t wait?
Taking my time. Waiting it out.
Last night I even used my astro-skills to counsel my mother. It was unsolicited counseling, but she listened (throughout a CONSTANT loud clicking through the phones, I said “Let me call you back” but she was like, “No, my phone is doing this right now.”
Listen to this demonstration of Merc Rx dispositing everything….here is a little bit of how it went down.
I get this belated e-mail from my mother in which she “reminds” me that she was to have a tooth extracted today. Last minute e-mail, like “Oh yeah, by the way…remember….?”
Well, something about that did not sit well and I was moved to call her up. After all, she is on a blood thinner for a heart condition. She is 78 years old. And last time she underwent a procedure that involved some kind of anesthesia, she almost died. She had a reaction where her throat closed up (we are all Taurus), and the out-patient clinic was not prepared, she turned gray…the whole time, I was in the waiting room watching all these people panic and not knowing, just knowing my mom was back there, anyway…
So I called her and said, “Mom your astro-daughter needs more details about this procedure.”
Turns out she had received multiple pieces of conflicting information, one from “someone representing her GP” saying go off the blood thinner for 5 days prior to the extraction, another from “someone in cardiologists office” saying don’t go off of it at all, and several others.
The story of how she got ANY answers was so convoluted I could not even keep up ….it was obvious that NO one wanted to make a decision about anything on their own. The dentist deferred the decision to the doctors, the doctors back to the dentist, apparently this had been going on for a while, and all the facts were not in or medically coordinated.
She was still fully planning to go have it done, and she was still ON the blood thinner, having favored the decisions (combined) of a dental assistant that she is fond of and someone from the cardiologists office.
I just said, Mom, is this tooth hurting you right NOW? She said, “NO, it just has a cavety they said it might be hard to save it.”
I said, “Mom, you need to put this off for a bit. There is too much chaos. Let’s go in and talk to your GP first” (and she already has an appointment with him on June 24, yay).
Then she tells me “Well, I decided not to take my blood thinner pill tonight because I was getting a bad feeling about all this.” So she agreed to cancel and reschedule after the 24th!
Some would chastize me, say I’m playing God. But how do I know that God is not working through me? Maybe yes, maybe no, but I could not just sit here and say nothing.
That may have been a good call, Loonsounds. Does anyone ever regret listening to their inner voice? I think people usually regret NOT listening to it!
Mercury Rx must be on a planet, or aspecting an angle to really be “felt” by an individual… Mercury in Gemini is at least in his own sign! But communications have a few tricks, so I agree with Elsa on the waiting part. It’s also a “collect the evidence” moment, because of inattention or escapism: Watch for the Mercury square to Uranus on the day of the Rx! That’ll jump out if you don’t watch for it. (oh. and don’t forget the little white lies: They will be found out. That uranus square is an inconvenient truth-teller)
With a retrograde planet, you always revisit the material of the moment of the retrograde. Try not to “cut off” the connection in a snit, but roll with the punches, and collect your evidence. You will venture upon the same subject again soon.
This Rx of Mercury started its “shadow” on Mother’s Day. That means astrologers start to collect evidence starting on Mother’s Day, because that is the degree at which Mercury will go direct, 10 Gemini (or 12, I can’t remember) on June 19. Then, Mercury makes it to the degree on which it Rx’d by July 4th, and again squares Uranus… wooo hoo! … information gathering time may be closer to completion by the 4th of July.
My best advice is gather all your evidence, then decide in July.
cf
Interesting, CFP, maybe it is so hellish for me right now because I have Mars 12 degrees Gemini in the 3rd house of communications. I just looked at my bank account, and even though everything was mailed way ahead of the due date, NOTHING has cleared, and the due dates have passed!
I’ll be trying to remember, for a while now, exactly what it was that happened on Mother’s day, if anything.
so, (for instance) if a person needs to decide which road to take - between two different careers, does she mean wait til July to decide?
If you are having difficulty making a decision, deciding to not make a decision for awhile is sometimes the best decision. If you must know, then flip a coin, if you are happy [or unhappy] with the outcome you will have your answer.
hmmm, I think someone doesn’t like me, it keeps making my posts disappear
Thanks Spinner - good advice that I usually have my kids use, but kind of forgot it for myself.
Guess I made my decision. Chose the hard road. :::sigh:::
(5 more years of shool, and I’m a single mom. But at least their dad helps regularly)
Thanks Michelle- For me choosing to be happy whenever and wherever possible is important too. It’s that ‘Singing in the Rain’ kind of philosophy that can actually make life seem like magic and fun. Make the dull and boring stuff not so. I know that this is not always possible because sometimes there is some really awful stuff we have to deal with, but it can even make that easier too. Good for you to follow your heart! Good luck with your studies and your family!
Oh right, this is an astrology blog and I should say something about that. I am really getting into all these retrogrades especially Chiron!
I chose nursing, Spinner, “the dream”. Hopefully I’m not dreaming that it’s the better choice for me.
As far as retrogrades go, I’m still so new to this stuff that it’s all French to me. So I keep checking out all the different sites, trying to figure things out, next thing you know, it’s like, 11:30…. :::rolling eyes:::
Michele- you could not have chosen a more honourable profession. I am fairly new at this too. I really began searching and learning about this last year when I read a compelling horoscope about Saturn entering Virgo. There are not many days that go by that
I am not reading and learning about this in my spare time. I visit Elsa’s site daily. There is a lot of depth and variety and opinion and advice and emotion and wisdom and so many good reasons to stay tuned.
